Recap:
In the previous chapter, Leo Aetherwind faced public humiliation at the academy trial. Instead of resisting, he willingly accepted punishment, stunning the audience.
Behind this act, however, was a dark storm brewing in his heart.
His former self—the naive boy who once brought warmth and protection to his adopted sisters—was now gone.
Replaced by a transmigrator who remembered betrayal, death, and the sickening smile of those he once called family.
The world thought Leo had accepted defeat. But they had no idea—this was only the beginning of his vengeance.

Leo stood in front of the majestic iron gates of the Aetherwind household. The place that once meant home now felt like a rotten shell.
He dragged his suitcase forward and barked coldly, "Maid. Carry this to my room."
The housemaid—an elderly woman who had served the family for decades—lowered her head and replied nervously, "Young Master Leo, the Head Lady has forbidden us from serving you…"
Leo's eyes turned crimson with bloodlust.
SLAP!
A loud crack echoed through the marble hall.
The maid clutched her cheek in shock as Leo snarled, "Who the hell does that bitch Sophia think she is?! I'm the rightful heir of this goddamn place!"
His roar reverberated throughout the estate.
Every servant froze, trembling.
Leo's fury wasn't just anger.
It was the fury of a man who remembered everything—the humiliation, the betrayal, the moment his trust was shattered by the very people he gave everything to.
He stormed down the corridor, his boots echoing with rage. Just as he was about to reach his room, a cold voice called from behind him.
"Leo."
He turned to see the man who had raised him.
His father.
Lucas Aetherwind.
For a split second, Leo's heart stirred. In his previous life, he had died before ever seeing this man again.
But that moment of warmth quickly froze over.
This man let those two vipers stay… he thought bitterly. He enabled it all.
Lucas frowned. "Why did you accept today's punishment without defending yourself?"
Leo sneered. "So what did you expect me to do? Crawl on my knees to beg that traitorous wench Sophia?"
Lucas's face darkened, but Leo wasn't done.
"She stood by that sissy Alex and threw her own brother under the carriage. She sided with an outsider and brought shame to this house.
Do you understand that, old man?"
Lucas's expression faltered.
The Leo he knew would never speak to him like this.
Suddenly, Sophia appeared.
She had stormed in, ready to reprimand Leo. But the moment she stepped into his presence, her breath hitched.
Her cultivation as a Mystic Vein Realm, Third Sub-Realm warrior—the second highest known level in the family—did nothing against the oppressive aura Leo now emitted.
It was bloodlust refined through death.
"Sophia," Leo growled, his voice cold. "Did I say something wrong?"
She opened her mouth but no words came.
"Don't think everyone is as blind as you. The evidence was clear. Alex stole it. But because he reminded you of your pathetic past, you betrayed me. You turned on your own blood!"
Tears welled in Sophia's eyes. "I–I thought you'd understand…"
"You were wrong," Leo snapped. "It would've been better if you and that other bitch never stepped foot in this house!"
That sentence hit her like a thunderclap.
She remembered—it was Leo who had once begged their father to adopt them.
He gave them a home.
He gave them a future.
And she had repaid him with betrayal.
Why? she thought, How did we reach this point?
Lucas's face twisted in fury and confusion.
SLAP!
He struck Leo across the face.
"You dare speak like this in my house? Apologize! Now!"
Leo turned back, slowly, rubbing the sting on his cheek. Then he chuckled coldly.
"So what if I don't? What will you do, old man?"
Lucas's expression turned stern. "Then get out of this house!"
To his shock, Leo nodded.
"Fine. I'll leave."
Sophia gasped. "Wait—Leo!"
But he was already heading to his room to pack.
She followed, panicked, remorseful, but the look in his eyes made her stop in her tracks.
A moment later, as Leo walked down the corridor, he heard a familiar childish voice.
"Stinky brother! Go get me some snacks! Or I'll ignore you forever!"
It was Zoe, the younger sister he once loved more than life.
His rage, buried beneath layers of calm, surged again.
This was the girl who smiled at his death in his past life.
Without a word, Leo walked past her coldly.
Zoe blinked, confused.
She chased after him into the hall. "HEY! I'm talking to you, stupid!"
Before she could say another word—
"SHUT UP, YOU BITCH!"
Leo's roar echoed with demonic fury.
Everyone—Lucas, Sophia, even Zoe—stood frozen in shock.
This was the girl Leo once adored.
Now, she stood trembling.
And Sophia… finally understood.
It was all my fault…
Leo stood at the mansion gate, about to board the family carriage.
But Lucas barked, "This carriage is mine. If you want to leave—walk!"
He expected Leo to give in.
Sophia did too.
But Leo only smirked.
Without a word, he threw his suitcase down. He stripped off the family ring, the heirloom watch Lucas had gifted him, and even the pendant Sophia gave him years ago.
All of it—tossed into the dirt.
Finally, he threw away his noble jacket and turned around.
"No need. I'll pay back everything I ever owed you, Mr. Lucas."
He didn't even call him father anymore.
Lucas's fists clenched, but he said nothing.
Sophia dropped to her knees, tears falling. Zoe stood behind her, lips trembling in disbelief.
Leo didn't look back.
This time, I'll destroy everything that betrayed me.
