He clenched his fist, eyes narrowing.
"What does that even mean?!" he muttered.
Behind him, Rena stepped onto the balcony, holding a cup of tea.
"You haven't slept again," she said gently.
Kaito didn't look at her. "That thing... it wasn't just a monster. It knew me. It said my curse holds the truth."
Rena handed him the tea. "Then we'll find out what it means. Together."
He took the cup, his hand brushing hers briefly.
"...Thanks," he said, barely above a whisper.

Meanwhile, deep within the dark dimension, two monstrous figures stood in the misty ruins of an ancient city. One of them, cloaked in black shadows, looked up.
"He's waking up faster than expected," it growled.
"The curse is stirring… and the fangs of the past are sharpening again."

Back in the human world, Kaito had a dream. He stood in a field of ash and bone, and before him stood a girl with long black hair and silver eyes. She looked young — no older than Rena — but there was something hauntingly familiar about her.
She reached out to him.
"Kaito... remember me."
He gasped awake, sweat pouring down his face. Outside, the wind howled like wolves.
