Chapter 13 - Chapter 13: Breaking Point

Ida hesitated for a moment as Atilla approached them. The tension between Batuhan and Atilla was almost palpable. Atilla was waiting, his eyes never leaving Ida, but Batuhan's gaze seemed lost in a dark abyss. Both young men were fighting their own battles, and Ida found herself caught in the middle of this conflict.

"Why do you care so much about what we're talking about, Atilla?" Batuhan's voice had a slight coldness to it. The relationship between them was no longer friendly. Especially with Ida's power and Batuhan's hidden ambition, the conflict was becoming harder to conceal, even in Atilla's presence.

Atilla took a step closer. "I'm just curious about Ida," he said in a calm but mocking tone. "It seems you've been absent for a while, Batuhan."

Ida could sense where this argument was heading, and the tension within her grew stronger. She didn't want this confrontation to escalate. "Okay, that's enough, both of you," she said, stepping between them. "This isn't about me; we need to find a way out for all of us."

Batuhan paused for a moment at Ida's calming demeanor, but he still seemed agitated. "Maybe the right thing was to leave you alone," he said, averting his gaze. "But things have changed, Ida. Things you may not even realize."

Ida felt a chill at Batuhan's words. "What do you mean?" she asked.

"Your power," Batuhan whispered. "There's something about it you're not aware of. This power isn't just a gift, Ida. It comes with a cost, and it's a cost you'll have to bear."

Batuhan's words planted a seed of fear in Ida. How had she not realized Batuhan knew something so profound? How long had he been watching her? "What do you know, Batuhan? Tell me the truth."

Batuhan was silent for a moment, then a deep resolve appeared in his eyes. "I've found the source of this power. To fully control it... you'll have to sacrifice certain things."

Ida was disturbed by the change she saw in Batuhan's expression. What he was after wasn't just friendship or trust. He wanted something much more: her power. Ida understood Batuhan's real intentions now. But how much could she accept this truth?

Atilla stepped forward. "That's enough, Batuhan," he said firmly. "Leave Ida alone. Her power isn't something for you to play with."

"This is none of your concern, Atilla," Batuhan said, fixing his gaze on Atilla. "This is a matter between Ida and me."

Ida wanted to end this tension between them. But realizing Batuhan's true nature stopped her from backing down. "Batuhan," she said, taking a deep breath, "tell me clearly what you plan to do."

Batuhan's eyes darkened for a moment. "I just want you to know," he said quietly, "this power is waiting for me, not you. I'm the right person to control it. And whether you realize it or not, this path will end the same for both of us."

Ida took a deep breath at this threat. She knew now that she and Batuhan could no longer be friends, that what he was after was far more dangerous. "No, Batuhan," she said firmly. "This power is mine, and I'll decide how to use it. I'm not interested in your games."

At that moment, Batuhan took a step back. The darkness in his eyes distanced him even more. "We'll see," he said quietly, then turned and walked away without looking back.

Atilla stood silently beside Ida. "You shouldn't trust him, Ida," he said softly. "What he's after... it will put you in danger."

Ida felt Atilla's support and turned to him. "I know," she said. "But this power is mine, and I'll protect it."
