Sei rushed forward, baring his lance at the man. Michael didn't waver; he just jumped on the spot with a soft smile.
"Ahhhhhh," Sei closed the distance with a swing of his lance.
SWOOSH!
It slashed through air, Michael disappeared just like before, and suddenly Sei felt the presence again behind him. This time, he turned quickly, blocking the kick with his hand, but the sheer force sent him crashing into the crates on the other side of the alley, the lance in his hand shattering into drops of water.
The crash echoed like a blast. A man passing through the main street outside turned inside the alley, wearing normal clothes of a worker, "Hey, it's not good to fight, you know—" before he could finish, a spike of rock pierced through his mouth.
The man froze like a statue, his mind stopped, and then his lifeless body fell like a doll without strings.
