Chapter 92 - Chapter 92: Little Butterfly

Chapter 92: Little Butterfly

Uchiha Sasuke spent the entire morning quietly observing Ryosuke.

As for Ryosuke, having someone watching him like a damn peeping tom didn't bother him at all. He simply chose to ignore it, not even sparing Sasuke a glance, let alone provoking him.

Compared to Naruto—who had a calm mind and knew how to keep a low profile—Sasuke was the complete opposite. Influenced by the Uchiha blood running through his veins, his personality was overly emotional. He was impulsive, unstable, and dangerously close to tipping into madness.

That kind of guy was a walking time bomb, and Ryosuke had no plans of getting involved with him.

Besides, Sasuke graduating early wasn't good news—for anyone.

Through his Byakugan, Ryosuke could already sense it. If Sasuke left the Academy ahead of schedule, he'd likely develop a vengeful mindset toward Konoha. That kind of shift could trigger a massive ripple effect. For instance, the Akatsuki might move sooner than expected. If that domino led to Kaguya Otsutsuki's seal being broken early… well, that would be a total nightmare.

So yeah—Ryosuke had no intention of messing with Sasuke's path.

For now, he focused on maintaining a stable, quiet rhythm in his life, keeping his training consistent and low-profile. He needed time to grow. And with his presence already warping events, many things were bound to deviate from the original timeline. Some things would happen sooner; others might never happen at all.

Even if Ryosuke took every precaution, he couldn't completely avoid altering fate. That's the nature of change.

Fate might be visible through the eyes of a Hyuga, but it's still unpredictable as hell.

It's like this: someone who was supposed to meet their future wife at a certain time and place might miss the moment—just because Ryosuke showed up and nudged reality ever so slightly. That person could end up marrying someone else. Their future child, who should've been a ninja prodigy, might instead grow up to be a businessman or a scholar.

At first glance, it's just a small family matter. But later, when that kid doesn't become the ninja the world needed, the consequences start adding up. Maybe that ninja was meant to save someone during a critical battle in a future war. Without them, a chain of events unfolds—someone dies, a mission fails, the village loses… and a country falls.

That's the butterfly effect.

Ryosuke understood this concept better than most.

Hell, he and Naruto hadn't even met before the Academy started. But because Hinata had tried some awkward moves and ended up bonding with Ino and a few others, Naruto's personality had already shifted. Just like that, something subtle changed.

And subtle changes can snowball into something big.

That's why, instead of letting the world spiral unpredictably, Ryosuke took it upon himself to manage disruptions. To guide the flow. To keep the general direction of things on track—even if he couldn't control every detail.

It wasn't easy, of course. But it wasn't impossible either.

He had advantages.

First, he knew how the original timeline was supposed to unfold. He knew secrets hidden deep within the ninja world that very few could ever dream of.

Second, as a Hyuga, he was backed by a thousand-year-old clan with deep roots and massive intelligence networks—more than enough power to shake a small shinobi village to its core.

And lastly—perhaps most importantly—was Ryosuke himself.

This was his second life. In his first, he was already good at seeing the big picture and thinking five steps ahead. After two rebirths, his mind was sharper, faster, and far more calculating. Strategy and adaptation came naturally now.

With all that combined, Ryosuke had a pretty good grip on the bigger picture.

---

That afternoon's class was practical sparring.

Under the scorching sun, Ryosuke and his classmates stood on the dusty training ground, waiting for instructions.

Their teacher today was Mizuki, a Chuunin who was still technically a trainee instructor.

As the class lined up, Mizuki started assigning sparring partners—until a sharp voice cut through the quiet:

"Teacher Mizuki, I want to spar with Ryosuke."

It was Sasuke.

His voice was cold and loud, instantly drawing everyone's attention. The class turned to stare at him, then at Ryosuke, curious if some kind of drama was about to unfold.

Ryosuke, however, didn't even blink. He simply replied, calm and unbothered, "Sorry, Mr. Mizuki. I'll have to decline."

Then he turned his gaze to Sasuke, who'd been watching him like a hawk since the start of school.

"The Hyuga fighting style is a bit unique. I'd prefer to spar with Hinata—get used to each other's soft fist techniques."

He knew exactly what Sasuke was trying to do.

The guy wanted to use Ryosuke as a stepping stone, a grindstone to sharpen his own blade. Maybe the fight with Naruto had made Sasuke suspect Ryosuke was hiding his real strength, which wasn't exactly wrong. But Ryosuke wasn't interested in giving him a stage.

You shouldn't have come to school today, Ryosuke thought with a sigh. I just wanted to enjoy a chill day for once…

Mizuki, caught in the awkward spot between them, scratched his head. "Uh… maybe you two can talk it out? Or how about this—we make it a three-way spar? With Naruto graduating early, we've got an odd number in class anyway…"

Before he could finish, Sasuke cut in.

"Then you can be my opponent, Mr. Mizuki."

The words dropped like a hammer.

Mizuki froze, stunned.

"Huh? Me?"

He pointed to himself, visibly caught off guard. "Sasuke-kun, are you saying you want to challenge me?"

He was smiling, but deep inside, his pride had taken a hit.

On his very first day teaching, being challenged by a student… it was hard not to feel insulted.

Sure, he looked calm on the outside—but Mizuki was pissed.

---

Sasuke, meanwhile, wasn't acting out of disrespect.

He simply had nowhere else to turn.

He hadn't passed the graduation exam. He had no clan elders left to train him. He was stuck in place, and the Academy curriculum had nothing left to teach him. His classmates weren't strong enough to push him. He needed someone stronger. Someone who could pressure him and help him break through this invisible wall.

At first, he'd hoped Ryosuke would be that someone.

But Ryosuke clearly didn't care. He had no interest in Sasuke or his battles.

So Sasuke made a quick call.

If Ryosuke wouldn't do it, Mizuki would.

He'd fight his teacher—and win.

And maybe, just maybe, that would earn him a shot at early graduation.
