In this world, the trainer can be divided into two categories : Generalist and Specialist.
Generalist is a trainer who use different type of pokemon in their team. While specialists are focusing more on mastering a type. An example is Miguel, who focuses on water type pokemon.
Most trainer started out with pokemon of different types in their team, but as they continued their journey , they began to fall into one of these category.
While it's true that with different type of pokemon , we can counter pokemon from different types, and have more strategy in our arsenal, but it can cost you more time and money before you can success.
Because of that, most people choose to be specialists.
Since the experience on rising a pokemon of a selected type can also be used to rise other pokemon of the same type.
But the downside is how they can be countered with a super effective move type.
Exemple is how a Water-type Specialist finds it harder to defeat an opponent who is a Grass or Electric Type Specialist. But
found it easier to defeat Ground and Rock type Specialist.
