"Kuh, what the hell are you!"

A male screamed angrily towards a figure flying above them. The male had silver hair, donning on fragmented silver armor that clung to him.

This was a Longinus Balance Breaker, one which could kill even gods.

His abilities had the power to divide the opponent's strength, which is only rivaled by his counterpart who boosts its host's ability…

However, it hadn't worked on the being in front of him.

More so, a young-looking girl with blonde hair, draconic eyes, draconic wings, and armor donned that gave the feeling of a dragon.

She was more akin to the daughter of a certain Star Dragon King.

Mittelt.

"Give it up, worms. The me before you is beyond multiplication and division. Your measly ability to divide someone's power is a trifle to me; it won't work.."

How did things even happen again…

Ah yes.

It was about a few hours ago.

Not up to two, a little bit about an hour and half minutes ago.

They were sent on a mission pertaining to some ancient workshop.

He, Vali Lucifer, direct descendant of the Maou himself, had recently joined a terrorist group.

In fact, his goal was even simpler than you'd think.

To fight strong opponents—such was his drive.

Currently, it was night, the sky darkened, only lit by the shine of the moon and the twinkles of stars.

They were in front of one mausoleum in Egypt.

"Is it really here, nyaa~?"

A voluptuous figure, long black hair with split bangs, and hazel-gold eyes with cat-like pupils asked that while eying the mausoleum in the front.

"There's no doubt about it."

The blonde-haired, bespectacled male beside her said so with a nod of his head.

"Ka-ka, this place gives the creeps. Let's hurry up and get outta here."

The person to speak was a young man with short, light-colored hair, brown eyes, and an athletic build.

He dressed in ancient Chinese armor that was used during the Three Kingdoms period.

"Let's head in then."

"H-Hey, are we really breaking into that place?"

"Well, we have no choice. Orders are orders. And with how the leader looks like he's looking forward to it… yeah. It's that."

Bikou sighed, shaking his head. He was as much of a senjutsu user like Kuroka, and even he knew that that place reeked of danger.

However, with Vali looking forward to this mission—

"Haah."

The Crook and Flail of Osiris was the item they came here to look for.

It was a mission from Hades, who was affiliated with the Khaos Brigade.

Apparently, the god of death wanted to tighten his control over the realm of the dead.

Surely, doing this would anger the Egyptian gods. But if worse comes down to it, Arthur Pendragon was prepared for it.

"Stop dallying around, let's move."

They walked towards the grand architecture in front. Though it had no doors, it had a spatial gate that led inside.

Kuroka had detected it and had used her magic to get them inside.

Inside, it was dark, like what you'd expect from an old, abandoned mausoleum.

It was a place even the Egyptian gods hadn't used for a long time.

They only used it to store relics they no longer needed or used.

Sure, they could have asked for it.

However, other gods wouldn't like to see such a thing happen. No.

Anyways, the walls were lined in a singular hallway with markings and scribbles of ancient words and images.

"Well… this is cozy,"

Bikou muttered sarcastically, gripping his Ruyi Jingu Bang as his eyes darted about.

"Keep your focus. We're not here to sightsee."

Vali said that, stopping, hands still in pockets, aura farming in that corner of his world.

Kuroka's ears twitched, eyes narrowing as a finger fell on her lip.

"Lots of spiritual residue. Traps too… but nothing we can't handle, nyaa~"

"Alright then. If you've gotten the layout, let's move then."

With a nod, they all ventured deeper. And naturally, like Kuroka had said, this place was filled with deadly traps.

There was even some kind of spell that inhibited flight in some areas—heck, even isolation barriers too.

Were this any normal supernatural in this situation, then no doubt they'd have long bit the dust.

This was a maze created by gods.

However, these people weren't any normal supernatural beings.

Each and every one of them were High-class and above.

Kuroka being the weakest here at High-class being.

Still, it was plenty.

With Bikou supporting and the rest to guard her and interfere should the situation demand it, then it wasn't anything much, really.

By following the trails of the residual energies laying dormant, they soon found their target.

The walls were lined with faded hieroglyphs, depicting gods with jackal heads and hawk faces watching humans below them.

"...gods. How awfully haughty are they."

Vali muttered, looking around the aged wall.

Though it was thousands of years old already, it looked like it could last another thousand.

There were cracks, but the cracks weren't enough to bring this grand architecture crumbling.

"This should be it."

A massive doorway stood before them, towering, ancient, carved with images of Osiris enthroned and souls bowing.

It reeked of importance.

A hard to ignore place.

"Looks like it," Arthur said, pushing his glasses up. "Any mechanisms?"

Kuroka stepped forward, tracing a glyph on the wall with her claw-tipped finger using senjutsu to locate any mechanism of sorts.

"Seals… of course. It's to keep people out. But they're dormant. We'd need to reactivate or bypass them."

Everybody fell silent again. It was tedious. They knew they would be here for extra hours.

And perhaps—just perhaps—if they didn't find any answers, then, they might go ham.

However—

"Ka-ka-ka…"

Bikou cackled, spinning his staff.

"Bypass it is then!"

Before anyone could stop him, he leapt forward, Ruyi Jingu Bang expanding in his grip—and smashed it against the stone with a thunderous crash.

The gate shattered, chunks of rock flying. Then… the whole mausoleum shuddered.

"You foolish monkey! What the hell did you do, nyaa?!"

Kuroka yelled, ears twitching violently as dust rained down.

Arthur sighed, deadpan. "Brilliant. Truly brilliant."

"W-What?! You guys were taking too long!" Bikou protested, scratching his head nervously. "A-And it looked strong! I thought it'd hold!"

"You absolute buffoon monkey," Kuroka hissed, tail bristling.

"Hey, hey! I'm a monkey, not a buffoon!"

"It doesn't matter, nyaa!"

While they bickered, Vali didn't waste time.

Through the shattered doorway lay a raised pedestal—on it rested two items.

It had an odd shape of a sickle and a stick with horsetail. That was what they were looking for.

Some gods like that had interest in things like this.

Vali's wings burst forth, silver-white energy engulfing his body as the armor of his Balance Breaker enveloped him with a howling roar.

Divine Dividing: Scale Mail.

"Got it," he declared simply, wings flaring wide.

In a blink, he shot forward, scooped the relics into his arms, and pivoted mid-air.

"Oi! Vali!"

Bikou shouted.

But Vali was already gone, streaking through the corridor, the Crook and Flail in hand.

The air warped around him as he soared through crumbling halls.

His voice echoed faintly behind him. "Catch up or don't. I'm not slowing down."

Vali was their leader, not their babysitter. He at least expects them to pull their own weight.

And so, the others quickly gave chase, the labyrinth rumbling as the fail-safes triggered.

Vali burst out of the mausoleum, debris exploding behind him in a storm of dust and sandstone.

The night air hit him like a wave. He hovered, catching his breath—then froze.

A child-like figure hovered in the sky ahead.

Blonde hair flowed gently in the night breeze. Draconic wings spread out wide. Her armor shimmered under the moonlight.

She was hanging in the sky above the mausoleum.

"Who…?"

The moment he said that…

A word of warning came from the White Dragon Emperor.

However, it was too late.

The blonde-haired girl was already in front of him, his mouth opened wide as something came out.

Next was the impact that spread across his body.

But that was not all—his armor around his stomach cracked.

Her cute little fist did all that.

'W-What the—'

"Vali!" "Vali!"

The rest who had just come out of the collapsing mausoleum saw what was happening and immediately got into stance.

Bikou had already even launched a sneak attack on Mittlet.

He was on the nimbus cloud, his staff held overhead, to meet her with a hit. His staff, however, fell—but it was stopped.

The impact was obviously there, but there was no satisfaction with that hit.

If anything, it felt like it was blocked by an extremely sturdy wall; after all, he felt the impact rattle his hands.

But lo, what actually happened was that the blonde-haired girl had caught the staff without even looking back.

"Huh?"

Bikou's eyes widened.

Then, before he could even comprehend what he was seeing—

His entire world shifted to the right, curving in a C shape. The world seemed to twist in his eyes.

However, that was just him being kicked by Mittlet.

Mittlet had undergone an insane transformation. Her appearance had mostly changed.

Now she looked more closer to a certain Destroyer Demon Lord.

She still retained her blonde hair, but her features were sharper and more defined now.

If there was anything she'd be missing, it was the horns. But the similarities could be greatly seen.

"Let us have some fun, dragon boy."

She tilted her head slightly up, her fangs peering from it, and her eyes shining even deeper blue.

"Kuh. Ha…. Hahaha…."

Vali, however, didn't despair. No—the pain—he soon began to relish in it. Yes. This is a fight.

This is exactly what he wants! A strong opponent to fight!

"Albion! Let's go!"

Albion seemed to want to advise Vali, but he didn't listen… To sync with his movements, Arthur had appeared in front of Mittlet.

"You'll be dealing with me…."

"—Nani?"

He said that in a cool way, which only made the girl scoff. Then, with a wave, she blew him away.

Just a simple wave conjured up enough wind to blast him away.

"Gah!"

Kuroka, on the other hand, couldn't take action. There was a reason why.

She, who was close to nature and could at the very least sense people's life force—

The girl up there had none. At the same time, she gave off a draconic scent.

It wasn't the same scent as Vali due to possessing a draconic Sacred Gear.

A full-blown dragon. At least, half dragon.

"Got you!"

Vali smirked under his helmet as he touched the back of the distracted Mittlet when she'd swung Arthur away.

"Albion! Now!"

Albion released his ability—the ability of supremacy—to rob one of one's own strength to add to their own.

In addition, the light wings at the back would filter out the energy if it was too much.

That way, they could maintain a constant peak.

At the very least, that was what it was supposed to be.

"What, her powers didn't divide?"

He didn't feel any feedback or signs he'd robbed her of her strength.

CRACK—!

Once again, the warning came a tad bit late, and he'd been punched once more.

This time, the entire armor cracked, sending him crashing below, with Kuroka helplessly running toward him.

"Supremacy… it does seem to indeed be different."

"Dragon Dress Armor. Although inferior to my lord's, it was thanks to him I was able to get the inspiration to create this."

Although it required a dragon, hunting one was no problem.

"Now, I'm half null, half dragon. Yes. A fitting name should be given: Dragonic Void Angel."

Mittlet paused. That didn't sound right. She thought, tilting her head.

Eventually, "....Hmm, doesn't sound as good as I want, but yes… I haven't forgotten why I came here."

After muttering that to herself, her eyes then fell on Vali below.

"Albion. Why the hell did Divide not work on her?"

He'd been expecting a good fight. But what good is a fight when your opponent can do this much damage to him in one hit?

Such an existence, where had they been till now…

At the very least, if they were evidence of this person being present in this world, Khaos Brigade would undoubtedly know them.

This was a different territory and game.

A game only people at the Dragon God level could play.

"Give it up, worms. The me before you is beyond multiplications and divisions. Your measly ability to divide someone's power is nothing but a trifle. It won't work."

She slowly descended while saying that, her feet barely touching the ground.

<…So, what is your goal then… I find it hard to believe that someone of your power is here to crush a few triflings>

"You're smart. Yes. I'll give you that. I come bearing tidings. Good tidings."

Mittlet smiled. And at the same time, far away from Egypt—at a cathedral branch in Europe.

Seated on a chair was a voluptuous woman with dark blue hair. The woman sat inside this cathedral in her usual suit.

Despite the sermon going on, this woman simply sat there, unmoving.

However, what was odd was that, as different as she was in this place, nobody seemed to notice her.

Her existence was like mist. Slowly, she opened her eyes, looking far east.

'That signature is…'

Her colleague was going ham.

For beings like them, they don't rely on energies and backwater systems like that.

But she had other matters to attend to.

'Excalibur…'
