The air inside the Crimson Veil realm was thick—heavy with silence, memories, and hidden truths. As Kai Hitari and Herin Rai stepped further into the shadowed plains, it felt as if the very land was watching them. The wind whispered, not with nature's breath, but with voices. Ancient, distant… haunting.
Herin clutched her cloak tightly. "Did you hear that?" she asked.
Kai stopped. His hand went instinctively to his sword—the legacy of his father and grandfather. "Yes. We're not alone here."
From behind twisted trees that looked more like bones than bark, shadows moved—not creatures, but memories. Echoes of battles fought, warriors fallen, and oaths broken.
Suddenly, a path lit up in crimson glow beneath their feet. As they walked, each step triggered glowing symbols, ones neither could understand—but Kai felt them. Felt them in his blood.

Flashback Whispered
A voice… old, deep, like time itself.
"The one who bears the sword must walk through the judgment of his blood… The veil does not forget."
Kai paused. His sword vibrated faintly in his hand.
Herin asked gently, "Are you alright?"
He nodded but said nothing. Because something—or someone—was calling him deeper in. And it was not kind.

In the Depths
As they reached a circular ruin, half-sunken into the red sand, a figure appeared. Cloaked in black and silver, face hidden behind a horned mask.
"You've come, heir of fire and steel," the figure rasped.
Kai stepped forward. "Who are you?"
"I am the keeper of sins… the one your grandfather betrayed."
Herin's breath caught.
Kai narrowed his eyes. "My grandfather was a hero."
The figure tilted its head. "To you, yes. But this realm remembers the truth. The sword you carry was forged from betrayal. To wield it, you must face that truth."
Before Kai could react, the ground cracked. A portal opened beneath them.
---
Trial of Blood
They fell—into a mirrored world. One where everything looked familiar, yet twisted. And before Kai stood… his father.
But something was wrong.
"Father?" he asked.
The man smiled, but his eyes were hollow. "I died because of that sword. Because of the path I chose… the path you're walking now."
Herin tried to pull Kai back. "It's an illusion! Don't listen!"
But Kai was frozen. His father walked forward, holding the same sword, but its blade was black.
"You will fail, Kai. Like I did. You will watch those you love die… again."
Then, Herin screamed.
Kai turned—and saw Herin surrounded by dark versions of herself, each whispering lies.
"You can't trust her."
"She wants your power."
"She writes your pain into stories."
Kai shouted, slicing the darkness apart with a surge of light from his blade. "ENOUGH!"
The illusion shattered.

Return to the Realm
They collapsed on the crimson ground, gasping. The cloaked figure was gone—but his words remained.
Kai's grip on his sword tightened. "We're not just fighting monsters out there. We're fighting our past."
Herin looked at him, eyes shining. "Then let's face it—together."
But before they could rise, the ground trembled.
A monstrous roar echoed through the Veil.
Then a voice—louder than thunder—shook the skies.
"The Tyrant awakens."
From beyond the mountains, a colossal shadow rose—horned, burning, and ancient. The Crimson Tyrant, the creature responsible for the death of Kai's father, now knew he had arrived.
---
Rekha's voice echoed from a crystal she left behind with them.
"Kai… Herin… I found something. The Tyrant… is not what we thought. It—"
The message cut off.
Kai stood slowly, eyes glowing faintly red, as the power of the sword stirred.
"This ends with me," he said.
Herin placed her hand on his. "Not just you. Us."
And as the Crimson Tyrant let out another earth-shattering roar, a second figure appeared atop the cliffs—cloaked in flame, carrying a blade just like Kai's.
He looked down at Kai…
And smiled.
"Kai Hitari… brother… you've finally come."
