Chapter 160 - Chapter 160: Call Me Uncle

"Finally, we're almost there."

Kawaki walked at the front of the group and could already faintly see the gates of Konoha Village.

Tsunade retracted her wings above him and landed beside him.

"Teacher and the others are here."

"Yeah."

Kawaki responded softly. It would be strange if Hiruzen Sarutobi didn't come.

Sakumo and Dai both said, "I just want to go home."

Sakumo and Dai seemed to have a telepathic connection, and their thoughts were surprisingly in sync.

"Just come up with an excuse. It's no big deal."

Kawaki said nonchalantly. What Hiruzen Sarutobi was doing was just for show and more likely to impress the villagers.

"Keep your voice down."

Tsunade gave him a glare. It wasn't that she thought he was disrespectful to the teacher; after all, there were many people around.

"Stop talking. We're almost there."

Kawaki raised an eyebrow, and Tsunade immediately understood what he meant.

This guy is so unserious!!

Not long after, everyone arrived at the entrance of Konoha Village. The gates were wide open, and there was a banner hanging on it.

"Welcome home, heroes who fought on the front line!"

Hiruzen Sarutobi really knows how to come up with new tricks. He didn't do this last time.

Tsunade walked in first, and Kawaki followed closely behind.

As soon as they entered, they saw Hiruzen Sarutobi standing not far away with a warm smile. There were villagers who had come voluntarily on both sides of the entrance.

"Welcome home~"

Everyone was surrounded by the sound waves, and flowers were falling from the sky.

This was the treatment they deserved. Some ninjas had already seen their relatives in the welcoming crowd.

Having survived the sea of corpses and blood, they were in tears at this moment. There were relatives hugging each other everywhere.

"Teacher, teacher's wife, we're leaving first."

Minato followed them furtively, greeted Kawaki, and was about to leave with Nawaki.

Where else could they be going?

"So eager?"

Kawaki looked at the two young ones with a playful smile.

"It's not that we're eager. It's mainly that Brother Nawaki misses his grandma."

Minato told the lie without batting an eye, and Nawaki nodded frantically beside him.

"You're so spineless. Go ahead."

Tsunade let them go. How could she not see through their little thoughts?

"Goodbye."

The two young ones took off and disappeared around the corner in a flash.

Kawaki and the others continued to move forward, and Hiruzen Sarutobi also took action.

He walked forward slowly and stopped in front of Tsunade.

"Teacher."

Tsunade greeted the Third nonchalantly, unavoidably harboring some resentment in her heart.

Other Kages can go to battle, but is he so precious that he can't?

"You did a good job this time."

Hiruzen Sarutobi still had a smile on his face, thinking that Tsunade was just in a bad mood.

"It was just a Pyrrhic victory."

Tsunade gave a bitter smile. She knew better than Hiruzen Sarutobi how many people had died, and she had seen it more clearly on the front line.

In her eyes, it was the loss of living lives, while in Hiruzen Sarutobi's eyes, it might just be a cold number.

"It's all for the village..."

Before Hiruzen Sarutobi could finish his sentence, a black mastiff rushed over and interrupted his words.

It was just that none of them wanted to listen to Hiruzen Sarutobi's long - winded talk, so the black mastiff's interruption saved the day.

The Ghost Mastiff pounced towards Kawaki. It didn't care about who was a Kage or not.

"Yo, it's you, you stupid dog!"

Kawaki stepped forward with a smile and caught the Ghost Mastiff's two front paws. The dog licked his hand.

"Damn, you're so disgusting!"

Kawaki quickly threw the Ghost Mastiff away. Natsuki was slowly walking over, carrying Kakashi in her arms.

"Arf~"

The Ghost Mastiff let out a few aggrieved barks. This heartless guy had forgotten the times when they slept together.

Sakumo wore an extremely bright smile on his face. Without even having the time to greet Hiruzen Sarutobi, he shuffled over.

"I'm back."

Sakumo walked up to Natsuki, opened his arms, and embraced his wife and child.

Right after that, Dai's wife and Shinryu Yūhi came over, each carrying a child.

In an instant, only Kawaki and Tsunade were left in front of Hiruzen Sarutobi. The Ghost Mastiff was sticking to Kawaki like a nuisance.

It was still rubbing frantically against Kawaki's trouser legs to express its longing.

"Um, The Third Lord, we'll head back first."

Kawaki bent down and ruffled vigorously the Ghost Mastiff's head a few times before saying goodbye to Hiruzen Sarutobi.

Other than hoping for him to step down, Kawaki couldn't think of anything to talk to him about.

"Hehe, go ahead."

Hiruzen Sarutobi was sensible enough to let them go. Only after watching Tsunade and Kawaki walk away did his face turn gloomy.

"Go home and hug as much as you want."

Kawaki, being quite tactless, stood behind Sakumo and patted his shoulder.

"Let's go home."

"Three kids are waiting for you at home."

Natsuki remembered Kawaki's instructions well. The Three Young Ones of Nagato hardly ever left the Hatake family's house.

Only then did Sakumo reluctantly let go of his wife and child. He then turned around and glared at Kawaki irritably.

Little brat, are you blind? Can't you see I'm having a sweet moment with my wife?

"Let's go."

Only then did Tsunade burst into laughter, feeling the warmth of home.

The five of them and the dog slowly walked towards home. Tsunade seemed to forget her family after getting married and didn't even mention going back to see Mito first.

"Sister - in - law, let me hold him."

Kawaki reached out his hand and took Kakashi from Natsuki.

"I haven't even held him yet!"

Sakumo's anger level rose sharply. Can't you have your own kids if you want to hold one?

"Look at whether he wants you or not."

Kawaki rolled his eyes and held Kakashi in his arms.

Now Kakashi had grown a lot, and his facial features had fully developed.

He seemed to take after Kawaki more and was much handsomer than Sakumo.

"Can Kakashi talk now?"

Kawaki asked while walking with Kakashi in his arms. Sakumo's eyes were full of envy.

"Right now he can only call for mom."

Natsuki's face was full of maternal radiance.

"Say uncle, say uncle."

Kawaki reached out and pinched Kakashi's little face.

"Say dad, say dad."

Sakumo couldn't stand it anymore. Whose kid calls for mom and uncle first?

"Unc...cle."

Kakashi stammered out these two words. Kawaki looked extremely smug on his face.

"Haha, did you hear that? He can call for uncle!"

"Let me hold him."

Sakumo grabbed Kakashi out of Kawaki's arms in a fit of anger.

Maybe his movements were too abrupt, and Kakashi was startled. Seeing Sakumo's stiff smile, he burst into tears all of a sudden.

"Waaah~"

"Be gentle."

Hearing Kakashi cry, Natsuki walked over and patted Sakumo twice, then took Kakashi back into her arms.

It had only been in his hands for less than ten seconds. Looking at Kakashi who had stopped crying, Sakumo felt rather helpless.

"He'll call me 'dad' sooner or later. Don't take it too much to heart."

Tsunade underestimated the childish sense of competition between the two brothers.

"I'm definitely going to make him call me 'dad' within three days."

Sakumo looked at Kawaki and said firmly,

"So what? He can already call me 'uncle'."

Kawaki simply ignored Sakumo. He had already won, okay?

"Just you wait."

Sakumo gritted his teeth and squeezed out a few words. Just wait till Kawaki has a child...

"Pfft, so childish."

It's really hard to understand where Kawaki got the nerve to say that.

Tsunade and Natsuki glanced back and forth between the two of them, then burst out laughing at the same time.
