Chapter 43 - Chapter 43: The Celebration

Haruki later met Hyuga Kaoru, the girlfriend of Hiashi Hyuga.

Previously, he had worried that due to his butterfly effect, Hinata Hyuga might cease to exist.

But upon seeing Hyuga Kaoru's familiar face, he was almost certain that she was Hinata's mother, who was unnamed in the original story.

"Lord Haruki," Hiashi Hyuga greeted respectfully as he accompanied his girlfriend over.

Compared to some time ago, the bitter look on his face was gone, replaced by a faint smile. His eyes sparkled with hope for the future, and he was a positive and upbeat person.

This change came about after the Cage Bird jutsu crisis.

After Hiashi Hyuga's life was free from restrictions, he reconciled with his younger brother, Hizashi Hyuga, and made a lot of friends of the same age.

Now they were making progress and competing with each other.

In the past, it was difficult for the branch family to be friends with the main family. Their relationship had always been rather distant.

In short, Hiashi Hyuga was very grateful to Haruki.

Haruki could naturally tell his state and couldn't help but sigh about the influence of the environment on a person.

In his previous life, the so - called 'dormitory of top students' often had a similar reason.

He quipped, 'Having a girlfriend sure does make a difference!'

Hiashi Hyuga scratched his head.

To be honest, he often dreamt of Haruki holding a Kunai and saying 'Kill him' to him, then waking up in a cold sweat.

But the Haruki in front of him was completely different.

Meanwhile, Hyuga Kaoru shyly lowered her head, her face turning slightly red, like a green apple.

She looked exactly like Hinata.

In his previous life, when Haruki watched the anime, he really liked the introverted but strong - willed Hinata.

"Go straight ahead and keep your word, because that is my [Ninja Way]."

In the ups and downs of life, it was so rare to stay true to oneself.

"I'm sure the Hyuga clan head has mentioned what this is about," Haruki said as he took out a card from the [Storage Scroll] and handed it to Hyuga Kaoru.

"The host's job isn't difficult. It mainly involves controlling the scene and announcing the programs. Your looks and temperament are quite suitable. You just need to practice your tone."

Hyuga Kaoru was born into a wealthy family and naturally exuded an air of intellectual elegance.

When it came to hosts, the first person Haruki thought of was Dong Qing.

"First, listen to me read an opening speech and carefully imitate the tone," Haruki said. He cleared his throat and, to the two's stunned expressions, a warm and elegant female voice emerged.

"Falsetto. You can achieve it by using Chakra to change your vocal cords," Haruki explained. He had a thick skin and didn't think there was anything wrong with it.

"Kaoru, you give it a try."

"Okay."

Hyuga Kaoru took a deep breath to calm herself down and then imitated Haruki's tone. It started well, but towards the end, her voice trembled due to nervousness.

"Having this result on the first try shows excellent talent," Haruki noticed her uneasiness and encouraged her. "Keep the state you just had and do it one more time. Just pretend we don't exist."

In his previous life, he understood that for introverted or nervous people, scolding would have the opposite effect.

Hyuga Kaoru nodded firmly.

This time, the result was almost perfect.

Hiashi Hyuga beside her also let out a sigh of relief.

Although it was just a small matter, they all tried their best to live up to Haruki's emphasis.

"There are seven programs at the party, so you'll need to give seven segments of hosting scripts. The date hasn't been set yet, so you can practice in your free time. After you're familiar with it, try to read it smoothly in front of an audience."

Some people are very talkative in daily life, yet they become extremely nervous on stage or at the podium.

This results from their innate personalities and needs more practice to improve.

"Okay." Hyuga Kaoru replied obediently.

"One more thing." Haruki seemed to remember something and said, "The host has special clothing. I'll send someone over later. Then, Kaoru, you can tell her your size to avoid it being ill - fitting."

The traditional clothes of the Hyuga clan are rather thick and old - fashioned, which are not suitable for the party.

Haruki envisioned the host's clothing to be a cheongsam or an evening dress.

It should be both beautiful and elegant, combining grace with sensuality.

The only thing he didn't know was whether Hyuga Kaoru would accept it.

After Haruki left the Hyuga clan's mansion, he went to the Hokage Building.

He originally only intended to talk to Hyuga Kazushi about the Tenseigan and persuade him about providing manpower for Orochimaru.

But since he was already there, he also told him about the party plan that hadn't been approved by Hiruzen Sarutobi.

Changing the comic convention to a party was a sudden idea of Haruki's.

He thought that a comic convention was too novel and might not be accepted by Hiruzen Sarutobi, but there were precedents for parties, such as celebrations.

Although their contents were vastly different.

"Lord Haruki, please come in."

"Thank you."

After Haruki said this to the Anbu Ninja, he pushed the door and entered Hiruzen Sarutobi's office.

As usual, he was wearing the Hokage's ceremonial robe, biting on his pipe, looking very serious.

No one knew what he had been looking at in the crystal ball the moment before.

"Lord Hokage."

"Haruki, did you come to see me today to take another photo?"

Hiruzen Sarutobi recalled the "Konoha Daily". The ordinary photo last time had caused a huge sensation.

In a way, this guy was extremely bold and had deceived him.

But... cough, cough, that charming poster and the subsequent character illustrations of Sword Art Online really appealed to him.

"No, but it's kind of related."

Haruki had a strange look on his face. What the hell, taking photos again?

"Lord Hokage, I want to hold a celebration to commemorate the victory over Sunagakure under your leadership."

"Oh!" Hiruzen Sarutobi subconsciously puffed out a ring of smoke: "Isn't it too soon? We've just won. We shouldn't waste money on this."

His words implied refusal.

"The expenses for this celebration will be covered by the New Konoha Bookstore, which I call a sponsorship fee." Haruki smiled slightly.

"What's a sponsorship fee?" Hiruzen Sarutobi asked.

"It's another form of advertising. Holding a celebration will surely attract a large number of people. The New Konoha Bookstore will cover the costs, but in return, the bookstore should be heavily promoted during the celebration to increase its popularity." Haruki gave some more examples.

After hearing this, Hiruzen Sarutobi couldn't help showing a look of surprise.

He had never heard of this kind of sponsorship fee, but upon careful consideration, it seemed unexpectedly reliable.

The principle was the same.

But then he thought of Haruki's recent actions and admonished him, "These are just trivial matters after all, Haruki. You should focus on Medical Ninjutsu."

"I'll remember what the Hokage-sama taught me."

After Haruki bowed slightly, his face became extremely solemn.

"With everyone's support, the New Konoha Bookstore has made some progress. I came up with the idea of a celebration for two reasons. First, I want to repay everyone's love. Second, I hope to help everyone get out of the shadow of the war."

Hiruzen Sarutobi was immediately moved.

His love for the village was no less than mine!

"I wrongly blamed you. You can handle this celebration. If anyone tries to stop you, come and report to me."

"Sure!"

Haruki achieved his goal, and he and Hiruzen Sarutobi both smiled at the same time.

For a moment, the atmosphere in the office was very harmonious.

Anyone who saw it would say that the Hokage-sama cared about his subordinates.
