"So,how was the entrance exam? I hope you passed. What's your rank? Tell me everything that happened today."
Xiang Yin Xue was sure she was excited to hear his story so they went to the sitting room and talked over tea.
"I met a girl named Cecile. She had a similar back story as you so I was thinking if you knew her or something."
When Mei heard the name,she became sad.
"Cecile is...my twins sister. When we were in the orphanage she got adopted for being stronger and although we didn't have a choice,we never wanted to leave each other,not after our parents did. But I guess you don't get to decide the kind and of live you want and who you want it with."
None again,tears flowed down her eyes.
"I'm sorry for reminding you of your pain in the past. I really didn't mean to."
Xiang Yin Xue was also crying but he didn't know why.
Mei went to sit next to him and put his head on her lap,caressing his hair. She didn't really understand why he was crying but also felt sorry for him as he felt for her.
After a while,he stopped crying and stood up.
"I have a gift for you. Close your eyes and no peaking."
Mei closed her eyes,a little curious about what the gift will be.
Xiang Yin Xue brought out the diamond ring from his bag and knelt down, wearing it on her finger and feeling good of himself.
"You can open your eyes now."
Mei opened her eyes to see the shining diamond ring on her finger.
"Thank you,but .....what is it for?"
She was a little bit confused of why he was giving her a ring.
"Ever since this morning i saw you, I've been any happier. This is to celebrate our first day of meeting each other. And besides,I wear one, you wear the other."
Xiang Yin Xue showed her the matching ring on his finger.
"Thank you so very much."
Mei began to feel emotional again.
"No one has ever treated me like this before. I'm always casted away because of I'm weak,but I'm just glad you're different."
She stood and hugged him tightly,wanting to spend the rest of her life with him,the first person to make her happy I her entire life.
"I will always be there for you. No worries."
