Chapter 5 - Incredible Skills

Chapter 5: Incredible Skills

It was an ordinary box—nothing about it stood out from the rest. Its appearance was dull, lacking any features that could attract attention, just like the other boxes scattered around me.

I held it in my hands and began to turn it over, examining it carefully. Suddenly, I spotted some writing on the bottom side.

It was a familiar script… Arabic! Yes, the Arabic language. You might think I'm Arab, but let me disappoint you: I'm not. I only studied Arabic at university... Anyway, that's not the point right now.

The writing went like this:

> [Coordinates: Blue Planet

Continent: Asia

City: Seoul

Gate: 01

District: Residential Area

ID: 0000001]

I laughed at first. It looked like a shipping label or a package address. But something made me shift back into seriousness.

I turned the box to its opening side, where there was a silver knot sealing it tightly. I took a deep breath, then pulled the string, filled with anticipation and excitement.

As soon as it opened, a brilliant golden light burst forth—warm and radiant, as if welcoming me as its new owner. I closed my eyes from the intensity of the glow, and then I heard a familiar voice echo in my ears:

[Ding! You have acquired: "The Third Eye"]

"…"

I slowly opened my eyes, looking for the source of the sound, only to be stunned by a translucent blue screen hovering in the air. Glowing golden words were etched on it:

[The Third Eye]

It was a skill I had always dreamed of possessing, something I had wished for from the depths of my heart ever since I woke up in this strange world. I never thought I'd actually obtain it. But now—it was mine.

I stared at the words for a few moments, then tapped them to view the full description. The screen immediately expanded, revealing the skill's details:

> [The Third Eye]

{Allows the user to perceive the states of surrounding entities.}

{The Third Eye is the "Observer of the World," enabling the user to spy on the traits, stats, abilities, or special talents of those nearby.}

"…"

This… was more like a video game than I ever imagined. Still, from a realistic perspective, this ability is incredibly useful. It might be the key to avoiding trouble before it begins.

A wild idea popped into my head: What if I used it on myself?

I tapped the screen again, and the following appeared:

> [Strength]: Wall Level

[Speed]: 30

[Agility]: 25

[Talents]: Language Learning

[Traits]: None

"…"

The evaluation was average, reflecting the status of a typical teenager. But one thing puzzled me: "Wall Level." What did that even mean? Was it the limit of my physical power? Could I smash through a wall with one punch? I had no idea... and there were no buildings nearby to test on.

I took a deep breath and decided to set that question aside for now.

Then, I turned to the rest of the boxes. If my assumption was right, each of these boxes held exciting skills… like "The Third Eye." Even though it wasn't an offensive skill, it was a powerful support ability.

I leapt toward the other boxes like a child who had found treasure, opening them one after another, hugging them like long-awaited dreams. Just like the first box, once I pulled the silver string, bursts of dazzling light exploded from within.

But this time, the colors were stranger: a mysterious purple glow, a blood-red shimmer that hinted at danger, a radiant white shine of purity, and a deep black that emitted an aura of despair and death.

I shivered. The scene was overwhelming, majestic—as if I were summoning powers not of this world.

Then, I heard that voice again:

[Ding! You have acquired: "Strength"]

[Ding! You have acquired: "Light-Speed"]

[Ding! You have acquired: "Healing"]

[Ding! You have acquired: "Summon Skeleton"]

I stood there speechless, staring at the screens in disbelief. Each skill carried with it a world of possibilities. I had opened the first four boxes, and with each one, my life changed.

I continued to stare at the colorful words in front of me, then tapped on one:

> [Strength] [Purple Skill]

When using the "Strength" skill, the user's physical damage is tripled.

The description was simple—any ten-year-old could understand it.

According to that explanation, my max destructive force could equal three solid concrete walls.

That might sound silly when you read it, but imagine taking a punch that hits like three concrete walls… your face would turn to mush instantly!

I shook off the image and looked at the rest of the colorful titles. I tapped them all at once.

Several windows popped up in front of me, each in a different color: red, white, and pitch black. Each window had a unique description:

> [Light-Speed] [Red Skill]

When activated, the user's speed doubles to 200% of their original speed.

> [Healing] [White Skill: Sacred Class]

When used, the user is covered in a sacred layer of golden light that heals all physical injuries.

> [Summon Skeleton] [Black Skill: Death Class]

When activated, the user summons a skeleton from the underworld.

Current Skeleton Level: 1

"…"

Whoa!

I was stunned for a moment by these incredible skills—especially since two of them were from special categories. But what shocked me the most was the black skill… the one under the Death category.

"Summon Skeleton"….

A skill I'd read about countless times in web novels ,where a necromancer summons hordes of skeletons of various shapes and powers.

This skill was exactly like those: starting at level one, letting you summon one or two skeletons, with the possibility of evolving later.
