Nora and Yoongi walked into the company. Heads turned, curious eyes settled on them. Yoongi was a familiar face to them but Nora, who was always stuck on the fifteenth floor was a brand new face except the security guards who got to see her at least once in a day.
Nora noticed the curious eyes and tried to distance herself from Yoongi till they reached the elevator.
"Yoongi Oppa!! " She heard a cute voice behind them which sounded like it was utterly forged. She turned around to see a beautiful red haired girl. She looked high-class and somewhat familiar.
"Hae in-ah what are you doing here? " Nora heard a little bit of displeasure in his voice, like he didn't want to deal with her.
The girl ran to his arms ignoring the stares, she hugged him "I missed you so much that i ran here immediately it was sunrise, you didn't even call me throughout my stay in California" she said pouting, fluttering her lashes like she could fly with it.
"I've been busy" Yoongi said with a flat tone. The elevator door opened and Yoongi walked in, Hae in followed him . Nora was torn between walking in with them and waiting for the next lift. Yoongi noticed she was standing still " What are you waiting for? We are going to be late"
Nora immediately walked in as he had used a flat tone. They had spent the previous day arguing over the pettiest things like whether European food was more healthy than Korean food, if Korean chopsticks was more adaptable than the European cutlery. Nora didn't want their relationship to go back to square one.
Hae in starred at Nora like she was insignificant, she turned to Yoongi holding his arms tightly like she was trying to mark him "Oppa, a call won't reduce your lifespan".
Hearing the statement, Nora knew they had known each other for long time. As she realized they had their own dialect bonding. She could tell that she purposely ignored her. She had seen how Hae in had held Yoongi's hand. She gnashed her teeth in anger. Why would she hold him like that. She could tell Hae in wasn't his girlfriend.
Wait. Why was she angry? She wasn't his girlfriend too but she felt liking shoving Hae in's hand off Yoongi. She tried hard to not eavesdrop but they were in a small space, there was nothing she could do.
"Have you reported to your company?" Nora was standing in front of them so she couldn't read Yoongi's expression but she could tell he sounded uninterested.
Hae in smiled happily and said like a baby"No, i rushed to see you first, the company can wait"
Nora was so irritated that she roughly scratched her ear. Why would she act so cringey? She could tell she was pouting and stomping her feet. Nora wished she hadn't entered the elevator with them. She lowered her head, face-palming herself.
"You should go to the company, I'm too busy to indulge you".
Hae in pouted "Oppaa, are you chasing me away?.
"Yes" Yoongi's voice was neither unhappy or angry.
Sensing his annoyance, Hae in finally gave up she knew her limits and that was one reason why Yoongi let her do what she wants. She was raised as a spoilt brat, she never listened to anyone but Yoongi was a different case. Ever since the first day she met him, she had loved him and wished to have him for herself but he always distanced himself from her. One year turned to two years till the fifth year, still nothing changed between them. They weren't friends more like a Predator and a Prey "Fine, promise me you will buy me dinner huh"
"If i have time" The elevator opened and Nora quickly walked out. Yoongi removed his hands from Hae in's embrace "You should go now" his voice indifferent as ever.
