Sunrise was Nora's favorite cause it was another day to leave her suffocating house for few hours. But during winter it was really cold in the morning. Jeffery, Nora's father has always been strict about the girls leaving the house, but Nora easily used her College entrance registration as a perfect excuse.
Walking down to the less bustling streets of Lillehammer, Norway while taking a sip of her iced green tea with her headphones were the best way to start her mornings. Walking with her head held high with a stoic face and her almond shaped eyes shining brightly.
"Good morning Mrs James" Nora greeted the old owner of the bakery with a little smile.
"A beautiful morning it is Nora, hope you slept well my dear" Mrs James asked with a bright smile on her face.
"Yes Mrs James i hope you did too" Nora said while caressing Mrs James wrinkled hands.
"Come my dear i have something for you, my grandchildren will be coming for a little vacation so i made them a special cake, i made a little extra for you, eat some and study well, i guess this might be the last time i will be seeing you for a little while" Mrs James said while handing her a gift box with some sweet goodies.
Just the sight of the box made Nora's stomach grumble as she had lost her appetite after yesterday's night work.
"I could make a beat with that sound" Nora didn't need to be told who had the voice, Alvin, Mrs James oldest grandchild. Alvin was an asshole but was a good grandson. He had left his siblings to stay with his old grandmother.
"Whatever Alvin, thank you Mrs James i will surely visit, i will miss you" Nora gave her a hug and walked past Alvin while purposely yawning at him.
Leaving the bakery, Nora walked to the Park's store hastily as she couldn't wait to have a taste of the goodies.
"Noraaaa why are you in a rush? "
"I'm so hungry Freya i could eat a whole Christmas goat" opening the door handle to the cool store, fully packed but had a table situated in the middle of the room, a writing board at the left corner and a not so cool air conditioner just above the board.
"What's that in the box? " asked Freya
"Mrs James special cake and some cookies".
Freya huffed "that old lady never gives me any freebies"
Nora rolled her eyes "Freya you said her hair is like a duster and laughed about it, if i was her i would get you a restricting order.
" It smells so good, guess what Nora "Freya asked her while giving her a mischievous look. " What's that don't waste my time "
" You always spoil the fun tadaa" Freya screamed as she brought out a bottle of fruit juice "the best drink for washing down your cookiess"
"Perfect" Nora said while munching on a cookies.
"The sexiest has arrived!!.. Wow you both are having a food fest without me" Alva said picking a cookie and throwing it straight into her mouth. "No one said you should always be a latecomer" Nora said with a mouth filled with cookies.
"Just because you came early today doesn't mean i always came late" Alva said
"Remind me the last time you were here early hmm" Nora looked up to Alva
"Last week monday or maybe last two weeks friday" Nora raised her eyebrows to her reply "you can't even recall just forget it"
"No i can" Alva argued
" Can you guys not do this today always arguing i can't have a single peace with the both of you together... Our College registration is in a week, we also have to pack in that week, we have alot to plan girls come on" said Freya
"Okay ma'am" Nora said in a mimicked voice.
