The next day, after spending many days in Konoha village, Gojo couldn't help but feel the weight of time.
He knew his stay in the village was coming to an end.
He would soon leave with his grandfather for the Fire Nation.
But for now, Gojo wanted to savor the moments. He decided to enjoy the time he had left with his grandfather.
"Grandpa, how about we go watch a movie?" Gojo asked with a wide smile.
His grandfather chuckled, a small smile tugging at his lips. "A movie? Well, I suppose we can try it."
Gojo eagerly led his grandfather to the theater, though he knew the movies here wouldn't compare to the high-budget ones he had seen in his past life.
Still, he found something charming about them.
There was simplicity in it, and he couldn't help but enjoy the storytelling.
Afterward, Gojo couldn't stop talking about the movie, comparing it to the films he had seen before.
His grandfather listened patiently, occasionally nodding, though clearly not understanding everything Gojo was talking about.
It was a lighthearted moment for the two.
As they walked down the street, Gojo felt a gaze on him.
He turned his head, noticing a raven-haired woman with pitch-black eyes staring at him.
Her gaze was intense, almost too intense.
Before Gojo could react, his grandfather stepped forward, standing between him and the woman.
His tone was stern as he called out, "Mikoto, stay away from my grandson!"
Gojo blinked, caught off guard. His grandfather's anger seemed almost out of place.
And then it clicked—this woman was Mikoto Uchiha, the mother of Sasuke and Itachi.
Gojo's eyes widened in recognition.
Mikoto looked at Gojo, her gaze softening. It was as if she saw something in him that reminded her of her own sister.
She sighed deeply, then turned to Gojo's grandfather.
"Please, let me speak with him. I've not seen my sister's son in so long," Mikoto pleaded.
Gojo's grandfather hesitated. He was clearly reluctant to let Mikoto get close to Gojo, but after a long pause, he sighed.
"Fine. But only because Gojo seems to want it," he muttered.
Mikoto's face lit up with joy as she finally stepped forward and held out her hand to Gojo. She wanted to take him to her home.
Gojo looked at his grandfather, who gave him a slight nod. He was allowing it, though reluctantly.
"Come, Gojo," Mikoto said softly. "I want you to come to my house. You're my sister's son, after all."
Gojo hesitated for a moment, then agreed. He took Mikoto's hand, and they began walking through the village.
As they entered the Uchiha compound, Gojo noticed the curious stares of the Uchiha clan members.
He didn't mind. He had grown used to being the center of attention with his striking silver hair.
Mikoto laughed softly, "Everyone's watching you, Gojo."
Gojo shrugged, unfazed. "I'm used to it," he replied with a grin.
They made their way to Mikoto's house, and Gojo looked inside curiously. It was quiet, but there was warmth to the place.
Mikoto led him to a spot near the couch. "Sit here, Gojo," she said, gesturing gently.
Gojo obeyed, taking a seat. "It's a nice place," he commented, looking around.
Mikoto smiled as she sat beside him. "It's good to have family around. I've missed my sister's family."
The door opened, and a tall man walked in. His features were sharp, and there was an air of authority around him.
This was Fugaku Uchiha, Mikoto's husband, and Sasuke's father.
Gojo's eyes met Fugaku's, and he saw the slight narrowing of the older man's eyes.
Fugaku's gaze was calculating, almost as if he was trying to place Gojo in his mind.
Sasuke followed closely behind his father. He didn't look at Gojo with the same curiosity Mikoto had shown.
Instead, there was a subtle frown on his face, and he seemed a bit displeased to see his mother giving attention to Gojo.
Gojo couldn't help but notice the slight tension in the air.
Sasuke, young as he was, couldn't seem to hide the flicker of jealousy that passed through his eyes.
Gojo flashed Sasuke a playful grin. "What's up, boy?" he asked, though his tone was light, almost teasing.
Sasuke only stared at Gojo, his expression unreadable.
He didn't say anything, but Gojo could sense the discomfort radiating from him.
Mikoto looked between her husband, son, and Gojo. She could feel the weight of the tension but chose to ignore it for now.
"You're both very different," Gojo commented with a smirk. "I can't imagine how you guys get along."
Mikoto chuckled softly, clearly relieved by Gojo's casual nature. "It's been... complicated," she said.
Fugaku remained silent, still watching Gojo closely. There was something in his gaze—something calculating and wary.
Gojo could tell he wasn't entirely convinced by his presence.
Gojo, for his part, wasn't fazed. He was used to scrutiny, especially from powerful figures.
As Mikoto spoke with her family, Gojo glanced around the room.
He wondered how much of an impact he would have on this family.
The Uchiha clan had their own complicated history, and Gojo knew that getting too involved could stir up trouble.
But at the same time, he was drawn to them. There was something about the Uchiha family's dynamic that intrigued him.
And Gojo always found himself in the center of things, whether he liked it or not.
