I love Natalie. She is the light of my life. Her beautiful emerald eyes make me feel like, I'm in a large green forest, with soft moss covering the rocks around me. She has beautiful dirty blond hair, with amethyst highlights. She has a laugh that warms me in winter, and cools me off in the summer. The way she does her hair makes me fall in love with her 10 times more.
If you didn't notice, I am deeply in love with Natalie
"Regina, heyyyyyyyy"
She's walking over, I gotta act cool.
"Hey Natalie, h-how are you? Are you ok? Did you get enough sleep?"
"Regina stop worrying, I'm fine. I have been fine for the past 3 months. "
"I was just worried"
"You have always been such a worrywart, Regina"
She chuckled. My heart felt like it was going to explode out of my chest as she chuckled. I love her.
You see, Natalie and I have been best friends since we were in third grade. To be honest, she was my bi awakening. But there is one slight issue, she doesn't know that I'm in love with her. She's also dating my brother, Anthony. But that doesn't mean I don't love her, I have and will always love her. She's the reason that I have stayed on this messed up planet. She is my life source but I know that one day that, my love for her will be my down fall
The reason I was so worried about Natalie is because, Anthony was drafted to war a couple months ago, and in this world, you don't have a choice on whether or not you want to go to war. It just depends on how strong you are. Natalie didn't take it too well when she found out Anthony was getting drafted. Her mental health took a full on nose dive. I know that one of these days, I'm going to get drafted,so I have been training for years. Both my physical strength and my powers. I don't want to go to war but I have no choice but I know what I will be fighting for.
"I'm so bored"
"We can go to the carnival."
"We need tickets to go to the carnival, Regina."
"I know"
"Good. That means you know that we can't go the carnival"
"Come on Natalie, let's go."
"Go where Reggie?"
I'm just gonna stay silent and grab her hand
"Regina Jasmine Camilla Clark, where are we going. I demand an answer"
"Natalie Diane Maria Harris, do you not trust your best friend"
"Not when they're being suspicious"

Aw she's suspicious of me. That means my surprise is working.
"It's a secret"

"Ugh! Whatever but are you done pulling me?"

"A blindfold and ear plugs?"

"I swear if you're kidnapping me-"

My plan is working perfectly.
You see Natalie's family has always had a bit of a money problem and since her and me became friends, my decided parents helped where ever they could. Let it be groceries, bills, school fees, etc.
Oh! We're here. Great. Time to take out the earplugs
"Ok. Take the blindfold off"
"Wherever you've taken us it's lou- THE CARNIVAL?!"
"Yep"
"We don't have tickets Reggie"
"Or do we?"
"No way. No way! You have tickets?! When did you do that?"
"I have my ways. Now come on!"

Natalie always loved the carnival. But because of her family's money issues, she was never really able to go.
"OMG! Look Reggie, it's a thing!"
"Do you want that thing?"
"Yesss! I don't really know what that thing is, but I want that thing!"
"That's fine by me love"
"I'll pay you back as soon as possible "
"You shall do no such thing"

Knowing her, she's still going to try and pay me back.
3hrs later
I'm carrying her on my back right now, she's so quiet
"Did you have fun Li?"
"..."
"Are you awake?"
"Yeah, I just..."
"What's on your mind?"
"Why?"
"Why?"
"You and your family have been nothing but kind to me, to my family... Even despite my situation. Why?"
"I don't know. I guess cause it's how we are. There isn't enough kind people in his messed up world."
