Amelia climbed off Xiandre's back, finally able to stand again despite the aching pain in her right leg.
"There are six doors left. Each one contains a demon representing a deadly sin," Xiandre read from the text.
"And the only way to climb back to the surface is to defeat all of them."
He continued, "Since you're reading this, you might actually have a chance. You've passed the Sloth floor. But remember—each floor is a hundred times harder than the last. Out of the infinite number who've fallen here, only three have ever made it out. So your chances of survival are... three out of infinity."
"It's like this message is trying to intimidate us," Xiandre muttered.
Suddenly, the door opened on its own, revealing a chamber overflowing with gold coins—each one shining with the promise of wealth and luxury of a lifetime.
Everything gleamed: the floor, the walls, even the ceiling—everything was made of solid gold.
"Looks like the others have already been through here. Let's hope we bump into them, here or on the next following floors," Xiandre said.
"Right," Amelia replied.
As they walked along the golden path, soft giggles echoed around them—followed by whispers, like invisible voices gossiping about their every move.
"Xiandre..." Amelia said quietly.
"I know. Just like before, we're not alone," Xiandre replied.
A sudden growl sounded behind them. Without hesitation, both jumped into the air as several golden arrows flew past, narrowly missing them.
"Looks like they finally revealed themselves," Xiandre said grimly.
"Yeah... these are the demons of Greed," Amelia added.
Ten naked, golden men emerged from the shadows, each wielding a golden crossbow. Without a second thought, they all fired.
"Configuration procedure... SYSTEM!" the two chanted in unison.
System windows appeared in front of them. Xiandre's solid window system absorbed the hits, cracking under the impact but holding. Amelia's hollow window system didn't fare as well—three arrows missed, but two found their mark: one pierced her left shoulder, the other struck her right thigh.
Amelia gasped, gritting her teeth against the pain, but remained on her feet.
Xiandre noticed immediately—but before he could move, another barrage of arrows flew toward them. He grabbed his window system and charged toward Amelia, using the barrier as a moving shield.
Amelia tried to dodge, but the pain slowed her down. Still, she pushed through, her determination stronger than the agony.
Just before Xiandre reached her, five golden swordsmen charged him.
He threw his window system at them, forcing them to scatter.
Then the floor began to quake violently.
Xiandre staggered. Amelia managed to stay upright, but a massive crack split the floor between them. The gap widened quickly, separating them.
Five of the archers remained with Amelia. The other five and the swordsmen were on Xiandre's side.
"AMELIA!" Xiandre shouted.
"X-Xiandre!" she called back.
A massive rock crashed down, sealing the gap and cutting off all sight and sound between them.
Xiandre punched the wall in frustration, but it was too thick to break.
"Fuck! She's gonna die if she doesn't push herself. She's wounded... too weak. The only way she'll survive is if she pushes beyond her limits!" he yelled.
Arrows struck him from behind, catching him off guard. Blood dripped down his back, but he remained standing.
He turned to the golden men and glared.
"You pieces of shit," Xiandre growled.
"Configuration procedure... SYSTEM!"
His window reappeared, blocking the next volley of arrows.
Xiandre raised his hand toward the approaching swordsmen and chanted, "Demons Bin! Kneel before me or death shall come!"
The atmosphere turned cold and blue. Time seemed to freeze. Then, with a sudden shift, everything returned to normal—and the five swordsmen collapsed, dead.
The archers continued firing.
Xiandre's system window cracked, then shattered.
But as it broke, time slowed again. Xiandre raised his hand at the archers and pointed downward.
A flash erupted—then all five archers were crushed to the ground by a powerful force, shattered into golden dust.
Xiandre panted heavily as a new, pristine system window appeared behind him.
[SYSTEM UPDATE]
(Level cannot be exceeded since your level is already Max)
"I don't get this. Max level? Is 1 really my max?" Xiandre muttered.
He checked his system window:
[System]
User: Xiandre
Element: Controller
Tier Level: 1
Stats:
Strength: 1 (Max)
Speed: 1 (Max)
Defense: 1 (Max)
(Current Level: 1)
"Though... right under my stats..." Xiandre thought.
The Omniscient – Control everything and anything.
Example chants:
[Devil Bin! Kneel before me]
[Demons Bin! Kneel before me or death shall come]
"Can I really control everything?" Xiandre mused.
"Control all reality!" he chanted.
[System]
(Sorry, you haven't reached your Final Limit Breaker yet. You still cannot control all reality at will. Reach Limit Breaker 10 to unlock full omniscience.)
"Limit Breaker, huh...? So I still can't control everything," Xiandre thought.
The room fell silent. The golden walls around him shimmered gently.
"But besides that... I need to regroup with everyone. And now... I have to do it alone," Xiandre said to himself.
Xiandre stood back up, brushing the dust off his body, and began traversing his way out of the Floor of Greed.
Meanwhile, back on the surface...
Xyrene, the class idol of Ka-agahan Academy, faced off against a Tsar Black Bear. She was with her usual team—her closest friends and classmates.
"Guys, let's kill this Tsar Bear together! They said it's a rare creature. I'm already level 16—this'll be easy if we all work as one," Xyrene shouted with confidence.
"That's right, girl! I'm level 10, so we got this," Blair added, one of the academy's top students and Xyrene's trusted friend.
"Let's slit this bear's throat, bring its head back to town—or maybe sell it! Or turn it into a magic stone just for you, Idol Xyrene!" Kate said, smirking.
"Hehe, let's do this!" Ashley and Christine chimed in with smug grins.
The bear let out a thunderous roar and charged at the group. They narrowly dodged its massive paws.
"Harsh Wind!!" Ashley and Christine chanted in unison.
A powerful gust dropped from the sky, forcing the bear to its knees, stunning it momentarily.
Kate aimed her hand at the bear's face. "Wind Smoke!"
A burst of thick smoke blasted into the bear's eyes, blinding it.
"Wind Spear!" Xyrene chanted, summoning a sharp spear of condensed wind in front of her.
Grabbing the spear, she charged forward and drove it straight through the bear's throat. The beast thrashed in pain, breaking free from the wind's pressure and lunged at Xyrene.
Quickly reacting, she pointed downwards with one hand. "Wind Impact!"
The ground erupted below her, launching her into the air and letting her narrowly evade the bear's strike.
While it was still focused on Xyrene, Kate leapt onto its back. "Wind Impact!" she shouted, slamming her palm onto its skull.
The bear's head was driven into the ground, forcing the spear even deeper into its throat. It roared in agony.
"HARSH WIND!" they all chanted together, unleashing a final barrage of wind pressure.
The bear was pinned, crushed by the intense gale, bleeding out and suffocating under the immense force. Slowly, it stopped moving.
"Heh, wasn't that too easy, everyone?" Xyrene said, brushing off her hands.
"Hell yeah!" the others replied in unison.
Elsewhere in the forest Alisa had just finished soloing three wrathful serpents, calmly slicing through their heads with precision.
As she finished, she heard footsteps approaching from behind. She sighed, turned around, and immediately summoned five floating holy swords, grabbing one herself and pointing it at the direction of the sound.
"Wait! I'm not here to cause any trouble!" a voice called out.
"You're a student. What's your name?" Alisa asked, snapping her fingers and making the holy swords vanish.
"I'm Louie. I just wanted to thank you for something," he said.
"And what's that?"
"When I saw you stand up for those Tier 1 students… You fought for them until the end. I just… I'm really grateful for that."
Alisa paused for a moment, then scoffed. "What's there to be thankful for? It's already been three days since they were sent to hell. They're probably dead. All because you students didn't give a damn about anyone's life after getting powers."
She turned away, continuing to look for more monsters.
Louie chuckled behind her. "You know what I'm thankful for?"
Alisa stopped, turning to face him—caught off guard by the strange shift in his tone.
"I'm thankful for the sympathy you had for those students… for my friends," Louie said softly.
A gust of wind blew through the area. When it passed—Louie was gone. Vanished into thin air.
"What was that...? He vanished?" Alisa whispered, stunned.
In an another side of the forest elsewhere Kaden—the student who had once pretended to be Xiandre's and enman's friend but betrayed them—throwed several Mini Titan Chickens into the sky using his wind ability.
From beside him, Albert a student from Class Great—fired lightning arrows that pierced the chickens, dropping them lifeless to the ground.
The two high-fived as the smoke settled.
Back in the Castle of Grimore...
Princess Millie sat elegantly on her balcony, sipping a cup of tea while overlooking the vast Forest of Sapat.
She giggled to herself as her maid poured more tea into her cup.
"Maya," Princess Millie called gently.
"Yes, Your Majesty?" answered Maya, the headmaid of the castle.
"When will Mother and Father arrive?"
"His Majesty and Her Highness will arrive in seven days," Maya responded.
"Perfect. The students should be ready by the time they get here. Fufu..." Millie giggled.
She stared into her tea with a mischievous grin.
"And maybe then... I'll finally achieve what I've been aiming for—defeating the Eldritch God of Profanity... using these people from another world, for the fourth time."
