Chapter 20 - Dungeon and Desires, Ch 20

But my curiosity extended beyond the realm of mere titillation. I was eager to discover what had transpired after I had returned from the world of entertainment. The avatar's actions, now a blur as the speed increased, began to take on a new significance.

"Here it starts," I murmured to myself, my eyes locked onto the screen.

The avatar, having thoroughly ravaged Asahi, burst out of the house like a bolt of lightning, its movements swift and purposeful.

Its destination was a seedy hotel, a place where one could lose themselves in the anonymity of the city. The avatar sought refuge in the hotel's dingy rooms, its exhaustion evident as it collapsed onto the bed.

But its rest was short-lived. Early the next morning, the avatar stirred, its movements once more deliberate and calculated. It walked through a neighborhood that exuded an air of affluence, its streets lined with manicured lawns and gleaming facades. The avatar's gait was casual, its eyes scanning the surroundings with an air of nonchalance. Yet, I knew better. It was scoping out a place to commit a crime, its intentions far from pure.

And then, in an instant, its target was decided. The avatar's gaze locked onto a specific location, its focus unwavering. I leaned forward, my heart pounding in anticipation, as the scene unfolded before me like a dark and twisted dance.

As I stood before the residence, I couldn't help but notice that it belonged to a married woman whose appearance was quite striking, though not quite on the same level as Asahi's captivating beauty.

My gaze drifted towards the avatar, who was peering intently through the window, his eyes fixed on the woman's chest with an unbridled intensity.

"Indeed, that's me," I said, my voice laced with a sense of dark amusement. "Checking out the chest after the face, it's almost a ritual now."

Without hesitation, the avatar broke into the target's house, his movements swift and calculated. However, he soon discovered that he wasn't alone; a man still lingered inside, having not yet left for work.

The avatar's demeanor remained eerily calm, devoid of any signs of panic or concern. He sprang into action, his fist swinging through the air to connect with the man's face, followed by a swift kick that sent him crashing to the ground. The brutality of the attack was matched only by its swiftness, and soon the man lay motionless, his life extinguished in an instant.

The woman's screams pierced the air, but the avatar paid her no heed, his attention focused solely on his own twisted desires. He loomed over her, his presence menacing, as he issued a cold, calculating threat: "If you don't want to die like your husband, do as I say."

The events that unfolded next were nothing short of depraved. The avatar's lust consumed him, driving him to claim the woman's body as his own.

He ravaged her, his passion unrelenting, until exhaustion finally took hold.

Only then did he leave her behind, discarded like a used toy, as he stepped out into the bright sunlight.

"...What a mess," I muttered to himself, my words a stark understatement of the chaos my avatar had unleashed.

The avatar's wanderlust soon took hold, and he boarded a train bound for another town. This time, he spent a day holed up in a cheap hotel, his mind festering with dark desires.

As night fell, he set out to prowl the upscale residential areas, seeking out women with voluptuous figures to satiate his twisted cravings. If a man dared to stand in his way, he was dispatched with ruthless efficiency, as if it were the most natural thing in the world.

"Automatic progression..."

I amused, my words a haunting reflection of the destructive cycle my avatar had fallen into.

The avatar's reign of terror finally came to an end after a harrowing ten days, leaving in its wake a trail of devastation and despair.

The authorities, who had been hot on its heels, closed in and apprehended the avatar, bringing an end to its twisted game of cat and mouse.

The extent of its depravity was staggering - six innocent men had lost their lives at its hands, while eight married women had been subjected to its brutal assaults.

Entire Japan was left reeling in shock, struggling to comprehend the sheer scale of my avatar's atrocities. It was only fitting, then, that it was sentenced to the ultimate punishment: death.

"What a ridiculous, over-the-top farce," I muttered to myself, shaking my head in disgust. "It's worse than some trashy, low-budget movie."

I sped up the playback, eager to get through the tedious stretches of the avatar's prison life. The days blended together in a dull haze, punctuated only by the occasional, mundane routine.

But eventually, the inevitable arrived - the avatar met its end at the hangman's noose, a grim conclusion to a life marked by senseless violence and destruction.

A message flashed on the screen, a stark reminder that this particular tale had reached its conclusion:

[You have completed watching the ending of MV-9595]

I was barred from selecting this world again, but the ending was saved, frozen in time for me to revisit whenever I chose.

[The ending is saved and can be viewed again at any time]

A soft chime echoed through the air, a gentle reminder of my accomplishment. I gazed at the notification, a hint of a smile playing on my lips.

[You have earned 1 point as an ending bonus]

A low chuckle escaped my throat as I read the words. "Oh, bonus point," I murmured, my voice laced with amusement.

The image of the avatar meeting its demise by hanging still lingered in my mind, but I felt no sense of unease or concern. It was, after all, just a digital representation – its fate was of no consequence to me.

Instead, a wave of relief washed over me. I had just confirmed that even if my in-game avatar were to meet its end, I, the player, would remain unscathed.

The uncertainty of what would happen if I were to die in the game still lingered, but I was reassured by the knowledge that, if all else failed, I could simply retreat back to the safety of the real world.

"The game is just a game," I reminded myself, my voice barely above a whisper. With that thought, I let out a contented sigh and lay down on the bed, feeling the softness of the mattress envelop me.
