…even mastered the Rasengan, and yet he had the audacity to teach it to them as if they needed his charity. Both of them gritted their teeth at the thought.

Then Mito spoke up, "Alright... so you'll teach us, huh?"

Danzo nodded with a sly smile. Menma and Mito looked at each other. Menma gave a firm nod, and Mito returned it. "Fine," she said. "But what about our parents? Won't they notice?"

Danzo smirked. "Don't worry about that. I'll teach you a jutsu that will allow you to sneak out of your home undetected whenever you need to. You'll come to me for training."

Both Menma and Mito nodded again, and that day, they officially became members of Root.

Flashback ends.

Back in the classroom, both Menma and Mito had already passed the Genin exam. To be honest, neither of them felt much about it. After all, any achievement they made was always overshadowed by their brother's success. So what did it even matter?

As they walked out of the Academy, they saw their parents waiting with smiles on their faces. But all Menma and Mito could see were the imagined expressions of disappointment—phantoms telling them they were failures and would never be comparable to their older brother.

They narrowed their eyes slightly. But then, the training with Danzo came to mind.

They just had to keep pretending.

One day, Menma would become the Hokage. One day, they would remove Naruto from the picture entirely.

Menma smirked to himself.

Just a little longer, he thought.

Mito had the same idea. After a small celebration for their graduation as Genin, both Menma and Mito quietly left for more brutal training under Danzo-sama.

Meanwhile, in the Hokage's office, Minato and Kushina sat together as Minato spoke, "Well, it seems Menma and Mito have finally graduated."

Jiraiya, who was with them, nodded. "They could've graduated long ago with proper training. That was my suggestion, remember? But you two insisted they stay in the Academy."

Minato sighed. "We just wanted them to grow naturally, to enjoy their childhood a little longer.":

As for Kushina She was only there because Minato had asked for her advice—nothing more.

Far, far away—

beyond the planet, in a desolate land—a lone figure stood at the center of it all, as fire danced and raged around him. It was none other than Naruto.

Over the years, he had discovered that he could travel through space without needing oxygen. This had surprised him at first, but by now, there was very little that could truly shock him. He smirked slightly to himself.

He had chosen to leave the Elemental Nations behind and find a distant, uninhabited planet—one where he could train freely. Back home, even a fraction of his power could be felt across the entire continent, and he had grown tired of constantly hiding it.

But here—here, he could unleash the full fury of his strength.

His training was merciless.

He had grown taller than anyone would expect of a fourteen-year-old. In fact, he looked more like a sixteen- or seventeen-year-old. But Naruto didn't care about appearances. What he craved was a true challenge.

And soon enough, he would have it.

Even without an opponent, the thirst for growth—the desire for power—burned inside him. He pushed himself every day, not just to grow stronger, but to master every aspect of his abilities.

Meanwhile, in a realm far beyond the known universe, on the distant land of the Ōtsutsuki, a massive being suddenly opened his eyes—eyes that glowed with the power of the Jōgan.

He was the King of the Ōtsutsuki, and lately, he had been plagued with ominous visions—premonitions of a battle that would push him to the brink of death.

In these visions, a golden and reddish aura surrounded a mysterious warrior—one who matched him blow for blow, as though they were equals. The King hated this.

It reminded him too much of another incident, long ago—right before another figure had annihilated one of their seeded worlds. And now, he was having the same kind of dream again, over and over.

He knew what it meant.

His Shōgun—the seer of the Ōtsutsuki—had confirmed it: these visions were not just dreams, but glimpses into the future.

And that meant the opponent already existed.

He couldn't sense the person's chakra—not yet—but he could feel it in his soul. A challenge was coming. A fight that could truly end him.

And that terrified him.

The Ōtsutsuki feared many things—but above all, they feared death.

They were immortal, yes—but with the help of chakra fruits, they had always sought to stretch that immortality even further. The thought of losing it? Of dying?

It shook them to their core.

And this time, the King felt it was no empty fear. His greatest fight—and possibly his end—was coming.....and that thought terrified him.

The Ōtsutsuki feared many things, but above all, they were cowards at heart. Yes, they were immortals, but even so, they craved more life, more power, endlessly. Through the consumption of chakra fruits, they had extended their existence again and again.

And so, the idea of losing that immortality—of truly dying even karma —was their greatest fear.

The same was true for the King.

Determined to avoid this fate, the Ōtsutsuki King resolved to grow even stronger. He would consume more and more chakra fruits, accumulate more power, so that when the time came—when the mysterious threat finally emerged—he would be ready to crush him.

He would not allow anyone to bring an end to his existence.

Meanwhile, back in the Hidden Leaf Village, in the council room, all the members had gathered. Today was important: they were going to finalize the genin team arrangements.

The Hokage, Minato Namikaze, had already prepared the list. The council's job now was to review and approve it—though objections could still be raised.

This meeting was particularly significant because the clan heirs were involved. The clan heads had shown up to ensure that their children would be placed under capable leadership and guided properly in the future.

Minato already had a feeling this wouldn't be his day.

He knew his sensei Jiraiya's suggestion was going to cause a storm. Still, he had to present it—he owed it to the children, even if he disagreed with parts of it. Across the table, Jiraiya was already smirking, clearly convinced that his proposal had passed.

He was itching to train his godchildren, Menma and Mito, and unlock their "true potential"—hoping they would eventually surpass their "useless" older brother, Naruto, who, in his view, wasn't even supposed to have power to begin with. Jiraiya still clung to the belief that Naruto was defying fate—one he had never accepted.

At that moment, Koharu spoke up.

"Today's council session is focused on the assignment of genin teams for the next generation."

Everyone nodded in agreement. Then Homura followed.

"Lord Hokage, we assume you've already prepared the team list?"

Minato nodded. "Yes. With assistance from Jiraiya-sensei, we've carefully considered each team's balance and potential. Here are the team assignments."

As Minato began reading through the team rosters—Team 8, Team 10, and others—most of the team structures remained unchanged.

Then came the announcement for Team 7.

"Team 7 will consist of Menma Namikaze, Mito Namikaze, and Sasuke Uchiha," Minato declared.

A wave of murmurs rippled through the room.

"Due to the unique nature and importance of this team, we have decided to assign Kakashi Hatake as the official jōnin instructor… and Jiraiya-sensei as a special co-trainer."
