Yasa casually eliminated the Shandia people who had troubled the Sky Islanders for centuries, as easily as squashing ants. He then turned back to the Temple, showing little interest in the affair.
There were no true experts on all of Sky Island who could truly engage him. A single bolt of lightning could kill almost anyone, leaving him with nothing to do but cultivate and develop his Devil Fruit ability.
Time quietly slipped by, and another two months passed.
In the Temple, upon the lofty golden throne, Yasa lay lazily. Fine electric currents flowed through his body, causing his muscles to twitch rhythmically.
"The design plans for the ark 'Thunder God' still haven't been finalized? What are those shipwrights doing?"
His voice was indifferent, yet carried the weight of heavenly authority. His casual words struck like thunder, making the Temple guards hold their breaths, cold sweat streaming down their backs.
As the saying goes: "The environment shapes one's temperament, and nourishment molds one's physique." Those long accustomed to positions of power naturally exude an air of authority without anger. This was especially true of Yasa, who was acknowledged as the god of all Sky Island!
"Lord of Thunder, the plans for your Thunder God ark have been revised. Those shipwrights are working diligently on construction. Here are the final blueprints for your review!"
Constance, being Yasa's loyal lackey, immediately presented the Thunder God blueprints, bowing with his head lowered in humble submission.
"Why didn't you bring these designs earlier?" Yasa glared at him, causing the man to kneel in fear and silence.
"Lord Yasa, you're mistaken about him. The plans were just delivered!" An elder following behind Constance spoke with measured dignity.
This man was the descendant of the creator of the Waver from four centuries ago, a top-tier shipwright on Sky Island. He frequently crafted daily necessities and weapons for the God's Guard using various shellfish, making him an invaluable talent.
"Hmm." Yasa nodded, not particularly concerned.
He spread out the blueprints, meticulously examining the design he had personally sketched for the future Thunder God!
The first image depicted the Thunder God's exterior, resembling the S.H.I.E.L.D. ship from his previous life's Marvel movies. However, it had been intentionally scaled down to maintain speed during flight, with lines refined for aesthetic appeal.
Every part of the vessel was forged from pure gold, exuding an opulent grandeur that could blind the eyes of any observer. The ship featured three decks, complete with a kitchen, bathrooms, cultivation rooms, bathhouses, and other amenities, totaling twenty to thirty individual chambers.
There was also a vast, flat deck that could accommodate over a hundred people for a banquet, its surface covered in pristine white Thunder Beast fur, a specialty of Sky Island.
To add some vitality and prevent the space from becoming too empty and quiet, the rear of the deck featured planted flowers and a fish observation pool.
The bow was the most important part, where a golden pavilion stood. Inside the pavilion, two power crystals with a diameter of one meter each rose from the base.
"What a perfect creation!" Yasa flipped through the pages, noticing slight modifications to the parts that would allow the entire ship to be perfectly constructed.
Feeling quite satisfied, his mood naturally improved. "How do the specific parameters of the Thunder God compare to other ships?"
"Reporting to Lord of Thunder!" The old man immediately puffed out his chest with pride after hearing the question. "The Thunder God's design was created by you, Lord of Thunder. This streamlined body is highly suitable for navigation, whether on the ocean or in the sky. Its speed can be several times faster than Waver."
"We designed Vent Shells at the rear. Once accelerated, I estimate it will be ten times faster than Waver. However, this state requires double the power consumption. Since you, Lord of Thunder, can control lightning, you naturally don't care about such minor expenses."
"At the bow, we've installed a Repulsion Shell—a rare weapon from Sky Island, also powered by electricity! The shockwave it releases can pulverize ships kilometers away—a devastating force!"
"Moreover, even when stationary, it can hover in the air with negligible power consumption—practically nothing!"
"This Flying Ship Thunder God took us nearly a year to perfect. Every detail is optimized for Lord of Thunder's journey to the Infinite Land!" The old man puffed out his chest with pride, his beard quivering comically as he spoke.
Yasa curled his lip at the mention of the Infinite Land. These Sky Islanders clung to their moon fantasies, imagining everyone shared their delusions.
He'd built this ship for ocean conquest, not lunar expeditions. What use was that barren rock? He wasn't some Enel to waste time with robot companions.
The old man continued, "There's one thing I don't quite understand. Gold is soft and prone to seawater discoloration. Why not reinforce it with other materials, like wood, Lord Yasa?"
"Don't worry about that!" Yasa waved his hand, cutting off the old man's question.
Wood? How low-tech! And what's wrong with discoloration? Lightning Metallurgy can restore the gold to its original brilliance. With so much gold available at sea, we can easily repair the surface as long as the core remains intact.
Yasa rested his head on his left hand while his right drummed rhythmically against the golden throne. "Enough chatter. How long will it take to complete the Thunder God? I want you to make it public as soon as possible!"
"That..." The old man gave an awkward chuckle. "Lord of Thunder, my fellow shipwrights and I have calculated the time required. To unveil the Thunder God, we'll need substantial amounts of gold. All of it must be melted down and reformed. This massive undertaking will likely take at least five years..."
"Five years? That long?" Yasa's brow furrowed, his expression turning troubled.
It's currently Sea Circle Era 1495. Five years later will be 1500. By then, Roger will have been seated on the One Piece throne for three years. The Golden Lion's legs will be broken, and the Red Earl will have been captured. How can I possibly wait that long?
"Is there any way to shorten the time?" Yasa asked in a low voice.
"My lord, it will take at least five years! Sky Island has too few craftsmen, and this speed is already considered fast. However, I've heard that as the Lord of Thunder, you control lightning. By using electric heat to melt metal and shape it as desired, your assistance could reduce the time by about three years!" The Shipwright Elder's eyes lit up as he looked at Yasa.
"Five years... I've already grown impatient waiting. You expect me to wait another five years? What kind of joke is this!" Yasa felt irritable, blue lightning flickering around him with crackling sounds.
"I can help them manufacture parts for about a year. After that, whether it's completed or not, I must go to the sea!"
One year later would be Sea Circle Era 1496. Roger would be circumnavigating the Four Seas and returning to the Grand Line. Yasa had to witness Roger's glory firsthand; otherwise, he would regret it for the rest of his life.
