Upon receiving the System's directive, Cid felt a gentle but irresistible force envelop him. It wasn't a violent portal or a crude teleportation. It was a controlled dissolution of his presence in the vast System chamber, followed by a gentle reassembly as he was propelled through a space that defied description.
There was no up or down, no forward or backward. It was a sea of shifting colors, energy patterns unfolding and folding, and distant echoes of countless realities. Air didn't exist, but Cid didn't need to breathe. Light had no single source, but emanated from the very fabric of space itself. It was the cosmic highway, the underlying fabric of the multiverse.
Cid thought: This is the Cosmic Allied Organization's high-level strategic dimensional displacement technique. A manifestation of their mastery over space-time. Only elite agents, like myself, Level 7, have access to this method of covert transportation. Moving through the folds of reality to reach the target without leaving a conventional trace. Impressive in its complexity, but... I was hoping for something a little more... dramatic. Still, subtlety is key in these operations.
The journey didn't feel like a wild race, but rather like an intentional glide, guided by an invisible hand. He felt the presence of the System, a calm, directive energy signature, ensuring his passage was precise and safe. It wasn't him in control; it was the vast intelligence behind it all, leading him directly to his destination.
Cid thought: The System is facilitating the route. As the mission's tactical navigator. It's taking me directly to the 'Sung Jinwoo' operations sector. My energy is the beacon; the Organization's dimensional transport network does the rest. It's efficient. Coldly efficient. Just as it should be.
As he navigated this extradimensional space, flashes of other energies whizzed past him. Swift silhouettes, composed of light and purpose, moving in different directions. They seemed as deliberate in their transit as he was. They were figures that didn't belong to any singular reality he had previously known.
Cid thought: Other agents. Or perhaps... key asset transport units. The Cosmic Allied Organization is vast, operating on countless fronts. These must be other high-level operatives on their own strategic missions. Moving silently through the void... the true life of a cosmic secret agent. Or perhaps they are natural phenomena of the multiverse, energetic singularities that the Organization utilizes or avoids. I need to be vigilant.
The System provided him with no additional information about these flashes. It simply guided him. The focus was solely on his destination: Sung Jinwoo's reality. The sensation of transit continued, a state of suspended existence in which the concept of linear time became irrelevant. There was only forward movement through the fabric of realities.
Cid's energy, his own unique signature, acted as a beacon for the System, allowing him to be tracked and directed with microscopic precision through the multiversal labyrinth. There was no deviation. No error. Only the direct path to the 'Designated Shadow Asset.'
Cid thought: Precision is vital. Arriving at the exact spot, at the optimal moment. This 'technique' is a testament to the Organization's logistical power. Nothing is left to chance. It's almost... too easy. There must be a hidden layer. Perhaps the real challenge is resisting 'dimensional pressure' or 'quantum disorientation'. Yes, I must concentrate to maintain my integrity as a Level 7 Agent in this hostile environment. Though I don't feel any difficulty. But that's the subtlety. Danger lurks where you least expect it.
The environment around him began to subtly change. Colors became less chaotic, energetic structures became more clearly defined, taking on forms that seemed... more stable, more coherent. The Primordial Void felt increasingly distant, replaced by the increasing density of Creation. He was approaching a specific universe.
The sensation of being propelled peaked and then began to diminish. The transition space thinned, and Cid felt the unmistakable sensation of returning to a reality with defined physical rules. Light and air made sense again. The dimensional journey was ending.
Cid thought: Descent has begun. Entering atmosphere... or whatever the dimensional equivalent is. Insertion point... imminent. Prepare, Level 7 Agent. The first phase of the recruitment mission is about to get underway.
The journey through the multiversal "fabric" came to an abrupt end. One last pulse of energy from the System, and Cid found himself in a place that, though unknown to him, unmistakably belonged to a physical reality. The Dimensional Transition had concluded.
