Most of the summer vacation had passed, and today, Yaeko had a rare day off. She arrived at the Miyamura family early in the morning to discuss elementary school options with Shizuka. Tsuna and Shouko went to the park to play with Shin-chan and the others. Hachiko stayed at the Nishimiya family to accompany Yuzuru, and Daisuke was at work.
"Shizuka, which elementary school are you thinking of for Tsuna?" Yaeko sat by the coffee table, her gaze on the tea in her cup.
"I plan to enroll Tsuna in a nearby school, take him to get familiar with the route, and then let him go to school on his own," Shizuka said lazily, lying on the coffee table and turning to look at Yaeko.
"What about you? You should enroll Shouko in Sunshine Elementary School, right?" Shizuka asked, feeling confident in her assumption.
"...."
Shizuka noticed Yaeko hesitated after hearing her suggestion, and the laziness she had shown before disappeared. So, she quickly asked:
"You're not going to enroll Shouko in a regular elementary school, are you?!"
"I..."
Yaeko hesitated, about to speak, when Shizuka interrupted her: "Think it through. Shouko is likely to be excluded among these regular children!"
"Listen to me." Yaeko patted the excited Shizuka on the arm.
Shizuka nodded, signaling that she would keep quiet and let Yaeko continue.
"Shouko can speak normally with Tsuna's help, right? So, I want her to attend the same school as Tsuna." Yaeko's voice faltered slightly as she added the second half of her thought, 'I want Tsuna to look after Shouko more in elementary school...'
"But Shouko is still part of a disadvantaged group, and she might face exclusion from other children."
Shizuka didn't agree with the idea. In Japan, exclusion is common for anyone perceived as different—whether due to appearance or something like hearing aids. Shizuka felt that Shoko would stand out in a regular school and be vulnerable to bullying.
In the end, Yaeko didn't speak further and lowered her head in thought. Shizuka didn't disturb her and slowly peeled an orange on the coffee table.
After eating several slices, Yaeko finally made up her mind and turned to Shizuka.
"Want some?" Shizuka offered her the half of the orange she didn't want to finish, chewing slowly.
"Let Shouko attend the same school as Tsuna. When she grows up, she'll have to face people's strange looks. I want her to experience it earlier." Yaeko hesitated slightly as she accepted the orange from Shizuka.
"Okay... I'll ask Tsuna to look after Shouko when the time comes." Seeing that her friend had made up her mind, Shizuka couldn't say much more. After all, the tuition fees for schools for the hearing-impaired were far higher than those of regular schools, and recently, Shizuka had been worried that her workload might overwhelm her.
Once Shizuka gave her approval, Yaeko asked, "Which school are you considering?"
"I think Minato Elementary School is nearby. Daisuke has some connections there, so we can be in the same class and sit together."
After making the decision, Shizuka took Yaeko shopping.

**Later...**
"Tsuna, is this really okay?" Shouko asked, looking around timidly.
"It's fine, Shouko. We're not here for nothing." Tsuna reassured her. But when he felt his words didn't comfort her enough, he reached out and held her hand.
Tsuna and Shouko were now in a bookstore called "Youjia Bookstore." Despite the presence of some adults around, the two children stood out. After they entered, the clerk's gaze kept drifting toward them, perhaps worried they might damage the books.
"Tsuna, what book are you looking for?" After wandering for a while, Shouko began to feel bored, even with Tsuna by her side. The clerk had started to follow them at a distance.
The bookstore wasn't large, and despite walking around twice, Tsuna still hadn't found the Japanese light novels he was looking for.
"Sister, do you have a light novel called 'Your Lie in April'?" Tsuna finally asked the clerk, after not finding the book on his own.
The clerk thought for a moment, then shook her head. "I've never heard of a light novel by that name..."
"What about *Anohana*?" Tsuna asked. Again, the clerk shook her head.
"What about *Eat Your Pancreas*?"
The salesgirl smiled at Tsuna, clearly amused by the little boy's request. "Haha, little brother, stop joking! How could that be a light novel? It sounds more like a horror story."
Tsuna continued to ask about famous light novels from before 2010, but the clerk denied ever having heard of any.
Finally, the two children left the bookstore. Tsuna remained quiet as they walked, and Shouko, noticing this, thought he was disappointed about not finding the book. She quickly tried to comfort him. "Tsuna, don't be sad. It's not here, but we can check out other bookstores."
"No, I'm not sad. Let's try other stores," Tsuna said with a smile, reassuring Shouko. Seeing that Tsuna wasn't pretending, she smiled back.
The two visited four or five more bookstores, but they still found nothing. Tsuna's excitement began to rise. Could it be that these light novels didn't exist? Could he have some fun writing his own healing stories? But maybe it was just this one clerk who hadn't heard of them. He decided to ask around more.
When they got home, Shouko lay down on the tatami mat, exhausted. Tsuna felt bad for taking her out shopping for so long.
"Where did you go today? Shouko's forehead is covered in sweat," Shizuka said, returning home. She handed Shouko a tissue and asked her to wipe the sweat away, before turning on the air conditioner.
"Tsuna took me to so many bookstores today to look for books. It was fun!" Shouko explained quickly, thinking that Shizuka would scold Tsuna.
"Stop speaking for Tsuna," Shizuka said, reaching out to flick Shouko's forehead playfully.
"Oh..." Shouko rubbed her forehead in embarrassment.
"Did you find a book?" Shizuka noticed that Tsuna had nothing in his hands when he came home.
"Mom, have you ever heard of a light novel called *Eat Your Pancreas*?" Tsuna asked, a small fan in hand, as he looked up at Shizuka in confusion. He was 100% sure these novels weren't published in Japan.
"A light novel? *Eat Your Pancreas*?" Shizuka looked at him, baffled. The title sounded like something out of a horror novel.
In the end, Tsuna asked Shizuka about all the light novels he could think of, but she denied them one by one.
