William woke to the sound of a woman's relaxed breathing and looked over to see Kate lying naked on top of him with a smile on her face that would not disappear.
Seeing this caused William to chuckle warmly.
Gently moving her off his body so that he would not wake the sleeping woman, he floated over her and landed softly onto his feet.
THUMP!
"Huh?" William whispered and looked around, his eyes scanning his room for the strange noise, but when he found nothing that fit the sound, he shrugged and walked into the bathroom
CLICK!
Flipping on the light, William was suddenly stunned by what he saw in the mirror.
Dozens of glowing lipstick stains on his chest and abdomen, a few spots on his neck, and he even found some on his manhood.
"Did Kate use some kind of glowing lipstick?" He pondered, but at no point could he remember her lips glowing like this. Having no other options, he just assumed he had forgotten this part of the night.
William removed his clothes and stepped into the shower, and proceeded to let out a sigh of relief as the scalding hot water washed the mess from the previous night off his body.
After stepping out of the shower with a towel covering his abdomen, he noticed that Kate had at some point woken up and left the room.
THUMP!
He heard the noise again and squinted his eyes into slits as he searched carefully.
THUMP!
William saw his dresser practically shake in response to the strange thumping noise, and he cautiously stepped forward.
"What the hell is that?" he reached for the drawer handle and opened the dresser.
WHOOSH!
A strange purple and orange light slammed into William's chest with so much force that he was unable to stop his body from flying backward and forming a new human imprint in the wall.
"Whaaa?" William was initially stunned and confused by the pain and the light smashing into him, and attempted to yell out in his confusion, but was interrupted by an immense pain in the center of his very being.
"AAAAHHHHHHHH!" He feels a searing heat in the cavity where his heart lies and cries out in immense pain.
This was not just a physical pain of which he was used to at this point, no, this was pure spiritual torture as if someone was stabbing his chest with a white-hot poker.
The purple and orange flames around the strange object scorched a perfectly synchronous hole in his chest that still glowed with orange and purple flames.
William's mind went blank due to the level of spiritual pain he was receiving; he now felt as if his soul had been dropped into the heart of a star and left to suffer.
The wall William was implanted in began to burn.
WHOOOOSH!
William's body was engulfed in his orange flames, although there was a distinct purple secondary color dancing within the blaze, and the room itself became a purple and orange furnace.
All throughout the facility and even in the GDA headquarters, alarms went off as the sensors detected a sudden burst of high energy.
BOOM!
The doors to a surveillance office in the GDA suddenly slammed open and smashed into the wall.
Cecil was followed by Donald, who had somehow survived being impaled on a wall by the forces of the church, and both men entered with quickened steps.
"WHAT HAPPENED? REPORT!" Cecil commanded, and the GDA surveillance officer nodded before pulling up a map of Chicago on the console he was using.
A map appeared on the screen along with a steadily growing orange dot originating from a certain location.
"Send Immortal to Teen Team HQ immediately!" Cecil commands, and Donald, being ever brilliant in his duty, was already on it.
Within Teen Team HQ, everyone within the facility had suddenly felt an immense pressure and found themselves struggling to stand.
RUMBLE!
Eve managed to resist the pressure by flying into the air, but she still felt extraordinarily heavy, and she was sweating buckets trying to maintain her flight.
"TTTTTSKKK... What the hell is going on?" She asked as thick beads of sweat pooled on the floor below.
Rex was doing pushups in front of a mirror in his room, and suddenly found himself faceplanted into the ground and was unable to remove himself despite his best efforts.
"What the fuck is this, fucking gravity?" Rex's veins bulged to the point of bursting, but all he could do was turn his head, leaving the young man feeling incensed as well as embarrassed.
"Well, at least no one is here to see this!"
SHATTER!
The mirror in front of him began to splinter due to the pressure, the fact that it was made of superior material seeming to make little difference to the pressure descending.
In a lab Robot and a series of his best drones were working on some sort of chamber when the pressure from above descended upon him and his drones.
"Hmmm, sensors are picking up an anomaly!"
CRACK!
SHATTER!
The lesser drones around him began to visibly warp and become crushed under the weight of the pressure, but thankfully, Robot had the forethought to only use his best drone, which was able to survive the immense pressure.
However, the rest of the lab was not so lucky as tubes, containers, and various items began to warp and crumble.
Kate was on the phone with someone important to her when she suddenly felt the immense pressure, but before the pressure could fully descend upon her, a strange energy enveloped her from within and invigorated her cells, empowering her enough to just barely resist the force she was feeling.
"What is this feeling?" She looked at her hand and felt that she was imagining her very cells glowing with a soft inner light.
She watched in confusion as objects in her room were unable to cope with the pressure and began crumbling around her.
CRACK!
SHATTER!
The person on the other side of the phone heard the noise and began asking about her condition.
"Yeah... Yeah, I'm fine, something seems to be happening though, so I will have to let you go, it was good talking to you, Paul!"
She hangs up the call and stands to her feet.
Even though she could move, she was still extraordinarily heavy and thus much slower than normal.
Beads of sweat formed on her head as she equipped her uniform and stepped out into the hall.
The first thing she saw was a struggling Monster Girl and a few other recruits who appeared to have been talking in the common room, none of whom were able to resist the pressure, and Monster Girl, being too close to the others, was refusing to transform.
Kate formed a series of clones, each one suspiciously able to resist the pressure descending upon them, and proceeded to assist the recruits in standing.
"What's going on, Kate?" Monster girl asked as Kate picked her up and held her up through the pressure.
"I have no idea; I'm just as confused as you are!" Kate sighed in defeat; however, she continued to ponder why she was able to resist the strange pressure.
Back in William's room, the entirety of the room was engulfed in orange and purple flames that originated from both the hole in William's chest and his eyes, which seemed to be streaming pure flames that scorched the surroundings.
Minutes passed like hours, and after repeated attempts to heal the wound, it finally began to close, the blazing two-toned light emanating from within becoming a dot of light before the wound finally closed.
The flames emanating from within his eyes dimmed and eventually sank back into his irises, which were blazing with the same-colored light.
William finally dropped to the floor, which was now blackened to the point of crumbling to the touch, and coughed up a glob of blood that was still in his throat.
HYAK!
Clutching his chest, he was greatly confused as to what had just occurred, but after minutes of nothing else happening, he stood to his feet.
CRUNCH!
The ground under his feet shattered like brittle ice, and a deep footprint was left behind.
William sighed in annoyance and began floating above the floor, which could only be described as extra crispy.
He peeked his head out of the door and was shocked to find everything seemingly in chaos, people and items were strewn about in any and all directions, and a feeling of deep confusion was felt in the atmosphere.
"What happened out here?" He thought out loud, and suddenly Rex came bursting out of his room with confusion and anger in equal measure.
"WHAT THE FUCK WAS THAT SHIT?" Rex, in a very brash and tone-deaf way, announced what everyone was thinking.
William went back inside the bedroom and found a pair of shorts that were decently clean to cover up his modesty, and stepped outside to find people rushing here and there to fix what could be fixed.
The entire facility was in an uproar, and even the civilians on the bridge weren't left unaffected.
Walking past Rex while floating just inches above the ground, William moved through the halls and noticed that although the damage lessened the further he went, the only room that was scorched was his room, which left him feeling thankful, as the fires would have killed anyone else.
Upon entering the common room area, he found Kate helping the group of recruits stand to their feet, unlike the others, though she appeared much better off and was missing the sheen of sweat that was ever present on the faces of everyone else.
"I'm so glad you are okay!" His face flushed as he said this, as he noticed the teasing glances of the other heroes.
Kate's face flushed in response to his cute embarrassment, and she giggled softly before her clones in a rush of excitement, all rushed towards William.
SMOOCH!
SMOOCH!
SMOOCH!
Her clones began to kiss him repeatedly from multiple points, causing the atmosphere around them to turn a distinct pink that left the onlookers feeling a certain way, with some feeling slightly hotter and others feeling like cringing internally.
Kate's main body visibly turned red in both embarrassment and fury as she could both feel and taste everything that was going on, but was internally furious that she was left out.
"GO AWAY YOU SLUTS!"
Kate roared at her clones, causing them to look at her in shock before separating from William with a pout on their faces before walking reluctantly over to Kate and merging back with her body.
However, the last one made sure to blow William a kiss before giving Kate a smirk, causing her main body to become visibly incensed.
Before she could lash out, however, the clone vanished into her body, leaving her with nowhere to vent her frustration.
"You.....!" She is about to curse when William rushed towards her and wrapped her in his strong arms, not only causing her brain to temporarily short circuit, but the anger she was visibly feeling to dissipate like it never existed.
She closed her eyes and placed her head on his chest, and smiled as she listened to his calming heartbeat.
BADUMP!
Inside William's chest, in the cavity where his powerful heart pumped his strange blood throughout his body, a strange purple glow illuminated the surroundings lightly, and as it slowly fades, a portion of his heart appeared to have been changed into an organic crystal that pulsed with purple and orange with each beat of his heart.
Weeks passed as the facility was repaired and reinforced, and it was during this time that, while William was testing himself in the training room that something strange happened.
As William was smashing a never-ending tide of Robot drones of different shapes and sizes, he found himself soon overwhelmed and on the verge of defeat against the endless hordes when he remembered the sword he used in that strange dreamscape.
Remembering how powerful he felt using that weapon, he imagined himself using it now and internally wished that he had it with him in this fight.
As if responding to his desires, the organic crystal portion of his heart began to glow with purple, orange energy, and that energy swept through his entire body.
PUCHI!
Crimson streams cascaded from William's fingertips, weaving themselves into the form of a broad, gleaming blade. The weapon's edge tapered to a razor-sharp tip, glinting with a brilliance so precise it seemed capable of carving through diamonds.
The blade shimmered with a blood-red hue, its translucent surface exuding an otherworldly allure, while the handle and guard were forged from an ominous black metal. At the very center, a striking gem glowed with purple and orange tones, radiating an air of regal menace and deadly elegance all at once.
William's eyes seemed to glow as he held the seemingly weightless weapon, but the sound of approaching drones brought him out of his reverie and with a casual movement of his arm sent a slash towards a drone which was already in the middle of an attack of its own.
SHING!
The drone fell to the ground in two halves and left William's mouth agape at how effortlessly the blade carved through the metal drone.
"WOW!" William thought as he continued to carve through the drones like a Thanksgiving turkey.
WHOOOOOOSH!
William spun with the blade turning into a cyclone of pure death that turned the surrounding drones into scrap.
In his mind, he was screaming "DEMACIA!!!!"
