William was in the middle of training with the other members of the Teen Team.
The group was split up into two, the current ongoing battle consisted of Rex and Eve, and Robot vs Kate and William.
"BOOM, BOOM, BOOM!"
Rex fired off a series of explosive projectiles, and William was forced to put himself in front of Kate to prevent her from taking any permanent damage to her main body.
"T...Thank you!"
She said her face flushed lightly as she saw his back muscles tensing behind his training suit.
Suddenly, William reached up and grasped an explosive projectile before crushing it in his hand.
"boom!"
A muffled explosion rang out, and he opened his hands, causing the dust from the projectile and burned skin to fall to the ground.
A pair of Kate's clones springboarded from William's shoulders, and she suddenly sent a combined assault on both Rex and Eve, only for Robot to fire off a beam towards the clone attacking Eve, but before the beam could land, William put himself in front of it with his arms crossed.
"KTTCHHHH!"
William grits his teeth as he feels the flesh on his arms become charred and healed repeatedly
The flesh singed from his bones began to slowly but surely overcome the beam, and with a confident step forward, William moved towards the robot's drone as it began increasing the power behind the beam.
"CTTCHHHH!"
The beam began to force him backward and his feet began to dig into the floor of the training room, as the beam pushed against him it split off in multiple directions and struck near Rex forcing him to jump upward in an attempt to dodge only for Kate's legs to wrap around his neck and she began squeezing with a pleased expression on her face.
"URKKK... KKA...!"
Rex attempted to struggle, but Kate's legs were quite powerful, and before he could regain any form of momentum, he lost the strength to continue, and he was rendered a non-combatant by the training room.
Eve threw a series of energy balls toward Kate, who performed a desperate series of acrobatics in an attempt to dodge before her clone was surrounded by the pink orb.
Eve was about to squeeze when alarms started blaring, turning off the training simulation and returning the group to the room Rex was in.
The room turned red, and the largest screen turned itself on and showed a news story where a portal had opened and alien invaders were pouring in.
Cecil's image appeared in the corner and began giving orders to the team, who immediately rushed into action by gearing up in their special uniforms.
It did not take long, and soon the group was heading to the action in the Verti bird.
William closed his eyes as he listened to the sound of the blades spinning, he suddenly felt Kate's hand on his thigh, and he looked over.
However, unlike what he was expecting, it appeared she wasn't trying to feel him up and appeared to be mentally preparing herself for however many deaths she would experience today.
In an act of kindness and solidarity, he put his hand over hers and gently squeezed.
The action caught her off guard, and her face flushed red.
She pulled her other hand to her chest as she felt her heart begin to beat faster all of a sudden, "Th...Thank you!"
She whispered, her voice sounding a little less like a mouse than before, and her eyes that reminded him of sparkling dark chocolate, her lips grew moist, and she began to slowly lean in as her eyes continued to lock onto Williams.
"Alright, guys, we should probably go over some kind of plan before we leave!"
Kate suddenly stopped her forward movement and went back to her normal sitting position as Rex's voice rang out like an annoying dog.
A frown adorned her face as she glared at Rex, who did his best to avoid eye contact.
The team went over a plan with Eve providing the group with armor, except for William, who volunteered his armor to Kate, whose face flushed in response.
Rex did his best to hide his anger at William's blatant flirting with Kate, but on the inside, he was raging at the thought that he could potentially no longer have an easily accessible lay.
William would take point with Kate and Eve running Interference, where she could as she blasted the enemies, Rex was mostly relegated to dealing with large groups using his explosives, which made him feel important, so his mood improved quite a bit in response to this news.
Soon, the Verti bird began experiencing turbulence, and the lights turned red.
The doors opened, and the sounds of warfare entered the cabin of the Verti bird, causing the team's faces to grow stern as they watched William leap from the opening into the streets below, which was teaming with aliens.
"Tch... Show off!"
Rex said before tossing a few bombs down below.
"BOOM!"
War Woman, who was already there along with the other Guardians, except for Nolan, noticed William and the other Teen Team members and nodded in approval at their presence.
William was still falling when a group of aliens ran up under him and began firing on him with strange laser weapons.
He put up his arms to guard from the beams, which carved trenches into his flesh upon contact, which began healing immediately and became more dense and tough in response.
"PEW, PEW, PEW!"
The beams continued to collide with his flesh, but soon his body fell onto the group of aliens, knee first, which caused the invaders' head to nearly explode in response.
A pair of bombs fell onto the other two and fell into their gear, causing a muffled explosion to ring out as a large amount of blood began to pool from the creature.
As the remaining alien pointed his weapon towards Rex, a pink barrier appeared in front of him and deflected the beam into the ground.
"BANG, BANG, BANG, BANG, BANG!"
The alien and a group of new reinforcements began firing on the barrier angrily before a small army of Kate's descended upon the new combatants.
A few of the Kates fell to the ground as the aliens began firing madly, but a man appeared in front of her with his arms crossed and began soaking up the damage.
She had her clones form a neat line behind William, so he did not have to move around so much, and they continued to speedily approach the aliens, who were no longer firing in formation and were now free firing upon them in fear, causing a few of their weapons to malfunction.
William's front half was a dark and blood-soaked skeleton when he and Kate came close enough to attack, but one of the aliens was about finished with charging his weapon to the maximum and pointed it at his skeletal chest.
Kate's clones dodged to either side as the weapon discharged.
"BOOOOOOOOOOOM!"
William was sent flying into the distance like a leaf in a hurricane a massive hole leaving his chest, see-through.
Rex and Eve's mouths opened wide, seeing their faces through the hole in his chest.
Kate grew enraged, seeing the beam pass through William, and suddenly summoned a large army of clones to swarm the group of aliens before they could retaliate, and suddenly, they were crushed under the weight of four hundred Kate's
She absorbed the ones still living and sighed before looking to where William fell, and with a look of pure relief on her face, he was slowly standing up as the hole in his chest was filling with blood, organs, bones, and flesh.
William turned his head back to her and gave her a thumbs up before rushing back to the fray and thrusting his open hand into the throat of one of the aliens.
"Crack!"
Something broke when he struck it, and the alien struggled madly for air clearly, he had destroyed its windpipe.
He raised his foot and angled it over the head of the alien before stomping down with full force and in a show that not only surprised him but also everyone around him including enemies, he stomped downward with such force that the cement below the alien's head cracked outward like spiderwebs.
"SPLATT!"
The alien's head exploded like a watermelon at a Gallagher show, creating a blood flower in the air for a brief moment before it sprayed the aliens and people surrounding him.
"REALLY?"
Rex yelled as he tried to continuously wipe the crazy amount of blood on his face and goggles.
Suddenly, a large alien smashed its foot into William's back and sent him rolling a few feet before rushing to his position and swinging a strange alien glaive in a downward chopping motion.
William reflexively spun his body in a way that caused his spine to nearly break and gripped the energy blade with both hands in an attempt to stop himself from being bisected.
"HAAAAAA!"
William and the large alien let out a combined roar as they struggled to gain the upper hand against their opponent.
The blade burned against his flesh like a red-hot stove top, and black smoke continued to rise from the area of contact, forcing him to grit his teeth and suffer through it as he fought against the strength of the rather large alien.
The Guardians were busy handling the Alien general, and the rest of the Teen Team appeared to have their hands full with the constant stream of aliens.
William's eyes grew stern as he put in as much effort as possible into pushing the alien backward, his veins nearly popped from the skin on his arms and neck, and the alien was slowly being pushed back despite his best efforts.
"CRCK!"
A breaking sound rang out, and the energy blade of the glaive snapped off the shaft, and the alien suddenly lost his footing and fell forward.
William pivoted on his heel to prevent falling forward and shifted his weight into the blade, which was now swinging downward.
"SHNK!"
The alien's vision bore a look of surprise as, from his perspective, the room was spinning, and when he saw his body with a thick ribbon of blood shooting from the stump where his head was, he finally died.
"POW!"
The sound of impact echoed outward, and Rex was sent flying by the backhand of another large alien.
"SOMEONE CATCH MEEEE....!"
William heard as he saw Rex flying in his direction, and with a sigh, he reached forward at the last moment and grabbed the scruff of his uniform.
Rex let out a huff of hot air as he opened his eyes but when he saw who saved him, he suddenly grew upset and began struggling in William's hands so with a look of pure apathy he dropped Rex on his ass.
"I did not ask you to save you noobie, but thanks!"
Rex reluctantly thanked William before rushing back to the fray with bombs flying everywhere and causing chaos amongst the alien ranks.
William stomped the ground and jumped high into the air before coming down on another group of aliens coming out of the portal, and decided to stick another landing.
"BANG!"
Unable to land on the alien's head this time, he managed to land on its chest, and he could hear the crack of whatever passed for ribs for this alien as it fell back into the shimmering green portal.
