"Expression through Writing and talking"

-3rd person pov-

Inside a modest apartment complex, a young boy sat at a small desk, the soft glow of a desk lamp casting warm light over the pages spread out before him. His green hair curled wildly at odd angles, creating dark shadows that danced across his face as he leaned closer to his work. Large, round eyes, the same vibrant green as his hair, flicked back and forth over his writing. The watery sheen in them reflected both excitement and deep focus, while the four freckles on each cheek formed neat diamond patterns, faintly catching the light as he moved.

It was Izuku Midoriya, still just a quirkless boy at this point in his life — but with dreams far bigger than his small room. His hand moved quickly, scribbling notes and observations into a well-worn journal covered in hero sketches and diagrams. Page after page captured his thoughts, strategies, and admiration for the heroes he idolized.

Suddenly, a knock echoed through the apartment, breaking the quiet rhythm of his pen against paper. Izuku's hand froze mid-sentence, his eyes lifting from the journal toward the door. He blinked, caught off guard, his mind racing as he realized he wasn't expecting anyone at this hour. The pen slipped slightly from his grasp as he pushed back from the desk, the room falling silent once more

Deku:{D-Did my limited edition All Might Silver Age costume come?}

Rising from his chair, the boy stepped away from his cluttered desk, leaving behind walls lined with All Might posters and shelves crammed with hero merchandise. He made his way through the narrow apartment, each step quiet against the worn floor as he approached the front door.

With a quick motion, he unlocked and pulled it open. Standing on the other side was not the expected delivery worker, but a large man with a broad, round build. A pristine lab coat hung over his frame, and strands of grey hair peeked out beneath a pair of goggles resting atop his head. Glasses sat firmly on his nose, while a thick, curled mustache—grey like his hair—fanned out on either side of his face.

For a long moment, they simply stared at each other in stillness, the air between them heavy with awkward quiet. Then, without a word, the man reached into his coat and smoothly produced a clipboard, holding it out as the silence stretched on

TNE: (calmly, holding out the clipboard) "Izuku Midoriya, correct?"

Deku: (shivers slightly) "Y-Yeah, that's me…"

TNE: "I'm Taiga Natsuo Endo, but you can call me TNE. CEO and lead scientist of GeneSpark Industries. I've heard quite a bit about you."

Deku: (flustered) "R-Really? Oh—sorry, where are my manners! Would you… like to come in?"

TNE: (stepping forward) "Gladly. I have an opportunity I think you'll want to hear."

TNE stepped through the doorway, his broad frame filling the narrow entrance as he entered the apartment. He loomed over the boy, casting a long shadow that stretched across the floor and over the living room

The boy's shoulders tensed, his hands trembling slightly at his sides as he instinctively took a small step back. His wide eyes lifted to meet the man's gaze, uncertain and wary.

TNE calmly adjusted his glasses with a slow, deliberate motion. His posture straightened, and though no words were spoken, the subtle shift in his expression and stance carried an unsettling yet oddly confident energy — as though he believed deeply in the purpose behind his presence here.

TNE: "Izuku Midoriya… You've got a good heart. You want to be a hero like All Might, don't you?"

Deku: (brightening) "Yes! I want to save people—with a smile—just like him!"

TNE: (murmurs to himself) "So optimistic…

(then, directly to Deku) But… your profile says you're quirkless. And yet, you still cling to this dream?"

Deku: (voice drops, but determined) "Y-Yeah… I know it's hard, but I have to try."

TNE: (smiling faintly) "Try all you want… but no matter how hard you train, you'll always be at a disadvantage without a quirk.(leans in slightly) And that… is exactly why I'm here."

TNE's fingers hovered over the clipboard, and with a quiet press of a button, a soft hum filled the air. Suddenly, a holographic logo flickered into existence in front of them. The logo was an intricate double helix, its spirals glowing with an electric blue energy that pulsed like a heartbeat. Wrapped around the helix was a spark of brilliant light, casting a soft glow over the dim room.

Deku's eyes widened in awe as he took in the sight, his gaze fixed on the mesmerizing display. He had never seen technology like this before, the glow illuminating his face with wonder. For a moment, he forgot his unease, captivated by the beauty and complexity of the image.

Behind the hologram, TNE stood with a slight, knowing smile. His eyes, hidden behind the glasses, glinted with a sense of purpose, though the boy couldn't yet recognize the cold calculation hidden beneath his seemingly innocent demeanor. The man's posture remained relaxed, yet there was a quiet certainty in his presence, as if everything unfolding was simply part of a greater plan

TNE:"You see, Izuku, at GeneSpark Industries, we dedicate ourselves to helping those society has overlooked — people like you, born without a quirk. But thanks to cutting-edge genetic science, we can change that. We can give quirkless individuals abilities of their own… real, powerful quirks. Think about it: no more whispers behind your back, no more doors closed in your face. You'd finally stand where you belong — among heroes, with your head held high. All that pain, all that doubt… gone. Replaced by the strength and respect you've always deserved."

Deku stood frozen, his body stiff with shock as TNE's words echoed in his mind. The holographic image in front of him seemed to blur as his thoughts swirled. The offer was clear — a chance to gain a quirk. To finally be someone others respected, someone who could stand tall, unafraid. But beneath the weight of the proposal, a gnawing unease grew in the pit of his stomach.

His mind drifted back to his childhood, to the days when he and Katsuki Bakugo had been inseparable. He remembered the endless games, the camaraderie, the laughter. But those memories had been shattered when Katsuki had turned on him, mocking him for his lack of a quirk. Deku still called him "Kacchan", still clung to the hope that maybe, just maybe, his former best friend would one day see past his quirklessness and return to the friendship they once had.

But those days felt distant now. Katsuki had become the embodiment of everything Deku could never have, his explosive power making him the center of attention, the hero everyone looked up to. Deku had been left behind, an outcast. The people who surrounded him, his peers, his classmates — they barely acknowledged him. They treated him like he was invisible, like he was worthless.

Now, standing before TNE, the offer of a quirk seemed like the key to unlocking everything he had ever wanted. The respect, the admiration, the acceptance. It was all within reach. But the feeling in the pit of his stomach refused to fade, a quiet voice in his mind whispering that something wasn't right. Despite the promise of power, of recognition, something about TNE's presence, his smile, felt wrong. There was an undercurrent of manipulation, a hidden agenda that Deku couldn't quite grasp but could feel all the same.

He clenched his fists, torn between the dream of a new life and the gnawing suspicion that accepting this offer might not be the solution he had been hoping for

Deku: (squares his shoulders, trying to sound brave) "I-If that's really possible… then how come I've never heard of GeneSpark Industries before?"

TNE: (smiling knowingly) {Clever as always, Izuku.}"You see, kid, it's a discreet process. If word got out, the media would have a field day with GeneSpark Industries. Certain powerful companies wouldn't take kindly to it… and villains? Well, they'd waste no time trying to exploit it. That's why we keep things quiet — to protect people like you, and the work we do."

Izuku's shoulders slowly relaxed as he exhaled, a long, quiet sigh filling the space between them. His head dipped slightly, absorbing the explanation with a reluctant nod. The logic made sense — secrecy to avoid trouble, to protect people like him. And yet, despite the words fitting together neatly, that uneasy weight in his chest refused to lift.

His eyes, still shimmering faintly from the light of the hologram, flicked downward as doubt crept in. His fingers fidgeted at his sides, small, restless movements betraying the conflict swirling inside him. Though his body appeared to settle, his mind remained tangled, caught between the promise laid out before him and the subtle wrongness he couldn't ignore.

Across from him, the hologram pulsed steadily, casting shifting patterns over the walls, as if urging him forward. The man before him stood calm and composed, but that smile lingered — too practiced, too sharp around the edges — feeding the quiet alarm that continued to gnaw at the back of Izuku's thoughts

TNE: (leans in, voice low and smooth)

"I'll tell you a secret, Izuku — you're not the first quirkless kid we've helped. Even a few pro heroes started with us… and look at them now. You could be even greater — maybe the greatest.(he straightens, setting down a card) But I get it. Big choice. I'll leave my card… just know, chances like this don't come around often."

TNE placed a sleek card on the counter, the same logo shining faintly — a double helix wrapped in electric blue energy that pulsed in steady rhythm. With no further gesture, he turned and strode out of the apartment, the door clicking softly shut behind him.

Left standing alone, Izuku remained frozen, his body rigid as his mind struggled to catch up with everything that had just unfolded. The room felt still, unnervingly so, the faint hum of the hologram now gone, leaving only the distant sounds of the city outside.

Slowly, his gaze dropped to the counter where the card rested. His fingers hesitated for a breath before reaching out, brushing against the cool surface as he lifted it. The logo's glow reflected in his wide, unsettled eyes, its rhythmic pulse almost hypnotic.

Above him, unseen and unnoticed, a small fly clung to the ceiling. Its metallic body gleamed faintly, mechanical lenses shifting and focusing with cold, precise movements as it observed the boy in silence

Deku: (suddenly wide-eyed) "Crap, I forgot to buy the ingredients for Mom!"

As the apartment door closed behind Izuku, his hurried footsteps faded down the hallway. Left in the stillness, the small metallic fly detached itself from the ceiling with a faint, mechanical whir. It drifted through the air, its tiny wings buzzing softly as it made its way toward the boy's room.

The glow from the desk lamp still lingered, casting faint golden light over the cluttered space. The fly hovered silently for a moment, its mechanical lenses focusing and shifting with precise calculation. Then, it zeroed in on the tall bookshelf pressed against the wall — a shelf crammed with notebooks, each one worn and thick with handwritten notes.

With practiced efficiency, the fly glided closer, pausing before a particular row where the spines of the notebooks bore faint marks and numbers. The words Hero Analysis for the Future stood out, scrawled on the covers in familiar, eager handwriting. Without hesitation, a thin, red scanning beam emitted from the fly's body, sweeping over the pages with laser precision. It flipped through each book in rapid succession, absorbing the detailed analyses, strategies, and hero observations that Izuku had poured his heart into over the years.

Page after page, data streamed through the fly's hidden systems. Charts, abilities, weaknesses — every line was captured and transmitted with ruthless efficiency. When the last page had been scanned, the fly paused, its lenses flickering softly as it processed and encrypted the stolen information.

Then, with a soft click, its outer shell shifted. Panels adjusted and colors dulled as it activated its camouflage, blending seamlessly into the dusty corner of the room, indistinguishable from the shadows and clutter.

Far from the apartment, a sleek, black car cruised through the streets, engine purring smoothly beneath the city's dim lights. Inside, the driver's gloved hand lifted, tugging at the edge of a grey wig. With one firm pull, the disguise came free, revealing a bald, gleaming scalp beneath. The thick, curled mustache remained, but the man's true identity was now clear.

Dr. Eggman's sharp grin stretched across his face as the data feed from the fly streamed in, lines of information reflected in his glasses. The car's headlights cut through the night as he sped onward, the stolen knowledge now in his hands — and his plans quietly advancing.

Eggman: (grinning wide) "Sage, get the warehouse ready for a quirk-giving procedure! Load up the illusion protocol — I'll give the word when it's showtime! And send security to lock the place down. Heh… everything's falling into place!"

Sage: (materializing briefly) "As you command, Father." (fades away)
