Walking into the Mayor's Manor, I first reached the guest area where the Mayor was talking with two adventurers that I was familiar with. One was Rivas, the very first guy that I met when I entered this world. Ignoring the part where he killed me in my first few turns, he was actually a great guy, quite capable I must say.
Along with him stood Mira, the girl who helped me with my first hunt with the desert goblins and all.
"Sir Falcon!" (Rivas)
The three of them stood up as they observed me entering the room. I had already introduced myself as Adam's brother and the fact that I was going to need their cooperation with a few things that are going to occur in this city.
I thought it would take some time to convince them, but as soon as the name of 'Adam Wesker: The Phantom' came up, they all agreed within a blink. I guess my influence in this city was much more than I thought it was?
"Please, have a seat."(Mayor)
Moving toward them, I took an empty seat on the left, before the others also sat. And then looking to the left at the mayor, I started with a polite greeting before getting to the main point.
"Good Afternoon. May I know how far have you gone with the that?"(Falcon)
"Ah! We were just talking about that and Rivas has brought the details with him."(Mayor)
Turning to Rivas, I waited for his response to which he passed down a file filled with photos of things that I asked him of.
"We are almost at completion. It should be done by tonight. Though, I doubt we can maintain it for a long time."(Rivas)
A smile formed on my face hearing those words. And then pondering about it for a few more seconds, I began observing the pictures in front of me.
'That' was a collection of monsters that I wanted them to create around the areas near Mirag Town.
Unlike the monster defense event that happened in the beta run, this time the approach was clearing a group of monsters within a 'Zone' that was artificially created by the adventurers.
Though, strictly speaking it was just letting 4 types of monsters grow in different directions of Mirag Town all the while killing every other type. Because the monsters grow exceptionally fast in Zarraf, it was a bit easier to process their growth. However, controlling them would be rather difficult in comparison as well.
Combining with the [Leveling Event] that is going to happen, a Zone clearing Quest with skills and items given to the highest contributor was something that every player would love to have.
Plus this would also increase the market of [Call of the Black Magician!] which in turn will get more players early on, and in turn increase my own immortal forces in this world.
A Win-Win for all of us.
"Sir… you are making a scary expression."(Mira)
"Uhm. Anyways, I came here to check up on that along with a few more things."(Falcon)
It wasn't much but I took out 1000 Gold Coins in front of the mayor before passing it to them. My eyes were a bit serious as I spoke,
"Don't you think it would be better to increase the defense and security within the city? It would help all of us citizens to feel safer when walking during the night."
"…"(Mayor)
"…"(Rivas)
"…"(Mira)
I was actually going to ask them to strengthen the walls of the city since an invasion is going to come from beyond the wasteland, but since there was at least a year before that, I think I should focus on the immediate problems first.
"All right. We will do it. It's not like there is any loss for us anyway."(Mayor)
The mayor was a pretty chill guy, wasn't he? I kind of like him. As for Rivas and Mira, I pondered for a few seconds before deciding it was better to let them do what they were best at. Adventuring and stuff.
"Is there anything else?"(Mayor)
I looked at him for a few seconds before speaking one last bit. It wasn't much of a task, but since I was already here, I think it shouldn't be a problem to give the responsibility to the mayor.
"Can you send a few guards to protect my shop? I won't be there all the time so having someone to protect my employees would be nice."(Falcon)
It was honestly unnecessary since I can use arrays or some sort of skill to do it. But doing it the medieval way, especially in a fantasy setting, has a certain charm to it, I can't let go.
"That should be doable."(Mayor)
I shook the Mayor's hand before leaving. Rivas and Mira greeted me while I waved back at them and then moved outside the room, towards the exit.
My next destination was the areas where the monsters were collected. While I do I trust Rivas, I still wanted to check it out myself.

[IamZero0191: Oh! Make sense. Though the leveling is quite hard after level 10. The experience required is increased but monsters below level 10 now barely give any more experience. Does anyone know a higher level hunting ground?]

[IamZero0191: I started from the Sea City of Light and in search of higher monsters, I drifted to a nearby city called Coast City. Met an NPC named Jasmine near a clinic who helped me tour the city.
