# Chapter 64: Be obedient, let me see!
Reluctantly discarding the five cards in his Hand to the Graveyard, Gaia remained silent and didn't complain, but Ojama Yellow was crying snot and tears profusely. Before the simpleton could wipe his snot on himself, Hayato preemptively threw him into the Graveyard and firmly pressed him down with Gaia's card.
Ignoring the scene where Gaia began chasing Ojama Yellow because his armor got snot on it, Hayato's attention returned to the Field, just in time to hear Weevil smugly explaining his calculations:
"My invincible Cocoon of Evolution has a Defense of a full 2000 points. Besides Summoning a Powerful Monster with 2000 or more ATK, your only other option is to Summon an Ojama Monster that can change a monster's ATK and Defense. And whether you Summon a Powerful Monster or Convert an Ojama Monster, I've accounted for you!"
"Struggle to your heart's content within my meticulous plan, woven like a spider's web, and then be defeated, Hayato!"
Still displaying that terrible Face Art that even Judge Marik wouldn't give a single point for, Weevil grinned sinisterly as he drew a Card, then showed it off proudly to Hayato: "Oh my, I actually drew Pot of Greed! What a shame it wasn't Card of Sanctity, otherwise you could have hitched a ride too."
"Envious? I Activate Pot of Greed, drawing from my Deck—"
Weevil's words were cut short by Hayato: "The moment you Activate Pot of Greed, I will use this Card." Although he really wanted to say he Activated Ash Blossom & Joyous Spring, Hayato's System didn't currently support exchanging for Tuner monsters, so what he Activated was just a Set Card:
"Parasite, You can only Activate this when you Draw a Card outside of the Draw Phase. Each time you Draw a Card outside of the Draw Phase, I can Draw 2 Cards from my Deck." Before Weevil's expression of "Envious? I can draw two cards!" had faded, Hayato also Drew two Cards from his Deck. "If possible, please Draw more Cards~ Insect jerk."
"You bastard!" Weevil gnashed his teeth in anger, his gums itching. But thinking of his Set Card, he suppressed his displeasure and said fiercely, "I'd like to see how long you can keep acting smug! Summon Flying Kamakiri #1!"
Accompanied by the buzzing sound of beating wing casings, a mantis wielding long, sharp blade arms appeared beside Weevil's Cocoon of Evolution, as if joining the hunt. Its scarlet compound eyes lingered on Mystical Elf. Although its predatory preference was for Insects, it didn't mind partaking in some Spirit Meat.

At Weevil's command, Flying Kamakiri #1, which had been eyeing its prey for a long time, instantly turned into a blur invisible to the naked eye. Although Mystical Elf constantly remained vigilant, holding its long sword ready to defend against an Attack, Flying Kamakiri #1's speed was truly too fast. In less than a second, it appeared behind Mystical Elf, piercing him from the back with its blade arm.
As Mystical Elf was Battle Destroyed, Hayato's Life Points (LP) decreased for the first time since the game began.

"Just negligible damage." Because it was merely 100 points of damage, the Impact simulated by the Virtual Projection System was only like a gentle breeze. Hayato didn't even blink. "As Mystical Elf was Destroyed, I have a Set Card to Activate."
"It's this one, Time Machine! I can only Activate it when I take Battle Damage. Draw a Card from my Deck!"
Although it was only 100 points of damage, being able to trade a cannon fodder sword—I mean, Mystical Elf—for a Card in Hand was still a huge profit. Thinking this, Hayato looked at the Card he had just drawn, on which Ojama Black was dancing boastfully, and was somewhat speechless: "Ahahaha, next Turn Aniki will definitely Summon me and use my great Power to take down the opponent's Monster! Oh ho ho ho, Yellow and Green are both Idiots, I'm truly Aniki's Tamashii~"
Meanwhile, Weevil on the other side saw Hayato Draw a Card, and his expression was incredibly excited: "Heh heh, heh ha ha ha! Just as I thought! You bastard, you actually Drew a Card again!"
Just as Hayato was wondering what this jerk was up to now, Weevil ended his Turn: "My Turn ends. Also, the life inside Cocoon of Evolution has been incubating for two Turns now. If you don't hurry up your move, my invincible Ace Card will be making its appearance~"

"My Turn, Draw a Card." Hayato Drew a Card from his Deck. It was Curse of Dragon. As an old partner often appearing together with Gaia The Fierce Knight, this noble 5 Star Dragon Type had a full 2000 ATK, 650 points higher than the eternal god, Mystical Elf.
Since there were no Tributes on the Field that could be Tributed, Hayato couldn't Summon it even if he wanted to. Furthermore, both Flying Kamakiri #1 and Cocoon of Evolution were specialized players. With Ojama Country already Activated on the Field, it was still preferable for him to Summon Ojama Black right now.
Just as Hayato was planning to play the singing and dancing Ojama Black from his Hand, Weevil on the opposite Duel Platform grinned sinisterly: "Heh heh heh, Hayato, you drew two Cards earlier with Parasite, and then used Time Machine to draw one Card, right? And then during your Draw Phase, you drew another Card."
"Being so greedy will bring you utter ruin!" Weevil grinned sinisterly and flipped up the Set Card on his Field. "The moment the number of cards in your Hand reached 4, Activate Trap Card Trap Dustshoot! You have to show me your Hand, and then let me choose one Monster to return to your Deck!"
"Be obedient, let me see!"
Damn, are you sure you're "Insect" Weevil and not "Shady" Weevil? How do you have all sorts of cards?
Since Weevil hadn't taken off his glasses for "Seal Release," Hayato didn't cooperate by shouting "No" either, merely reluctantly placing his Hand in the display area on the Duel Platform.
Here, one must mention the user-friendly design of the Duel Platform. Considering the long distance separating the two players across the Duel Field, the possibility of large Monsters appearing on the Field and blocking the view, and the fact that some Duelists, like Weevil, might be nearsighted, the Duel Platforms constructed by the Manjoume Conglomerate have a dedicated area specifically for displaying Cards.
As Hayato placed the Cards in the display area, Weevil clearly saw the Cards in Hayato's Hand.
"Curse of Dragon, Fairy Meteor Crush, and Time Machine. And surprisingly, there's even an Ojama Black." Weevil looked at Hayato's Cards in Hand. "That's quite dangerous. I didn't expect you to be so capable, being able to draw another Ojama Monster even after Ojama Yellow was sent to the Graveyard. In that case, I can't just let you Summon it."
"Get back into your Deck, that Ojama Black!"
Watching Hayato return the only Monster in his Hand that could be Normal Summoned back into his Deck, Weevil laughed proudly: "Curse of Dragon is a 5 Star Monster, requiring a Tribute to Summon, and the other two Cards don't have the ability to revive Monsters either. You can't do anything! Look forward to being hit by my Flying Kamakiri #1's Direct Attack next Turn!"
This is the first Duel in Duelist Kingdom, and Weevil's Duel is probably the most detailed one. There's another detailed Duel planned later, but the other Stars can just be gained by defeating Minor Characters; those will be written concisely. After that is entering the Castle, becoming one of the Top 8, and challenging Pegasus.
