It was late afternoon. The sky was starting to get dark and the alley behind the school, previously dominated by the 9A gang, now belonged to Damian and his group.
Damian, Jisoo, Minho, the two former leaders of 9A and 9C and a few other trusted guys were gathered, leaning against the dirty walls covered in graffiti.
Damian looked at them.
"Alright. Now that 9A and 9C are ours, it's time to organize this shit." He pointed at the former leader of 9A.
"You're going to keep running your old class, but now you're going to answer to me. Without messing up."
The guy just nodded, already knowing that questioning was not an option.
Then he pointed to the former leader of 9C.
— And you're going to take care of 9C. If you make a mistake, I'll tear you apart myself.
Another nod. The hierarchy was clear.
Minho took a step forward, looking intently.
— There's a problem.
Everyone turned to face him.
— 9D is the strongest, everyone knows that. But that's not all... they already control E and F. If we try to take 9D directly, they might call the two rooms to ambush us. Then it's over.
The atmosphere became heavy. Jisoo clenched her fists.
— So what's the plan, genius?
Minho took a deep breath.
— We call a war.
— War? — Damian repeated, interested.
Minho explained.
— We call the leader of 9D to settle this once and for all. 9B is in charge of A and C. They are in charge of D, E and F. Whoever wins gets the entire 9th grade. Since we are from different blocks and Elementary School doesn't have a fixed territory like High School, no one will interfere. Not even the upper classes.
The guys looked at each other. The idea made sense.
"It has to be a neutral place," added the former leader of 9A.
"The abandoned building behind the gym," suggested Damian.
"Perfect," said Jisoo, excited.
Damian looked at them all.
"That's it then. Tomorrow, someone will take the message to 9D. Let's settle this shit like men. If they have the balls, they'll accept it."
Everyone agreed.
Damian smirked.
"When this is over, the
9th grade will have a single owner. And it will be us."
