Maximilian took the wheel this time.
And he drove like a maniac.
He tore through the city streets like his car was on fire. The tires screeched with every sharp turn, the pedestrians jumped out of the way, and traffic signals were treated like vague suggestions instead of laws. Horns blared, curses were shouted, but Maximilian didn't give a single shit.
Leonardo, on the other hand, gripped the passenger seat like it was a life raft.
"Bro—! What the fuck—! You're gonna kill someone!"
"I don't care!" Maximilian barked. "That bastard is dead!"
Leonardo ducked as they ran a red light and nearly clipped a delivery drone. "I swear, if we get fined for this, my old man's gonna gut me alive!"
"You think I give a shit about fines? My dad's the damn Chief. I'll wipe the ticket with his badge if I have to!"
Leonardo stared at him for a second, wide-eyed, then groaned. "You're insane."
"Yeah? Just wait till I get my hands on Xavier."
