What do you want to be when you grow up?
Chelsea remembered this question from kindergarten, and first grade, and second grade, and so on. Now that she was getting healthier and back in school, she was faced with it again.
"What do you want to be when you grow up?"
As a kid, she wanted to work with books. Be a librarian, or a comic store worker, or something like that. It was different now that she was a halfa. Most of her time outside of school was filled up with training, and once training was over, she would help protect Amity Park from ghosts.
It was during a training session that Chelsea asked Danny about the assignment.
"How are we supposed to answer that question? It seems like our lives have changed for good. How are we supposed to have a future that isn't ghost related? And how do we write the essay? It's not like we can tell Mr. Lancer what we are."
"Just go with what you've said before," Danny said.
"What have you said before?" Chelsea wondered, ignoring his irritation.
"That I wanted to be an astronaut," Danny answered. He flicked a rock with his tail.
"That's way cooler than what I wanted to be," Chelsea said. "But, wait, can't you fly in space as a ghost?"
"Well, yeah, but it's not the same."
"I have a crazy idea. Let's blow off training and go to the moon."
"What? That is crazy!"
"You know it'll be cool…" Chelsea enticed.
"Do you know how far the moon is?" Danny countered. "Even accounting for how fast we fly, it'll take months to get there."
Chelsea deflated. "Oh. I didn't think about that."
"Yeah," Danny said grumpily.
After a moment of silence, Chelsea perked up. "Maybe Wulf can make us a portal!"
"You're crazy," Danny said, but he seemed interested this time.
"Would it still be called a 'moon landing' if we just walked on the surface instead of landing on it?" Chelsea wondered with a hand on her chin.
"What?"
"Well, think about it. We're going to the moon, but is it still a 'moon landing' or just a 'moon walk'?"
"I never said we're going to the moon," Danny said, crossing his arms.
"But you know you want to!" Chelsea teased. "Too bad we can't take Tucker, Sam, and Jacob. They would love it, too. Oooh, Youngblood would love to come!"
"We're not taking anyone to the moon!"
"Aw, come on. It'll be fun!"
After five more minutes of arguing, Chelsea finally convinced Danny to go to the moon. They headed to Danny's house to go through the portal and find Wulf.
Instead, they found eyes.
