Chapter 82 - Not a Good Person

After Ning Rongrong and the other two left, Xiao Yan stopped what he was doing and stood up from the ground, letting out a long sigh. "Acting is really quite difficult."

Although he had indeed gained something from his fight with Zhao Wuji in his Martial Soul True Body state, he could have just sat quietly to contemplate it.

His exaggerated performance earlier was just to fool Ning Rongrong and the others.

Xiao Xue asked with a smile, "Xiao Yan-gege, was my cooperation good just now?"

Xiao Yan chuckled softly and unceremoniously pinched Xiao Xue's delicate little face, laughing, "Xiao Xue's cooperation was naturally flawless."

Although he hadn't told Xiao Xue anything, she quickly understood his intentions through his reactions and was able to perform as she did, truly a meeting of minds.

Xiao Xue asked with confusion, "Why did you let Zhao Wuji, that teacher from Shrek Academy, go? That academy has always been swindling money. If we had attacked in the village just now, even if ten more Zhao Wujis had come, they wouldn't have been our match."

Releasing her delicate little face, Xiao Yan explained, "You said it yourself, attacking in the village. There's no telling how many teachers Shrek Academy has. If they saw us kill their colleague, to save their own lives, they could easily grab a villager or someone who came to sign up as a hostage, and that could easily lead to unforeseen circumstances."

"I didn't think of that," Xiao Xue said, looking down.

Xiao Yan shrugged. "Actually, the main reason I stopped you earlier was because I wanted to wait until the opening ceremony at Shrek Academy. I believe all the teachers will be there that day. Then…"

Xiao Xue clenched her small fists. "Then, when we make our move, we can wipe them all out."

"After today, Shrek Academy won't be able to recruit new students for at least a year. Letting them live another day doesn't really matter."

Xiao Yan admitted he wasn't a good person. For example, the two little girls by his side, each with their own personalities, had somehow ended up in bed with him while they were cultivating.

However, since he'd encountered such an evil cult disguised as an academy, he wouldn't let it continue to exist.

Ripping people off was one thing; ten Gold Soul Coins was just a few months' worth of subsidies for those who came to enroll in Shrek Academy. But there was also a significant chance that this academy would kill its students.

At the age of twelve, so many wonderful things still awaited them, yet they could potentially die under the academy's tutelage.

With the powerful strength of the academy's teachers, those children would likely have died in vain. No one would have stood up for the parents who lost their children.

Just like today, if he and Xiao Xue hadn't intervened, that father and son wouldn't have gotten their registration fee back.

He sighed inwardly. Tomorrow, Shrek Academy would be removed from the ranks.

Xiao Yan glanced around and, with Xiao Xue and Xiao Yi, headed east.

Although he had fought a Soul Saint, the information he had on them was too limited, making it easy to make mistakes in future judgments.

He wanted to see just how strong the Soul Saint sent by the Seven Treasure Glazed Tile Sect was.

On the other side, after walking for a few minutes, Zhao Wuji's face lost its previous composure. He raised his hand to cover his chest, wincing in pain.

"How did that kid train? The power of one palm was so great? I couldn't even defend against it with my first soul skill in my Martial Soul True Body state. And that strange strength… it's made my arm go numb."

Zhao Wuji never imagined that one day he'd be beaten like this by a mere two-ring Soul Grand Master.

"What's most bizarre is..." Zhao Wuji frowned, looking at the pinprick-sized wound on his left arm.

After dispelling his Martial Soul True Body, the wound, originally the size of a peanut, had shrunk slightly.

He still couldn't figure out how Xiao Yan had managed to attack him. He remembered the kid simply raising his hand.

Could raising a hand really possess such power? If he had aimed for my head... Thinking of this, Zhao Wuji couldn't help but touch his head, a wave of fear washing over him. If that's the case, then this Xiao Yan kid is truly terrifying, isn't he?

Leaving the forest, Xiao Yan and the other two arrived silently beside a hidden earthen slope.

Looking at the two men in black, Xiao Yan patted one of them. "Tired of lying down? Want to get up and stretch your legs?"

The sudden voice startled the two men in black. They instinctively turned their heads to look at the speaker, and quickly got up from the grass, taking a few steps back and warily eyeing Xiao Yan.

They had both witnessed Xiao Yan's battle with the Soul Saint's Martial Soul True Body.

Honestly, even with their Soul Power levels, they wouldn't have been able to do it as effortlessly as Xiao Yan did.

Now, Xiao Yan had easily found their hiding place. He'd made no sound during the process, and they hadn't noticed him until he spoke.

The strength he displayed was even greater than that of an ordinary Soul Douluo.

So, even though Xiao Yan only had two Soul Rings, they didn't dare to treat him like an ordinary Soul Grand Master. They were on high alert.

"Young brother, what do you want with us?" one of the tall, black-clad men asked.

Am I really that scary? Xiao Yan shrugged helplessly and gave a wry smile. "Don't be so nervous, I don't mean any harm. I see you're a Soul Saint too, right? Let's spar. You're two against one, that's fine with me."

The two from the Seven Treasure Glazed Tile Sect exchanged glances. Both saw the same thought in the other's eyes –

This young man is a battle maniac!

"Is there a problem?" Xiao Yan touched his nose. He'd already let them team up, yet they still hesitated. What a lack of courage.

"Boss, what should we do?" the short guy asked in a low voice.

There were three people on the other side, and they had approached silently. It was clear their strength was formidable.

Ling Feng also understood the situation and after some thought, he apologized, "I'm afraid I'll disappoint you, young friend. I am an Agile Attack Type Soul Saint, with a soul power level of only seventy-two. My strength is far inferior to the Soul Saint you just faced."

"Agile Attack Type Soul Saint?" Xiao Yan considered this for a moment, then waved his hand. "That doesn't matter. I've heard that Agile Attack Type soul masters are incredibly fast. Let's just see how fast you are."

Seeing that Xiao Yan was eager to compete, Ling Feng knew it was hard to refuse. "How do you propose we do this?"

Xiao Yan raised his hand and activated his index finger, the Shangyang Sword. Invisible sword energy swept across the ground, instantly drawing a line one foot in front of him.

"We'll use this line as the boundary. I'll strike three times in a row from here. You stand fifty meters away. If you can dodge my three strikes and reach the boundary, you win. How about that?"
