C002 — NEW IDENTITY
Weeks passed by in a blur as Zayne got accustomed to his new life. But let's just say, it did not go well.
Let's start with his name. Despite getting the same name as his previous life, Zayne was more worried when he learned of his family name. He was now Zayne Morningstar. It was the same name as the final boss from a web novel he was about to read.
His current elder sister and also the heir of the House of Morningstar was Ava Morningstar, the same name as the protagonist of the web novel. His title as the Main Villain further affirmed his thoughts.
But fortunately, the actual villain from the web novel was supposed to be trash. It was his jealousy that led him astray. But unfortunately, Zayne did not even start with the web novel, so he had no clue what to expect.
Thus, for the time being, Zayne put these thoughts at the back of his mind.
Moving back to his new life, the blonde beauty who picked him up was the current Mistress of the House of Morningstar, Victoria Morningstar. She was now his mother, foster mother to be more accurate.
The House of Morningstar was a Barony in the region of Latveria, a remnant of the ancient Kingdom of Latveria. After its destruction, the kingdom split into various territories ruled by the then-noble families. Due to the splitting, many lost support of the royal family, leading to their downfall. Some rose while some fell.
The House of Morningstar got reduced to a mere Barony from its initial County status due to the reckless decisions of the previous heads.
Currently, the House of Morningstar only has three members, including Zayne, along with two maids. It was barely surviving on its alliance with a nearby county. But despite that, threats from nearby baronies and viscounties persisted.
But what surprised Zayne was that despite the western settings in nobilities and names, the world followed eastern cultivation instead of the supposed Sword & Magic theme.
The three main types of cultivation in this world were Qi Cultivation, Spirit Cultivation and Body Cultivation. Most people followed Qi Cultivation since it was much easier and accessible than the other two.
Everyone in the House of Morningstar, including the couple of dozen soldiers, followed the path of Qi Cultivation. But it was quite clear to Zayne that they were still weak compared to other territories.
With all this knowledge, Zayne started to adapt to his new family. His sister, Ava, was a year older than him, so he got to spend a lot of time with her. Despite his mother being the mistress, she was mostly free, as there was nothing of importance happening in the poor barony.
So, she would bathe them, dress them and feed them whenever she could. Other times, she would leave it to the maids.
And Zayne must say, both of the maids were quite beautiful. The head maid, Lily, was blonde like his mother, but her type of beauty was completely different. His mother was the gentle MILF beauty, but Lily was the innocent and sweet older sister kind of beauty.
The second maid was Emma. Unlike the rest, she had black hair like Zayne, which was usually kept in a double ponytail. She was currently six and was quite mischievous, but still took her training seriously.

So, for now, he simply tried to increase the bond between everyone. Zayne loved petting her. Despite her having a human body, Zayne felt like he was raising a cute pet.
During these years, he also started learning about cultivation. He used the library but mostly relied on the Primordial Chaos Scripture. From it, he learned the realms of cultivation.
