Chapter 52 - [52] The Nature of the Uchiha

"Stop!""Uchiha Yuhara, what are you doing?""Let him go, now!"

Yuhara's swift takedown of Uchiha Yatsushiro and his grip around Uchiha Hirano's neck instantly sparked outrage among Uchiha Fugaku's supporters.

Many of them quickly stood up and surrounded Yuhara. Their scarlet Sharingan eyes flickered in the dim light of the shrine, creating an eerie atmosphere.

As they moved, the tension inside the shrine thickened, like a powder keg on the verge of explosion.

Uchiha Fugaku furrowed his brow. Although Yuhara's impeachment against him did make him feel dissatisfied, he was equally displeased with the reckless actions of Uchiha Yatsushiro and Uchiha Hirano.

Their impulsive behavior, while seeming to protect him, actually worsened his situation. Yet, he couldn't openly blame them for it.

The worst part was that not only did their attack have no effect, but they also lost embarrassingly, stirring up even more chaos.

This outcome gave Uchiha Fugaku a massive headache. As unhappy as he was, he still had to protect those who supported him.

But just as he was about to stand up, he noticed that Shisui and the moderates had already risen. Not just them—the hardliners also stood up!Their Sharingan eyes were glowing, and their gazes locked firmly onto his supporters, their chakra beginning to surge.

"This…"

Uchiha Fugaku was stunned by the sight, then fell silent once again.

He knew that Yuhara was close to both the moderates and the hardliners, and that he had their support to stand up and call for his impeachment.

In his mind, Yuhara was probably just a puppet pushed to the front. If he succeeded, the two factions would reap the benefits. If he failed, it wouldn't affect them much.

But now, it seemed the situation was different from what he had imagined. He never expected the two factions to support Yuhara so fiercely.

This wasn't just pushing him to the front; it was total backing! Not only was Uchiha Fugaku stunned—even his supporters were caught off guard, realizing the danger they were now in.

"Relax, I'll let him go."

Yuhara remained indifferent. To him, it didn't matter whether these people attacked or not, and he had no intention of escalating things further.

Teaching those reckless fools a lesson was enough. If he really caused fatalities, the consequences would be different.

Watching Uchiha Hirano's face turn slightly purple, Yuhara gently loosened his grip. Hirano immediately started gasping for air, clutching his throat.

His eyes still held anger, but beneath that rage, there was now a hint of fear.

Yuhara didn't bother with him. He turned his gaze to Shisui and smiled.

"Shisui, it's fine. Lead everyone back to their seats. This is a clan meeting, not a battlefield."

"Everyone, step back. Yuhara is right—this is a clan meeting, not a battlefield," Uchiha Fugaku added, regaining his composure. Though he seemed a bit weary, he still spoke up.

"Yatsushiro, Hirano, go get yourselves treated. For the next month, you are not allowed to leave your homes. Reflect on your behavior; you've gone too far."

"Understood, Clan Leader," Yatsushiro and Hirano responded reluctantly. Though clearly unhappy, they nodded obediently given the circumstances.

They weren't stupid. They knew full well the kind of trouble their actions had caused.Their intentions were clear—they wanted to protect the clan leader's prestige. They just didn't expect Yuhara, a fifteen-year-old, to be so terrifyingly strong.

Three-Tomoe Sharingan and Two-Tomoe Sharingan were worlds apart, but ninja battles were never just about eye power.

Chakra reserves, combat experience, tactics, and information—these are the real determinants of victory.

Otherwise, how could non-Uchiha shinobi ever hope to defeat the Uchiha in battle?

But the harsh truth slapped them in the face. Yuhara might only be fifteen, but he was beyond their reach.

Supporting each other and lowering their heads, the two quickly left the room.

At that moment, everyone else returned to their seats. The shrine returned to its previous calm, as if the conflict had never happened.

But even if Fugaku's supporters still resented Yuhara, there was a subtle shift in how they looked at him.

The Uchiha clan had always revered strength. Yuhara's earlier display, although brief, was against strong opponents.

He had handled them with ease, and even those who disapproved couldn't help but feel a twinge of respect.

This newfound respect led them to silence, prompting them to genuinely listen to Yuhara's reason for calling for Fugaku's impeachment.

"Yuhara, I'm sorry for what happened earlier. I hope you don't take it to heart; they were just a bit overzealous."

Uchiha Fugaku sighed slightly, then looked at Yuhara and spoke sincerely.

"Now that they're gone, let's continue the clan meeting. You said you want to impeach me. I believe I've served diligently as clan leader.I may not have achieved great things, but I've done nothing to betray the clan.If you want to impeach me, you must have a valid reason. So tell me, in what way have I failed as a clan leader?"

Uchiha Fugaku's tone was calm and measured, displaying the demeanor of a leader.

This attitude somewhat surprised Yuhara. He had imagined Fugaku would react with hysteria or rage.

But this composed and steady demeanor caught Yuhara off guard.

Still, no matter Fugaku's attitude, Yuhara knew he had to press forward with today's plan.

He looked seriously at Uchiha Fugaku, finally nodding before shaking his head.

"There's no denying that Clan Leader Fugaku has been diligent in his role. In normal times, perhaps you would have been an outstanding leader."

"But the situation the Uchiha face now, and the state of Konoha's internal affairs…This is far from normal times!"
