An celestial gate that radiated the must of endless stars tore through the world behind Edward who was barely standing due to exhaustion. Although he was indeed immediately recovered to 50% of pristine condition, he was still noticeably too exhausted to even breath. However he managed to forcefully make Johnathan, and barely Rayna drink a basic HP potion. Even though he isn't sure of the capabilities of the potion, he was praying they would work.
Edward turned, gazing into the now opened rift in the air behind him. Watching as a man, Ludwig, stepped right through. His expression was the same as he had remembered, the cold threatening expression that surprisingly made Edward feel more proud to be able to watch someone from the Azure Family.
Indeed the Azure Family is the most influential family in the world, with the family not really consisting of biological relatives, but instead, only a small handful are purebloods, and the other Azure family members are adopted. These "adopted" step Azures are chosen by random, but are mainly handpicked by the head of the family of that time. The well known fact is that most of the step Azures came from The Consortium, Memoir Conglomerate (although rarely), the Jurisdiction Court, and Alsaia Syndicate.
But the one thing Edward found quite peculiar is that, how come Ludwig was able to roam free, as no Azure family members are allowed to leave the manor that is located in an unknown Capital. Yet judging off of the ever-intimidating gaze by Ludwig, he didn't bother asking to prevent any scuffle.
Ludwig made an annoyed sigh, clutching his forehead like his head is about to combust out of sheer irritation, but he simply pushed his hair back, speaking in a low but stern voice, "To think you're the Truth Seeker. How surprising."
Edward felt a sense of even more pride due to being acknowledged by Ludwig himself, but when he tried to speak back by asking him a question, he found himself unable to speak due to him now being able to sense even further than the human survival instincts, and can now sense the influx of someone else if they focus hard enough.
This dude has INSANE influx, why does it feel like I'm watching an Ancient Crucible themselves before me? Now I'm envying Satoya for being able to speak casually to him.. wait does he even talk to him?
"To think you were capable of becoming a Truth Seeker. How odd." Ludwig made a slight nod of acknowledgement, further boosting Edward's sense of pride.
Unbeknownst to the mortals on the surface of the 2nd Capital. An luminous grey star fell, tearing through the skies. The sky that was once dancing with blue and puffed eloquent clouds was known getting overshadowed by the greatness of this star that dared to descend into the world.
The grey star was visible to even Ludwig, Edward and anyone still conscious, even including a short white haired girl sitting atop a building, notebook gently placed on her lap, watching as the beautiful star fell through the clouds. Isaac recognized the falling object and faced to Shizune and Satoya who were both unconscious, but made a shrug before jumping from the window. How high was the building? He didn't know, yet curiosity was quite the curse of you are a muscle headed guy.
Ludwig noticed the falling object, slowly walking to a window and gazing toward it with a grim expression. He spoke, unsheathing his sword, a thought rushing through his head. A thought similar to Edward, maybe due to common knowledge or something universal.
A star descension. According to history, a colored star descending marked the means of… Edward quivered in uneasiness upon the thought.
Throughout history, there are notable events that are still talked about today, comparable to that of the disasters. Considering disasters usually last for up to 15-50 years, with the longest one being the 9th disaster that span over 249 years due to the disaster not finding the perfect Cataclysm candidate.
But the most concerning of these events are ones labelled as a "Descending star." The Star is referred to as the Ancient Crucibles themselves, however, only 2 known Star descensions taking place.
So this must mean that this is the 3rd time, one of the great stars of the skies descended upon the world.
A descension of an Ancient Crucible, however. Who exactly is choosing to descend?
Although the time of this was during the afternoon, the grey star began to radiate such a ludicrous amount of light that in that moment, it forced everyone in the entire Capital, including those from the counties of others to go unconscious from the brightness and intensity of the presence pulsating from the star.
Amidst this blinding light, was a figure. Was it human? No one could know, due to the unconsciousness of all that stood near this beautiful entity.
The Condescending Memoir had decided to descend upon this solemn flawed world.
The figure's body was composed of nothing but indecipherable languages and jumbled letters. The head was an open notebook, with words that spelled nothing but the word "Flaw."
The notebook headed entity gracefully turned. In all honesty, no one was able to even comprehend what was happening except for several people in areas except the 2nd Capital and the countries of nearby Capitals. Yet this graceful being moved a motion that made it seem like it gave off a trail of holographic arms.
An black ink-like liquid spewed from the notebook, writing out
.. That Scribe has grown desperate with every draft..
… The last draft couldn't get past chapter 84..
....How unfortunate...
An bandaged spear was thrown from an unknown distance, landing a couple feet away from the celestial being. The notebook headed elegant entity tilted its open notebook up, then it closed.
Upon the closure of the notebook, the blinding light and everyone in the radius went back to normal. People jolted awake perplexed by the odd occasion.
Within the location of Satoya and Shizune, Satoya was awake. Unfortunately, he was in a state of uneasiness, gripping the katana with his life on the line. Gradually taking minor steps of retreat.
In front of him, the cause of this uneasiness was a blonde haired man in a lab coat. The hair was riddled in what he assumed to be permanent blood stains, and the lab coat reeked of the disgusting scent of blood, and the smell of rotting flesh.
The blonde haired man was indifferent, his left hand in his lab coat's pocket, the other arm was up in a mock surrender. Every step he took Satoya knew for certain that although this man wasn't nearly as powerful as someone like Argoreas, the Executioner of The Jurisdiction Court, there was an ungodly amount of insanity coming from the man.
The man laughed, the laughter confirmed the insanity, however this wasn't really the insanity that typical insane people who were mentally unfiltered had, but instead this was controlled insanity. Satoya couldn't really justify which was better, as insanity is insanity, but this man seemed.. So inhuman?
The man calmly inserted his other hand in his lab coat's pocket. He began to speak, the voice of his was sinister and malicious.
"You see, those odd journalists of the Memoir Conglomerate were here for me. As much as I like to make Receurdos my 2nd assistant, you seem oddly familiar, which means."
A sigh came out after the man spoke. "I could use a Truth Seeker as an assistant, always tried seeing what that Truth those Truth Seekers were yearning for. Yet again, Yurina never became one, which I find odd.." The man spoke Yurina as if that name was familiar to Satoya.
"And of course, I find it quite hilarious that an Ancient Crucible, like The Condescending Memoir itself decided to branch itself to descend here personally."
