Min-ho coughed several times, then he pushed the pile of books off him.
He found he was still holding onto the book that... started this?
He shook his head, then turned his sights to the others. His eyes widened and his heart almost jumped out of his chest when he saw an enormous stone head in front of him.
His Z-Eye zoomed in, seemingly intrigued.
It was a statue of a baby with a halo above its head. But it wasn't the sudden sight of the statue that frightened him, but the fact that its eyes and mouth were hollowed, like someone had gouged it out.
And there was a trail of a dried black substance lining down its eyes. Almost like the baby was crying blood.
The sight sent shivers rattling up Min-ho's spine, causing him to freeze in place.
"Min-ho?" Jang-book called out, his voice laced with deep caution. He didn't know if the statue would awaken if he called too loudly. And frankly, he didn't want to find out.
"I... I uh..." Min-ho slowly cleared his throat. "I'm okay."
