Chapter 22 - Tang San Regrets and Loves Her Mischief

[Ding! A penalty of 20,000 points has been applied to Tang San, and two black rewards have been received.]

[Ding! Gained 5 points of soul power, raising soul power to level 35!]

[Ding! All soul bone ages have been increased by 10,000 years!]

Xiao Ye Xuan furrowed his brows as he had just returned from outside and suddenly received a reward of 20,000 points? He was stunned.

He had allowed Tang San to rest at home today, thinking she would have a peaceful day. So why did he receive such a reward directly?

This made Xiao Ye Xuan confused. He had no idea what Tang San had been doing while he was away.

Xiao Ye Xuan had originally planned to give Tang San a day of rest before giving her a thorough lesson after that. But now, he was worried about Tang San's mental state. Had she really gone astray?

He hurried home, only to find Tang San lying on the bed, with an expression full of despair.

When Xiao Ye Xuan returned, the sound made Tang San's keen senses detect him immediately. She quickly scrambled out of bed and crawled towards him like a little animal.

Tang San's appearance seemed almost the same as when Xiao Ye Xuan had left—her twin ponytails neatly tied, and her tail properly attached. However, upon closer inspection, Xiao Ye Xuan noticed something odd: the ponytails were too perfect, almost as if the hair had been measured to make sure both were exactly the same size. It was not something Xiao Ye Xuan could have done, as he had never been able to make the two ponytails perfectly balanced.

Looking at the tail behind Tang San, he noticed something off—it seemed a little too smooth, and it was clear she had secretly trimmed it while he was away.

It was as if Tang San had been trying to cover something up. But why, after returning, did she receive such a penalty?

Xiao Ye Xuan thought about it but couldn't figure it out. He had done quite a few things to Tang San after all. If she was being punished, so be it. As long as it brought benefits to Xiao Ye Xuan, that was enough.

At that moment, Tang San crawled up to him, acting as though nothing had happened.

Xiao Ye Xuan couldn't help but smile at Tang San's resilience. She was good at self-soothing; a small setback wasn't enough to defeat her.

Now that she was here to serve him, Xiao Ye Xuan thought, why would he refuse?

"Meow~! Master, you're back!"Tang San called out in front of Xiao Ye Xuan, remembering to say "Master" and "Meow~" as always.

Xiao Ye Xuan didn't bring up what he had discovered but reached out and patted Tang San's head.

Just as he was about to speak, he sniffed the air and noticed a strange scent in the room.

First, he smelled a strong herbal fragrance, one that seemed deliberately intended to mask something else.

Curious, Xiao Ye Xuan thought to himself: what could Tang San be trying to hide?

Perhaps this was the cause of her breakdown earlier.

As the master of the Ice and Fire Yin Yang Eye, Xiao Ye Xuan was sensitive to changes in the environment, even the smallest traces. No matter how well Tang San cleaned up, there were always tiny remnants left behind.

It wasn't long before he found the source of the smell—an odd, sea-like scent.

The realization hit him like a bolt of lightning: so this was what he had been trying to track down. Now it made sense.

No wonder Tang San had been trying so hard to cover it up.

Grinning mischievously, Xiao Ye Xuan pointed at the sticky substance on Tang San's skirt and said:

"Little San, did Aunt Flo come? Hahaha!"

Tang San's face flushed red, like a ripe apple.

But she was secretly relieved—it wasn't Aunt Flo; it was something she had just done earlier… as long as it wasn't discovered, everything would be fine.

She quickly put on a guilty expression and apologized:

"Meow~! I'm sorry, Master, I got the bed dirty, meow~! I'll go clean it up right away, meow~!"

She started to pull at the bed sheets, trying to clean up the mess.

Xiao Ye Xuan shook his head and said, "Little San, I didn't realize it was that time for you. I guess I didn't consider it earlier. You should rest; women's issues can be painful."

It was clear that Xiao Ye Xuan hadn't punished Tang San today, which had earned him two black rewards. He had thought something else had happened, but it turned out to be this.

Tang San had been suffering because of Xiao Ye Xuan's actions, and yet, Xiao Ye Xuan remained unaware of the deeper reason. Of course, Tang San was secretly resentful of him.

But Tang San didn't care about Aunt Flo at the moment; she just wanted to cover up the bad things she had done.

Following Xiao Ye Xuan's words, Tang San showed a pained expression and said:

"Meow~! Master, meow~! There's no problem. Even if I get hurt, I'll still serve you, meow~!"

If anyone else heard this, they would surely admire Tang San for her dedication. But Xiao Ye Xuan knew better. He knew that when Tang San said something like this, it wasn't out of kindness. She had ulterior motives, and deep inside, she wanted to push him away.

Xiao Ye Xuan just smiled, giving her a pat on the behind, and said:

"Alright, if you're feeling uncomfortable, then rest. I don't know much about women's matters, but tomorrow, I'll take you to the nearby town. We don't want anything to happen to your health."

He was genuinely concerned about Tang San's health. If something happened to her, how could they continue their games? He wanted her to be in good condition, to remain his little plaything.

Upon hearing this, Tang San's expression softened. She could leave?

The prospect of leaving this place thrilled her. If she could escape, she would be free!

But then, Tang San's mood fell. She realized she didn't have the ability to escape. How could she, a mere woman, escape from someone as powerful as Xiao Ye Xuan, a poison Douluo who could easily defeat her?

That's when she thought of the poison.

If she hadn't delayed during the day or wasted time on her own mischief, she might have found the poison by now.

With that poison, even if she couldn't kill Xiao Ye Xuan, she could at least make him temporarily unable to deal with her.

And if Xiao Ye Xuan took her outside, her chances of escaping would be higher.

But she hadn't found the poison—no, she hadn't even tried. She had been distracted by so many other things.

That was Tang San's biggest regret.

She really wished she could go back and slap herself for her reckless behavior, for letting her hands get the better of her!

If she had the poison, her chances of escaping would have been 50%. But now, she had missed that opportunity.

Tang San couldn't help but feel regretful.

But soon, she calmed herself down.

"Hmph! Who do you think I am?" she thought to herself.

She had lived two lives, and her skills and abilities were anything but ordinary.

Even without poison, Tang San knew she still had a small chance of escaping.

A small chance was enough for Tang San.

Later, Xiao Ye Xuan didn't let Tang San serve him and lay down to sleep instead.

But Tang San, her hands having been too mischievous, couldn't sleep and was restless, thinking about her escape plan.

She had come up with a better strategy now, and her chances of success had increased.

But despite her plans, she realized she also felt a strange attachment to Xiao Ye Xuan.

Though she hated him, she couldn't deny that he was no ordinary man.

Every day, she had served him at least ten times. What kind of man could be so impressive? Tang San had only been a little mischievous, but it made her feel dizzy.

This thought made her more and more intrigued.

As she lay awake, thinking about Xiao Ye Xuan, Tang San realized she was drawn to him.

And once she escaped, she would come back to tie him up and make him her toy.

"If he doesn't listen, I'll make him wear a big fox tail," she thought, excited by the idea.

The more she thought about it, the more excited she became. She couldn't sleep.

When she finally opened her eyes, she saw the cold room.

Her thoughts were all fantasies, not real plans.

With a dazed and sore head, Tang San realized that if she didn't sleep soon, her chances of escaping tomorrow would decrease.

Reluctantly, she tried to calm herself down and sleep, but her mind was too chaotic.

Eventually, she found herself wandering to the bathroom, thinking that maybe one last mischievous act would help her fall asleep.
