The cultists were bound with living coral that responded to Radji's requests, their spirit-forged weapons now silent and powerless on the chamber floor. But when Saguna approached the lead woman to demand answers, she simply stared at him with the flat expression of someone who had already decided to die rather than speak.
"Where is the Breathless One?" he asked.
Silence.
"How many other sites are there?"
The woman's lips curved into a cold smile, but she said nothing.
Osa tried a gentler approach, extending his healing abilities to soothe the prisoners' injuries. Most of them flinched away from his touch, and those who didn't simply closed their eyes and refused to acknowledge his presence.
"They're not going to tell us anything," Radji observed after twenty minutes of futile questioning. "Whatever conditioning they've undergone, it's absolute."
