She studied his expression for a while before she responded—her response leaving Liam in a little bit of confusion.
"He tried to woo me with some really sweet words about himself, but I didn't really understand what he meant until just now."
Liam was curious about what she wanted to say because she was clearly just beating around the bush with her words, and it didn't make any sense to Liam, but he didn't ask any further questions about it.
"I see... so flowing back to the reason we're all here. Why didn't you just request for him to aid your business, with the way he spoke to you?"
"I undoubtedly think he would actually pour in a huge sum of money just to help you out in any way he can, so why did Mary tell me about you?"
