Everyone was on their knees, weeping. Prince Orion, too, had fallen, sobbing like a child—though he couldn't understand why. All he knew was the overwhelming feeling of bliss. Utter happiness surged through him, unprovoked, inexplicable.
Seraphyx looked around. A small, serene smile formed on his lips. His expression radiated quiet joy.
"Looks like I was gone too long this time... enough for all these emotions to pile up," Seraphyx whispered to himself. He raised his hands gracefully, tracing intricate patterns into the air. A Cryo circle formed between his palms, delicate symbols resembling his dragon form blooming within it.
"My Liege... please have mercy on them," he murmured.
Elemental energy began to gather in the air, lifting the Cryo circle skyward. From it, a grand dragon avatar emerged—soaring high, its celestial form gliding over the nation. As it passed, its body gently disintegrated into flurries of snow.
The snow drifted down, soft and glowing, touching the people and soothing their hearts. Yet none dared rise. They remained kneeling in reverence, heads bowed.
"Lord Seraphyx," King Orion finally spoke, eyes still lowered, "I apologize for the pitiful state in which you found us."
"It's fine," Seraphyx replied softly, tugging the robe around himself. "I never expected my children to contain their emotions in my presence." He tilted his head, voice tinged with amusement. "But for how long are you going to make your mother watch you grovel? Has the royal family forgotten their rituals?"
King Orion rose to his feet and signaled the knights. They promptly formed an escort around Seraphyx and led him into the Royal Chambers.
"Mother... was it truly Lord Seraphyx?" Prince Orion asked hesitantly. "No, it must have been him. No one else could embody the Cryo Sovereign like that divine being…"
"This is not the time for chatter, my son," Queen Minerva said firmly. "According to the rituals, when Lord Seraphyx descends into our domain, all events must be suspended. The royal family must be present to serve him—first, and foremost." She sighed, brushing her fingers against her temple. "That means... your coronation will be postponed for another year."
The royal knights escorted the Queen and Prince Orion to the Prince's chambers.
"The Cryo Sovereign Seraphyx was wounded during the Archon War," Minerva said quietly, voice thick with emotion. "He fled to Dragonspine, where he created the Sanctuary of Arian. From there, he gave life to the first of the Arians, and so... in our hearts, he holds the reverence of a mother."
She paused, tears spilling down her cheeks. "Though he is the Cryo Sovereign, he slumbers for decades—conserving his energy, healing from the wounds left by that treacherous God of Contracts... Morax." Her smile trembled. "But now, after forty-five long years, Lord Seraphyx walks among us again. How could we not weep with joy? Our mother has returned."
"I have heard about these in stories already, But I still can't understand how he was defeated in the battle against the God of Contracts." Orion asked his mother with great curiosity.
"Seraphyx is the Cryo Sovereign But the title of the Cryo Sovereign has been passed down to him, The True Authority of the Sovereign Dragon, Lord Seraphyx 's True power hasn't been inherited since The Heavenly principles have siezed it to create the divine throne of Some God. He has only been recovering from those great wounds because We have provided him our love and faith." Minerva said as she chose some clothes from the Wardrobe for the Prince.
"Orion I need you to understand that Lord Seraphyx doesn't like treated with high respect in private. He always wants us to treat him like a mother after all."
"Yes Mother I understand."Orion said,"Umm Mother these are very plain clothes, Are you sure these are the ones I have to wear?"
In most refined room of The Castle lies the Chamber of Lord Seraphyx, it has his own Throne and Bed, the Ornaments there are so beautiful and Elegant that those in the Prince chamber might as well seems like Peasant 's robe, the candles lit and made the place filled with light as Lord Seraphyx with the King walked in.
Seraphyx's divine Aura vanishes when he entered the private quaters and sat down on his bed.
"Why are you still Standing? Sit next to me. You three." Seraphyx said to King Orion and The two knights. "take off your Armours, this is my chambers after all. How can you wear them here?"
The Guards took off their Armour in an instance, The King sat next to Seraphyx as he pulled King Orion in his embrace and hugged him, Patting his head." You have grown so much my son, last time I saw you, you were just 5."
King Orion closed his eyes and sighed,"It's been 45 years mother, Why didn't you come back sooner?"
Seraphyx pulled both knights with his other hands to his lap and patted their heads too.
"You both too, Sirus and Melus."
Surprised both of them yelp as he grabbed them and put them on his lap."You know us mother? But we are just Knights of no status."
He giggles and continued patting them," Mother keeps watch on all her children weather they know it or not. I have always been watching you. You married Lina right? She is such a beautiful and polite girl. I worried that she would get mistreated in the society when she grows up but when she married you, Sirius, I was so in relief."
As they were chatting, Prince Orion and Queen Minerva entered the room. Without waiting for permission, they sat on the bed beside Seraphyx. Prince Orion's face was brushed with nervousness, his usual composure subdued.
Minerva leaned forward, wrapping her arms around Seraphyx from behind, her voice soft with relief.
"I'm so glad you're here, Mother."
For the next hour, they remained in their mother's embrace—sharing stories, laughter, and catching up on all that had unfolded in their lives. The room, though grand in stature, felt warm and small, filled only with their closeness and Seraphyx's quiet, comforting aura.

Meanwhile, beyond the palace walls...
The streets of Arian Core bustled with excitement.
"Did you hear? The Cryo Sovereign has descended!" a fruit vendor exclaimed, handing over an apple. "They say Lord Seraphyx appeared during Prince Orion's coronation and is staying at the Royal Castle right now!"
His friend chuckled, shaking his head.
"You just heard? That's all anyone's been talking about since afternoon! That Cryo Dragon Avatar soaring through the skies above the capital? And that divine aura spilling from the Royal Castle? Dead giveaway."
Nearby, an old man with silver hair and soft eyes spoke to no one in particular.
"I wish to meet Mother again…" he murmured. "The last time Seraphyx descended, he wandered the capital for an entire year—meeting anyone he crossed paths with, embracing us like his own. Talking with him was like speaking to the stars."
"But Grandpa," a small boy piped up, clutching his grandfather's hand, "didn't you say Mother always watches over us?"
The old man smiled gently.
"He does. Always. But nothing compares to meeting him in person. His beauty is beyond mortal measure, and when he looks at you… it's like the world forgets every wrong it ever did to you."
---
In a quiet village at the kingdom's edge…
"Mom! Let's go to the capital!" a young girl said, tugging at her mother's sleeve. "The temple candles lit up by themselves! That means Lord Seraphyx really returned! The divine energy is in the air again!"
Her mother smiled, wiping flour from her hands.
"When your father returns, we'll prepare the trip. If we're lucky, we may be the first in our family to ever lay eyes on the Divine Mother."
---
Back in the royal chambers…
"Alright, enough!" Seraphyx suddenly declared, a playful firmness in his voice. "You can't cling to me all day—I'll spoil you rotten if I let you!"
He gently pushed away the hands latched to his robes and his hands, laughing lightly.
"We still have a ceremony to prepare for. Now up, up, all of you! We can have cuddles after the world knows I've returned."
