Hearing his friends' words, Ark's face turned red with annoyance. He stared at them with narrowed eyes. "What did you say?! Are you guys looking down on me?! Just wait and see! When I grow up, I'll definitely be the greatest knight in history! Or an S-Rank Adventurer!" he exclaimed with full confidence.
"The greatest knight in history? An S-Rank Adventurer? Ahahahaha! You, Ark? Seriously!" Damar taunted, his voice full of laughter, making his friends smile.
"Come on, stop teasing Ark. Maybe he could really be the greatest knight in history or an S-Rank Adventurer in the future," Lian said, trying to calm the atmosphere while smiling and chuckling to hold back his laughter.
Damar who heard that answered him, "Yes, yes sorry sorry. But enough talking about that. Now what else do we want to play?" he asked when they had just arrived at the meadow.
Aris raised his hand excitedly. "How about we play that game again?"
All the children exchanged glances for a moment before finally shouting in unison, "Okay!!"
They started playing excitedly, the sound of laughter and happy shouts filling the air. Time passed, and soon, the sun began to set, creating a sky that turned purple, with beautiful red and orange hues
"It's getting late, we better go home soon. I'll get mad at my mom if I'm late again," Tian said, his voice a little anxious.
"Scared of getting mad? But from what I see, your face looks so excited, Tian!" Ark asked, frowning curiously.
"Ahaha, is that so? Well, just wait, tomorrow you'll definitely find out," Tian said with a mysterious smile.
"Halah-halah, you probably want to buy another goat, right Tian?" Lian said, looking at Tian with mischievous eyes.
"Ehh, how did you know?" Tian asked in confusion, his eyes round.
"Oi oi oi, no matter how you look at it, it's obvious. You're the one who suddenly hunted Giant Boar, and seeing your expression right now, it must be because you want to buy another goat!" Aris explained, laughing out loud.
"ahaha tian you are very easy to read" said Damar
"ehh, ahh yes yes that's right Tian you are very easy to read" said Ark who was actually surprised only he didn't know
"is that so hehehehe, okay let's go home" said Tian
"Okay, see you tomorrow!" said Lian, waving her hand.
The other children also began to disperse, walking towards their respective homes. Tian jogged through the village streets that were starting to get quiet, towards his simple house. Arriving in front of the door, he pushed it lightly and entered.
"I'm home, Mom!" he exclaimed.
From the kitchen, his mother who was preparing dinner turned around with a gentle smile. "Oh, Tian! You're home?"
Tian walked to the back of the house, about to tie up his goat. "Yes, Mom. Where's Dad?" he asked while tying the goat's rope to a wooden pole.
His mother was busy stirring the soup in the pot again. "Your father just left for Mr. Brian's farm."
Tian's eyes widened, surprised to hear the news. "Huh?! Why didn't Dad wait for me?" he asked in a disappointed tone, his voice slightly raised.
His mother chuckled. "Okay, okay. If you want to catch up, hurry up and leave before it's too late."
Tian immediately jogged to the front of the house. "Yes, yes! I'll go first, Mom!" he exclaimed.
His mother just shook her head with a smile, seeing her excited son. "Be careful on the road, Tian!" she shouted from the kitchen, her voice full of affection, reminding Tian to always be alert.
"Hello, Uncle! Is Dad there?" Tian asked excitedly when he arrived at the goat farm filled with the bleating sounds of goats roaming around.
"Oh, Tian! Are you looking for your father? He's inside," replied one of the workers with a big smile.
"Thank you, Uncle!" Tian said happily, then walked away towards the inside of the farm.
"Dad!" Tian called out in a cheerful voice.
"Tian! You're here!" his father exclaimed, who was chatting with Mr. Brian. "Okay, you can choose the goat you want first. The one with the yellow mark on its ear is a female goat."
"Yes, Dad. I'll take a look first," Tian replied, his face beaming with curiosity.
With steady steps, Tian began to explore the farm. He paused for a moment, fascinated by the cute goats. "Hmm, this one looks adorable," he mumbled softly while stroking the goat's white head.
"This one looks really big, I'll choose you." Tian whispered happily
However, his thoughts wandered when he saw many other goats that also looked healthy.
"Why don't I just buy a few more? I should have enough money, right?" he said in his heart
"Um, Dad. Can I buy some goats?" Tian asked hesitantly, even though his eyes sparkled when he saw all the attractive goats.
"Of course you can, Tian! This is also your money, so don't be shy, my son," his father replied with a smile, encouraging his son to take one decision.
"I choose this, this, and this," said Tian, pointing excitedly at three brown and black goats, two females and one male. "There are three in all!"
"Ohoh, you chose the fat ones, Tian. Hmm-hmm," said Mr. Brian with a laugh, his eyes sparkling at Tian's happiness.
Tian chuckled, "Yes, Uncle! They look healthy and strong!"
"Okay, wait here. Dad will pay for the goats," said David in a calm voice, stroking his son's hair.
Tian nodded, but quickly stopped his father in his tracks. "Yes, Dad. I'll just wait here with these goats," he said with a smile,
"Embeeee!" the goats replied, as if responding to Tian's greeting.
While David walked toward the farm owner, Tian sat down near his goats. After finishing his business, David returned with a big smile
"Thank you, Dad. For accompanying me to buy goats today," Tian said sincerely, his eyes sparkling looking at his goats.
"Yes, son. You're welcome," his father replied, smiling proudly.
"Okay, let's go! Let's go home before nightfall," his father said after he finished paying at the farm, his smile wide and full of happiness.
"Then, we'll take our leave first, Mr. Brian," Tian said while waving, his voice cheerful.
"Ah yes, see you later, David, Tian!" replied Mr. Brian, his friendly smile adding to the warmth of the farewell atmosphere.
When he arrived home, Tian immediately tied his three goats together with the goats that were already tied to the wooden pole. The sound of the rope rubbing and the hissing of the goats' lust could be heard as they moved around.
"You guys stay here, don't go anywhere!" Tian said firmly, his eyes sparkling looking at his goats. After that, he rushed into the house
