Chapter 5 - Chapter 3 yume or yumeha

Fujiwara Multimedia Entertainment is one of Japan's leading creative companies, known for producing high-quality content across various fields. Their work spans film, television, music, anime, games, digital media, and marketing campaigns. From blockbuster movies and chart-topping music to viral web series and innovative advertising, Fujiwara is at the forefront of entertainment and media innovation. The company not only produces content but also manages talent, develops original IPs, and collaborates with global brands.

The Fujiwara Multimedia Entertainment Company Headquarters was a symbol of success and innovation in the heart of Tokyo. With its glass walls reflecting the morning sun, the high-rise stood tall among the city's skyline, home to Japan's most prestigious entertainment brand. Each floor of the building was dedicated to different departments—from writing and animation to marketing, music, and production. The company prided itself not only on its creative output but also on its work environment.

Every employee, whether a senior executive or a fresh intern, had a personal office space—soundproof, tech-equipped, and designed for focus. Unlike typical corporate cubicles, these rooms were modern and comfortable, often personalized with artwork, storyboards, or characters. Yume's own room, though modest, was no exception.

The company also offered a range of facilities for its staff. There was a gourmet cafeteria on the 10th floor that served meals from around the world, a gym and wellness center with yoga and nap pods, and themed "inspiration rooms" for creators who needed a peaceful, creative escape. Employees could relax in stylish lounges, borrow books and media from the company library, and even bring children to the on-site daycare.

Fujiwara treated its employees with respect and equality, nurturing talent through mentorship programs and flexible work policies. It was more than just a workplace—it was a creative haven. No wonder working there was the dream of many.

Inside the spacious lobby, employees bustled about, greeting each other as they prepared for the day's work. A hush fell over the floor the moment Mr. Jin arrived. His presence commanded respect without the need for words. Sharp-suited and composed, Mr. Jin was more than just a high-ranking employee; he was the personal secretary to the owner of the company—a position of significant influence and authority. Everyone, regardless of rank or department, acknowledged his presence with deep respect.

As he made his way through the hallway, each person he passed stood a little straighter and greeted him with politeness and admiration. It wasn't fear, but reverence. Mr. Jin had earned a reputation for his discipline, sharp eye for talent, and loyalty to the company's owner. Employees, both senior and junior, worked diligently, always conscious that someone like Mr. Jin could be observing. Each person had their own workspace—an individual room or cubicle, depending on their position—and the atmosphere was one of focused energy and ambition.

Inside, seated at her desk near the window, was a young woman—around twenty—with shoulder-length dark hair and thoughtful eyes. She looked up quickly, surprised but composed.

"Good morning, Mr. Jin!" she said, rising to her feet with a slight bow. "Is there something I can help you with?"

Mr. Jin stepped inside, hands calmly folded behind his back, eyes briefly glancing at the notes and digital tablet on her desk.

"Yume," he said with a faint smile, "are you busy right now?"

"No, sir," she replied quickly, standing straight. "I was just organizing some draft notes. Please, tell me if you need anything."

He nodded slightly. "Actually, I came to inform you about something. A new intern is joining us tomorrow."

Yume blinked. "An intern?"

"Yes," Mr. Jin confirmed. "He'll be assigned to the marketing department, but since you've already been interning here for three months, I'd like you to keep an eye on him."

She hesitated, confused. "But sir... I'm a writer. Is the new intern also joining the writing team?"

"No," Mr. Jin said, adjusting his watch. "He's not a writer. Like I said, he's from marketing. But he's... familiar to me. So I want someone responsible to quietly observe how he adjusts here."

Yume frowned slightly. "Familiar, sir? As in, you know him personally?"

Mr. Jin gave a vague nod. "Something like that."

Understanding that further questions might be inappropriate, Yume simply nodded. "I understand. I'll do my best."

Mr. Jin gave her a small, approving smile.

"I knew I could count on you," he said. Then, without another word, he turned and left, the door closing quietly behind him.

As silence returned to the room, Yume slowly sat down, her mind racing with curiosity. Who was this intern? Why did Mr. Jin trust her of all people to observe him? And what kind of person was important enough to catch the attention of the owner's secretary?

[ Miyamora Yume is an intern in this office—a quiet, promising young writer who blends into the busy rhythm of everyday life. But hidden behind that name and that unassuming smile is a secret so immense, so delicate, that no one in the building could even begin to imagine it.

Because Miyamora Yume is not who she says she is.

She is Mitsui Yumeha—the youngest daughter of Mitsui Shigeru, the powerful head of Japan's largest marketing company. The Mitsui name is one that dominates industries, builds empires, and controls narratives. And yet, no one here knows the truth. No one realizes that the intern quietly typing in the corner is the heiress to one of the country's most powerful families.

Yumeha's true identity is a well-guarded mystery—not only to this office, but to the entire world. Her father, Mitsui Shigeru, has always kept her hidden from the media. There are no photos, no interviews, no public appearances. The world only knows that Mitsui Shigeru has a daughter—but they have never truly seen her.

And that's exactly how he wants it.

But Yumeha is not content living behind the velvet curtain of her family legacy. She goes to school like any ordinary girl, carefully maintaining the illusion of normalcy. Only a small, trusted circle knows who she really is. To the rest of the world, she is an enigma—a name whispered with curiosity, a girl who seems too perfect to be real.

Yet the secret she hides now is bigger than any she's kept before.

For the past three months, she has been working in this very office under a false identity. No one in her family knows she's here. Not her father, not her mother, not her grandfather—and especially not her elder brother, Mitsui Geto. They all believe she is attending piano classes every day, honing a skill befitting a girl of her stature. But that is a carefully crafted lie.

The only one who knows the truth is her sister-in-law—Mitsui Sakura, the composed and quietly intelligent wife of Mitsui Geto. Among the members of her powerful family, Sakura is the only one who truly understands Yumeha's heart. She alone sees the fire in the girl's eyes, the yearning to create, to live her life not as an heiress, but as a writer.

If Shigeru or Geto were to find out, everything would be over. Her dream would be crushed before it could even take shape. They love her deeply—perhaps too deeply—but their love comes with chains of expectation. They would never allow her to build a life of her own, especially not in secret. That is why this truth Yumeha carries is both frightening and oddly amusing.

For three months now, she has lived a double life.

At home, she is the obedient daughter—reserved, graceful, dutiful. In the office, she is Miyamora Yume—bright, curious, a little shy, but undeniably talented. Every morning, she slips out of her world of privilege and into one where no one knows her name. And every day, she inches closer to the life she truly wants.

What she's doing is dangerous.

One mistake, one familiar face, one slip of the tongue—and her entire secret could unravel. But despite the fear, she feels more alive here than she ever has behind the walls of the Mitsui estate. This stolen freedom, this quiet rebellion, is her greatest secret—and her greatest joy.

Because in this office, she is not Mitsui Yumeha.

She is just Yume.

And for now, that is enough. ]
