🌊 What Is the Sea of Fragments?

The Sea of Fragments is a vast, ever-expanding domain within the Story World — an unending ocean of individual worlds, each called a Fragment. Fragments are self-contained realities with their own timelines, settings, and narrative laws. They are the building blocks of the Story World's culture, economy, and power system.

🌀 Accessing Fragments: Two Entry Methods

Fragments can be entered in two distinct ways:

As a World (Standard Entry): You enter the Fragment like any other place — you physically exist there, interact with its people, and live out your life normally.

⚠️ Drawback: This does not gain you new powers or audience attention.

🪙 Cost: Cheaper — often used for travel, low-tier missions, or exploration.

As a Story (Playable Entry): You enter the Fragment through a narrative interface, becoming a Player in one of its internal Storylines.

🎮 Think of this like entering a game based on the world — an analogy provided by outside-world Readers.

💥 This allows you to:

Unlock new abilities based on the story you play.

Attract a Reader Audience.

Evolve your personal Story more rapidly.

🪙 Cost: More expensive — you pay the Reciter who controls the Fragment for access to their storyline.

📌 Example Fragment: [Gotham] — As explained by external Readers, one could either walk through Gotham as a civilian or enter a virtual recreation of the "Arkham Storyline" and become part of its unfolding events.

🎙️ What Are Reciters?

Reciters are elite Story System users who own and control Fragments, using their Stories as weapons, training grounds, and commercial assets. Their job is to recite a Fragment's story — guiding or restricting how it unfolds depending on their philosophy.

Key Traits of Reciters:

They channel the Story of a Fragment into a narrative that can be experienced, played, or watched.

They possess special Story Abilities drawn directly from the Fragments they manage.

Even a low-ranked Fragment (e.g., F Rank) is more powerful than a normal F Rank Player.

Reciter Types:

Passive Reciters: Let Players change the story freely.

Strict Reciters: Enforce the original story with minimal deviation.

Both are valid, and demand depends on Reader preference.

🧑‍💻 Who Are the Players?

A Player is any Story System user who enters a Fragment's Storyline — virtually — with the intent of advancing their personal Story and gaining an audience.

This includes almost every single inhabitant of the Story World. Even those not focused on battle participate in Fragment stories to improve their ranking or gain exposure.

Player Fragment Entry:

You do not need matching rank to enter a high-ranked Fragment.

Example: An F Rank Player can enter an SS Ranked Fragment.

However, the difficulty scales drastically.

⚠️ Readers describe this as the difference between playing a basic adventure game and a brutal, high-difficulty title (i.e., "Soulslike" games, a term provided by the Reader World).

Why Play?

Playing stories in Fragments is the quickest way to gain fame and cores.

Readers watch Fragment Storylines like episodic shows — the more dramatic or engaging your role, the more Readers follow you.

High engagement = higher Core output = faster power growth.

🏪 Fragment Access & Markets

Players apply to Reciters for storyline access. If approved, they must pay a price — which varies based on:

The Fragment's Rank

The popularity of the storyline

The Player's own reputation

Story Worlders and internal Readers usually experience these stories through recorded retellings or Blue Trade's Fragment Database, or simply by catching it live.
