Chapter 14 - Confused.

{CASTIEL'S POINT OF VIEW}

What is he doing?

I thought in confusion as his car continued to follow me closely but soon I noticed something strange.

It wasn't his car at all, like I had thought.

I swivel to another lane hoping to lose him off my tail but he followed me smoothly.

I tried to see who was behind the wheel, but I couldn't take my eyes off the road for that long and I could only keep driving.

My house is still about five minutes away, if he doesn't leave anytime soon, I would drive around for a while to lose him.

And just like I expected, he kept close to me even when we stopped at a red light and that's when I saw the person driving it.

I have seen or met him before, and that sent a new form of fear to my mind.

Who is he?

I drove around for a while, not wanting him to know where I live but things took an unexpected turn.

A muffled groan escaped my throat as I suddenly jerked forward, almost smacking my head on the headboard.

I gasped as I put the car to a stop, I slowly looked at my rear.

The driver had rammed into my car from behind.

"What does he want?" My hands slightly trembled as I gripped tightly on the steering.

I almost just had another accident.

Why is this happening to me?

I thought in frustration.

My phone suddenly buzzed, interrupting my thoughts.

I picked it up and almost dropped it back as I saw the number displayed on the screen.

He was the one that put me in this mess to start with, why is he calling?.

"Where are you now?" He asked in an urgent voice as soon as I picked the call.

"Why are you—

"Answer my fucking question, where are you now?!" He yelled again and I almost ended the call.

How can he call and yell at me?

"I'm inside my car, close to the first—

I gave my location away and he yelled at me not to leave where I was.

But the person driving the car behind me had come to my window.

He knocked on my window and gestured at me to open up.

I remember Seth's warning not to leave or open my car to anyone hence I shook my head at him.

His knock changed to bang and soon he was trying to break the glass.

I looked nervously around, and I was waiting for the same person I had wasted no time in running away from just now.

How can I suddenly trust someone I just met and barely know except on business grounds.

The loud noise of glass shattering filled the quiet night and I bent down to protect myself from the shards of glass.

There goes my second car, in less than two days.

The man grabbed at me and tried to pull me outside.

I fought against his hold as I noticed the strange look in his eyes.

Another car suddenly swiveled and parked roughly in front of me.

Relief suddenly swept over me as someone dropped from the car and grabbed at the man.

His grip on the man was strong and put him to the ground.

"Are you okay?" He asked and looked at me briefly.

Our eyes collided and I recognised him.

"Sage?" I called in confusion and his eyes widened before he pretended not to hear me.

"Did he hurt you?" He asked again, his eyes moving over my body while ignoring the confused look on my face.

Soon another car parked and people raced towards us.

"Castiel!" His voice called in panic.

I should have gone home, I thought as he stopped beside Sage.

"Who are you?" Sage asked, stopping him from getting closer to me.

Seth looked at Sage with a frown and ready to snap at him.

"Sage I know him" I interrupted them, dissolving whatever was about to happen.

I still haven't wrapped my head around what happened and watched everything in slow motion as Sage dragged the man that had ram into my car away.

"You will drive this car" Seth turned to say to his assistant before he turned a pair of urgent eyes at me.

"Let's go," he said and started to unlock the door.

I quietly let him do it, I had exhausted myself tonight.

All I want now is to get home to rest.

"Are you hurt anywhere?" He asked as I finally came out of the car. He gently picked off shards of glass that stuck to my clothes.

What is he doing? I was becoming more confused the more I got to know him.

One minute he is cold and blunt and another minute he is driving to meet me in the middle of nowhere.

Who exactly is he?

"I thought you dared me to go home" I reminded him as I stood back from his touch.

He straightened his back and stared at me with his pair of grey eyes, making words stuck in my throat for a second.

"Is that important right now?

You almost died!" He snapped almost angrily.

"And that is what I'm asking, what is your business if I die?!" I yelled back at him.

His jaw hardened as he looked back at me wordlessly.

Without a word, he held me by the hand and dragged me to his car.

I climbed into the passenger seat as he held the car door for me.

He turned the car around and drove in total silence, his grip on the steering as tight as a death hold.

I looked away angrily too, everything had seemed normal but now I can't even explain what's going on anymore.

The car drove into a district not far from my house, he drove into a parking lot.

He turned off the car and I waited for him to unlock the doors, but he didn't.

And for the most unexpected part of tonight, a warm lips landed on my lips and all my entire being froze.
