Eric smiled in glee. He continued to infuse his fist with pyromancy while harnessing the energy of the cosmos to win against the deadlock fists confrontation. However, he completely exhausted his energy on the energy core while he was just about to finish taking a breath, resulting in his loss…
It would have been the case as the Corpse Titan also failed to produce more strength to win. In the end, it retracted its fist backward and opened it. It knew Eric was immobile in mid-air unless he gained a footing to move. Hence, it took advantage of it and grabbed Eric's body until only his head popped up.
Eric mumbled. "Damn."
Eric felt his world spinning quickly when the Corpse Titan adjusted its grip, only seizing Eric's lower torso, making Eric's attempt to free from its grasp futile, and swung its elongated arm to the ground.
Eric saw the ground growing closer and he mumbled. "Damn. I'm doomed."
He said so, but he stretched his arms and opened his fists, as though he wanted to stop his fall with his open palms. It was a ridiculous idea but Eric's face remained indifferent with a mix of elatedness since he was fighting a powerful opponent.
When he collided with the ground, enough to kill him, his open palms slammed to the ground first.
According to Newton's third law of motion, "For every action, there is an equal and opposite reaction." Of course, Ixcahua did not remember Eric's memories mentioning about it since he did not delve more deeper, but as a Heavenly Sage, he was not a mortal not to be aware of the fundamentals of the universe.
Once his open palms crashed to the ground, the latter applied an equal and opposite force back to his open palm, eventually succeeding on his second axiom. The second axiom caused a conflict between the force on his open palm and on the ground, gradually ending him on springing back towards the air.
The Corpse Titan was taken aback, lost control of its elongated arm, but kept its grip at Eric. However, Eric cunningly imbued pyromancy on the second axiom earlier, causing a blazing flame to spread on the ground and the Corpse Titan's feet.
The flame's temperature sufficed in scorching the zombies' corpse covering the Corpse Titan's feet, causing the Corpse Titan to react, inevitably lessening its grip.
Eric took the chance to completely break free by executing the first axiom, the Sky-Quaking Fist, hammering his fist on the Corpse Titan's hand infused with pyromancy, definitely freeing Eric.
Eric guffawed while landing on the ground three meters away from the Corpse Titan, who was fuming in anger, staring at him with its massive crimson eyes in wrath.
Eric did not hold back anymore. He forced his body to enter an emergency state, causing him to activate the Last Stand Resilience.
His eyes turned blood crimson, gas emitted from his body. His transformation alarmed the Corpse Titan, who panickingly found another broken pillar. However, instead of throwing it, it used it as a weapon and swung it at Eric after closing their distance.
Eric was stunned at first. He felt the Corpse Titan's move was familiar. He reminisced about his past life, where he fought with Yeobui on his hand. Now, he felt empty and his heart ached.
He glanced at the Corpse Titan with bloody crimson eyes and smiled devilishly…
"You have to take responsibility for making me feel this way."
Eric turned to the left, welcoming the broken pillar heading towards him and grinned.
"You have never learned, do you?"
He redirected the broken pillar backward, causing the Corpse Titan to lose balance as the broken pillar swung in the opposite direction, faster than before, making it difficult to control. When it faced its back against Eric, it did not even worry.
After all, its back was covered with heavy armor, even its nape and the back of its head could be crystallized and hardened as long as it willed it.
When Eric leapt and attacked its back, it grinned. It hardened its back and spared a glance at Eric while trying to regain its balance.
Its eyes seemingly said, You don't learn, do you?
Eric, on other hand, discerned its mocking glare and stared at it. He chuckled and mumbled, "You need to learn something new."
Eric's right fist burst into flames. The temperature was similar before since the Last Stand Resilience only temporarily multiplied his physical aspects, especially the strength and speed. However, it does not mean the force he would apply would not augment the flame.
Hence, the Corpse Titan was definitely concerned by the strength behind Eric's attack. However, all it could place its hope into was the armor covering its back.
Eric did not even bother attacking the nape or the backhead of the Corpse Titan, directly punching on its back, where the heavy armor was imbued with necrotic energy.
He did not execute the first axiom nor the third axiom…
It was…
He mumbled, "Fourth Axiom: Boundless Star Collapse."
Or in other words, Heavenly Impact Fist. It was different from the third axiom where it extended the force outward, good for disrupting multiple enemies or damaging from a distance. Only Eric preferred for his fist to collide something before the energy of the cosmos and the sound waves traveled at a distance—it could be executed with pyromancy, too.
However, the fourth axiom was deadly in close-combat, perfect for duel. It was an instant-burst strike, where it condensed all the force into a single point like a collapsing star, harnessing the energy of the cosmos.
Imbued with a blazing trail of flames, it exploded on the Corpse Titan's heavy armor. If the third axiom could produce a similar noise of a grenade, the fourth axiom reverberated a noise of a nuclear missile.
It was deafening, shattering, and blinding.
The sheer density and compression of power was enough for the Juggernaut Frame, brimming with necrotic energy, to crack…
