Centered around Shimura Danzo, the Black Sealing Array erupted like a dark fountain, engulfing everything within a ten-meter radius.
Flowers, trees, birds, beasts—even insects—were instantly wrapped and sealed away.
Visually, this is far more impressive than in the original story, where it only sealed half a bridge, Sasame mused, still maintaining Sage Mode.
His heightened senses allowed him to detect Danzo's escape amidst the chaos.
Minutes later, the dust settled.
The ground was littered with black curse marks.
"He got away!"
Tsunade's expression darkened, though she could never be as ruthless as Danzo—ordering her men to charge into a Four Symbols Seal suicide trap.
Still, today's outcome was near-perfect.
Danzo had fled.
Koharu Utatane and Homura Mitokado were dead.
The remaining Root operatives had been captured, ensuring they'd never be a threat again.
Compared to Minato Namikaze's turbulent reign, Tsunade's position was now unshakable.
And both she and Sasame had gained intangible benefits.
Especially him.
By revealing Sage Mode and suppressing Danzo with Water Release, he'd effectively saved the lives of every ninja present.
Sasame could already feel the shift in their gazes—respect, not the patronizing admiration they'd once shown a mere Hokage disciple.
In the shinobi world, strength was everything.
And now, they saw him as a future Konoha elite—perhaps even the next Hokage.
[Due to your actions, the fates of Shimura Danzo, Koharu Utatane, Homura Mitokado, Aburame Torune, Yamanaka Fu, and others have been altered. Total Fate Points obtained: 560.]
The constant system notifications filled Sasame with delight.
Root had no shortage of named characters in the original story.
With this single sweep—Danzo, the two advisors, and multiple Root agents—he'd netted 560 points in one go.
Talk about a windfall.
He'd spent all his Fate Points on Sage Body, but now, he'd crossed 1,000 points again.
The more chaos I cause, the faster I profit.
"Kakashi, seal the bodies of Koharu and Homura. Hand them over to the Analysis Team."
Tsunade's orders were crisp.
A shinobi's corpse could speak volumes.
Even in death, they held secrets—networks of influence, hidden alliances.
As longtime advisors, Koharu and Homura had woven a vast web of interests.
Untangling it would be messy, but Tsunade needed to know who was involved.
"Understood."
Kakashi immediately organized the cleanup.
Nearby, Maruboshi Kosuke sighed heavily.
Of those present, he'd known Danzo, Koharu, and Homura the longest—all once students of the Second Hokage, Tobirama Senju.
In their youth, they'd been idealistic, burning with the Will of Fire.
Yet in their twilight years… they'd stained their legacy.
"Shizune, issue the order: Shimura Danzo is now classified as an S-rank rogue ninja."
Tsunade paused as a figure approached rapidly—Hiruzen Sarutobi.
"Tsuna—"
He froze at the sight of Koharu and Homura's corpses. "What happened?"
Though retired, Hiruzen still had informants.
He'd rushed over upon learning of Danzo's assassination plot—only to find his former teammates dead.
What shocked him most was that Tsunade had killed them.
Since when did she become so ruthless?
"They aided Danzo's rebellion. Died in combat."
Tsunade omitted Might Guy's role, wary of Hiruzen's lingering sentimentality.
Besides, their deaths were justified.
Had they not intervened, she might've spared them—forced retirement at worst.
But they'd chosen their fate.
"Fools!"
Hiruzen could only curse under the watchful eyes of the gathered shinobi.
In truth, he did think they'd acted recklessly.
This outcome was inevitable.
"Danzo escaped?"
Tsunade nodded. "He's already been branded a traitor."
"Handle the aftermath carefully. Konoha cannot afford further turmoil."
Hiruzen's voice was weary.
With his son and grandson dead, his comrades gone or exiled, the last of his generation had nearly vanished.
Even the strongest will would crumble under such losses.
And Hiruzen… was no longer the "God of Shinobi."
Age had eroded his resolve.
"I will."
Tsunade understood his unspoken plea—damage control.
Danzo, Koharu, and Homura had allies.
Purging them all would destabilize Konoha.
And some of those allies… probably answer to you, old man.
As Hiruzen left, Sasame watched him go.
The debt collector isn't me.
It's Naruto.
And the Fourth Hokage.
And Kushina.
This… will be fun.
"Everyone, return to the village."
With the operation concluded, Tsunade dismissed the troops.
"Yes, Hokage-sama!"
Today's events would ripple through Konoha.
Most major clans had witnessed the showdown.
By tomorrow, the story would spread—cementing Tsunade's authority.
And Sasame's reputation.
Once alone, Tsunade rounded on Sasame.
"Where were you earlier?"
She flicked his forehead. "If you'd shown up sooner, we might've caught Danzo!"
"Sister, you're scolding your greatest contributor!"
Sasame caught her finger, grinning. "Why do you think Koharu and Homura joined the fight?"
"You?"
"They were hiding nearby, waiting to back the winning side. I forced their hand."
He omitted his Eternal Mangekyō Sharingan—no need to complicate things.
Even without it, being caught by the Hokage's disciple would've pressured them into action.
(As for the Analysis Team… he'd deal with them later.)
"I see."
Tsunade's lips curled as she squeezed his hand. "Then today's victory does belong to you."
"Exactly!"
Sasame's eyes sparkled. "So… where's my reward?"
"How about… Hokage Advisor?"
Though young, his achievements—Sage Mode, crushing Root, exposing the conspiracy—earned him the rank.
With her backing, the village would accept it.
"What else?"
Sasame couldn't care less about titles.
Why be advisor when the Hokage is mine already?
He wanted something… more exciting.
"Greedy brat."
Tsunade rolled her eyes. "Fine. Name your price."
Leaning in, Sasame whispered his request.
"You—! Is that how you see the Hokage?!"
Her face flushed crimson. "Absolutely not!"
"A Hokage should be fair. Don't I deserve a proper reward?"
"Pick something else!"
Her fist clenched. "Before I lose my temper."
"No."
Sasame held firm—then switched tactics, eyes puppy-dog soft. "…Sis?"
Tsunade's resolve wavered—before she saw through his act.
"No. That's final."
Sasame fell silent.
Pushing further would backfire.
So he deployed Plan B.
Slumping his shoulders, he muttered, "Let's just go back," and turned away—not holding her hand.
Tsunade stared, conflicted—
Then snapped.
"You little—!"
She grabbed his shoulder, spinning him around.
"…You really want this?"
Her voice was steady, but her cheeks burned.
For her, this was unthinkable—too bold, too shameless.
But…
"Only once."
"I love you, sis!"
Sasame lit up, pulling her into a hug and planting a kiss on her cheek.
Tsunade blinked—then smiled.
Beneath her iron demeanor, she'd always feared losing him—to time, to younger women.
But his obsession soothed that fear.
Crushing him against her chest, she whispered, "I love you too," voice girlishly tender.
When his hands began wandering, she lightly smacked them—but didn't stop him.
"Wait."
Her breath hitched. "…Not here."
All traces of the Fifth Hokage had vanished.
Only Tsunade remained—flushed, breathless, wanting.
Sasame grinned, crouching. "Hop on."
"Tch. Still taking advantage?"
But she didn't refuse, looping her arms around his neck and pressing against his back—deliberately shifting.
"You're playing with fire."
He smacked her thigh in retaliation.
"Rebellious, are we?"
She nipped his ear, breath hot. "I'm still Hokage. Keep this up, and I'll have you locked up."
"You'll regret that."
Sasame's grin turned wolfish.
Oh, he'd make her regret those words.
The night… was far from over.
