Alessandro's POV
"Russo is so desperate to bring you down and he has been secretly digging into your privacy even before now." The man who was still tied down said and I dropped the gun in my hand.
"Continue." My gaze was hard on him and the more he spoke, the more I got angrier.
"Amelia."
I looked up when he mentioned that. What about her?
"Rusoo wants to use the person you love most to get back at you and that's why he wants to be clear about your feelings for Amelia. They say you love her even though you act all stern towards her." He continued. "That's all I know, Capo. I swear. I just need money for my daughter's surgery. I wouldn't have agreed to this deal in the first place. I..."
"Shut up!" I raised my finger arnd his face lit up in extra fear.
"Who else apart from you gives Russo information about me?" I asked, folding my hands as I stared at him intently.
He shook his head hesitant to answer my question but the moment I picked up my gun, he started rambling.
"I...I don't really know but Regina whom I know is your girlfriend, shows up often at the property. I'm new to the gang and don't know much but with what I've seen so far, the woman who appears with you on camera acting all lovely is nothing but a vixen." He said and my grip tightened on the gun in my hand, my knuckles flexing.
"She wants something from Russo which I don't really know. But they're really close just like she is to you. I don't know whether she feeds Russo with any information about you but I'm damn sure she's not to be trusted."
He paused for a while and opened his mouth to speak again. "Please don't say any of these things to Russo. He'll kill me."
I gulped and shook my head. "You begged for death the moment you stepped your foot into this place. You...trespassed and you'll be losing your fingers for that."
His face flushed red with shock. Did he expect less?
"You have a better reason doing this so for the sake of your daughter, I'll spare your life but you'll lose your ten fingers. Tell Russo he failed again."
"Ten fingers, Kiki. Don't kill him." I said to my torture admin before leaving the dark room.
I didn't turn back even at the incessant pleas of the man and walked away.
I received a message and a frown etched up my face when I realised it was from Regina.
Nude attachments. Normally, I would've developed a boner by now but I wasn't the least aroused by the naked pictures.
How dare her show up after all she had done? How dare her betray me and chose to be loyal to Russo?
Where was the love she claimed to have for me? That was all a lie, I guess.
I went to my room and saw Regina lying on the bed. I didn't expect her to be this confident and come back here after all she had done.
She must think I was in the dark; that I don't know anything about her involvement with Russo and what she was planning behind my back?

"Why are you so angry? I only want us to masturbate together!" Regina pouted as I pushed her away from me.
"You think I don't know everything you've done behind my back?" I yelled, my veins popping.
Regina shrugged, feigning ignorance. "What do you mean? I have only been attending meetings and all with the foreign traders and investors. Is there a problem with that?"
I chuckled, grabbing her wrist roughly. "You claim you're pregnant with my child but you fuck that asshole too. The baby is just some fucking bastard. I'm not responsible for it."
"What are you spouting, baby? Of course, I'm pregnant with your child. I've been so faithful to you all these years and now you accuse me of cheating on you? How low of you!" She struggled to snatch her wrist away and I save her the stress and yanked her off.
She picked up her dress and quickly put it on in anger. "You know what, Sandro? I'm done with you. Goodbye and good riddance!"
I locked the door and pushed her away from the doorstep. "You're not leaving until you explain who the hell is in this video?"
Regina's face flushed with all shades of red as her gaze locks with my the screen of my phone.
There was a sex video of her and Russo sent to me by Gianni.
"I….I.." she stuttered, moving backwards as my hard glare hit her. "This is just some photoshopped video, Sandro. This... can't be true. How on earth would I sleep with another man when I have you, baby." She tried to move forward again and I moved closer to her instead.
She charged backwards again, clutching her purse tightly. Confused fool!
"I can't believe I've only loved a traitor for fucking 12 years. What do you have to gain, Gina? What did I ever do to deserve this?" I asked, gripping her neck as I shouted.
She only looked at me in shock but as seconds passed by, the expression on her face changed and was now replaced with a scornful look, void of regret.

Regina tried to give him a kick on my dick but I strike first and grab her leg, pushing her away. She hit her nose on the drawer and I could see her nose bleeding.
I only got more angry and there was no sympathy or remorse for what I had done which I normally would've felt.
"You wanna explain, right? Speak, tell me what you were desperate for!" I folded my arms, tapping my foot on the floor impatiently.
She scoffed and spat on my face as she stood up and wiped the blood stain on her lips. "Yeah, I was desperate! I really was and still am. I have just been stuck with you for damn 12 years, Alessandro. There's nothing to gain from you and instead my family is the one who helps you. You should be grateful I'm only telling on you and not doing something even worse!"
I scoffed, brushing my hair backwards. "You call those 12 years with you, damn years? Hell, I had to put up with your annoying amd overbearing attitude, Gina. I gave you everything you wanted but you just proved to me that you're nothing but a fucking slut and a crazy bitch who goes around spreading her legs for random men!"
My words are followed by a tight slap on my face and I laughed dryly as I brushed my palm over the red mark on my cheek.
"You're forcing me to break the principles I've laid, Regina. I have never raised my hands on a woman and I won't do that to you either. You've just shown yourself." I began, letting a painful chuckle out of my mouth.
"But why did you involve Amelia in your dangerous game? Does she have to be the ransom for your stupidity?"
"You're nothing but a bloody liar, Alessandro!" Regina bickered, raising her voice at me. "The moment that bitch showed up, your actions towards me changed. You fucked me differently; loved me differently. She holds a better place in your heart while I'm just your side chick. You know what?" She picked up her purse from the floor and turned to me.
"I'm breaking up with your fucking dumbass!" She retorted, throwing on my face the necklace I gifted her on her 20th birthday.
"Don't call or text me, you motherfucker. Your number will be lying in my blacklist just in a few seconds! Good luck building another fucked up relationship with your 'sex slave'."
I watched Regina walk away. Her words hit my very hard and I felt my heart break into halves.
My La Rosa? Breaking up with me? I guess it's so easy to end a relationship I laboured so much for.
My heart sank and I staggered backwards, clutching the necklace in my hand. I raised it up to get a better view and as the shining diamond glowed brightly , it reminded me of my mom's words.
"You and Regina would make the best couple. I've never seen a love so beautiful."
Those words that made me happy then, struck a cord in me right now that I feel like tearing myself apart.
I'm…. nothing but a fool. Who gave in to love.
I have lost.
But... maybe I didn't love Regina too, maybe our relationship was only built on the friendship between the two families. Maybe I only loved her for the sake of my father.
