Chapter 15 - Chapter - 15

He was once an eternally single man after all. Surviving off of food on sale is a lifestyle.

The next 15 minutes were spent with Sebastian throwing whatever was on sale in the cart and Cynthia continually comparing different items in the store with what could be found in her home world. She found that most items were similar, even if the technology surrounding this new world she found herself in was vastly different.

By the end of the shopping trip, Sebastian had 3 bags hanging from both hands as he walked home with Cynthia at his side.

"I can carry some too?" Cynthia asked out of compassion.

Without the ability to use his notepad, Sebastian simply shook his head and kept walking.

The rest of the walk home was peaceful. By the time they'd gotten back to Sebastian's house, the sun had set.

"Finally! Hurry up and cook so we can clip the wings of some fallen angels!" Shego hurriedly spoke. If there was one thing she loved, it was violence.

The girls remained in the living room, occasionally making small talk while Sebastian got to cooking. He wasn't particularly amazing at cooking, but his food was edible.

And what he brought out of the kitchen, was basic spaghetti bolognese. The exact same kind you can find in any regular old restaurant.

"Spaghetti?" To Sebastian's surprise, everyone present recognized the food put in front of them. He assumed that with character's he'd never seen before, there'd most likely be one or two of the girls that didn't know what modern food was, but he was mistaken.

"This is it? You brought back 6 bags of food and you only made this?" Shego complained. Despite her complaints, she instantly set into eating the food put in front of her.

"Yes? I needed food for the next couple of days anyway so I made sure to stock up while we were there. " Sebastian explained through the use of his notepad.

Widowmaker was the only one that refused to eat.

The rest of dinner went by fairly quietly. None in the group were very familiar with each other, so small talk didn't come naturally.

In order to alleviate the awkward atmosphere, Sebastian turned on the nearby T. V.

and let the girls decide what they wanted to watch.

After an hour or so, everyone had gotten completely prepared to complete the mission. With the location gathered from Rias and a detailed plan made (courtesy of the combined efforts of Konan and Widowmaker), the small group of interdimensional travelers were ready to complete the tutorial mission.

Without wasting any time, Raven opened a purple- ethereal portal which everyone cautiously entered.

The other end of the portal was located at a cliff overseeing an abandoned church.

"An abandoned church full of fallen angel? How fitting. " Raven quietly commented.

"Sebastian, how long until your friends arrive?" Konan inquired.

"About 20 minutes. " Sebastian responded using his notepad.

"We don't know if outsiders of the group chat can steal contribution yet, so it's safer to kill them all before they get here. " Konan thought out loud.

"Wait kill them?" Raven questioned. "The mission said 'deal with', there's no need to kill them!" She argued.

"Who the hell cares about the lives of some crows?" Shego laughed.

"I'm also objected to killing. " Cynthia agreed.

"But it isn't our decision to make. "

Cynthia then looked towards Sebastian.

"This is your world. You have to deal with the consequences of this decision.

" She spoke. "Of course, if that decision is to kill, then I won't be helping.

"

The two 'sides' were pretty defined. Konan, Shego and Widowmaker were fine with ending the lives of the fallen angels, while Raven and Cynthia refused to assist in killing 'people'.

Sebastian knew that if he made the decision to hold off on killing the fallen angels, that Shego, Widowmaker and Konan would still participate in the raid. They would still want the contribution after all.

However, the reverse was not true.

Thinking it through, the choice was obvious.

"We kill them. " Sebastian's notepad showed.

"I was hunted down by one of them not too long ago. I survived by the skin of my teeth.

If we don't get rid of them now, they may continue to be a threat. "

"Understood. " Cynthia nodded.

She hated the idea of killing people, but she was mature enough to understand that it wasn't her decision to make.

". .

. " Raven had a sour expression on her face.

Heroes from the DC universe have an obsession with keeping everyone they can alive, including criminals. So, allowing this group to cause a massacre took a toll on her.

In her world, she would be there if the criminals she didn't kill broke out of prison and caused some chaos. However, she wouldn't always be in this world, she couldn't allow her selfishness cause deaths and misery in a world she couldn't help.

After she finished her sentence, Shego and Konan lowered themselves from the cliff and started making their way towards the church. Widowmaker and Sebastian set up on the cliff while Raven and Cynthia didn't participate.

The plan was rather simple, Widowmaker would have her bullets enhanced by Sebastian's words while everybody else went in and caused chaos.

Widowmaker set up her sniper's nest. She lied down on her stomach, looking through her scope and through the church's windows.

Multiple loaded magazines lied next to her gun, ready to be loaded when she needed them.

Of course, she still had the majority of magazines on her person. She wasn't stupid enough to not have a plan B.

And finally, when screams and shouts came from the church, the four that stayed behind knew that the raid had begun.

Inside of the abandoned church, mere minutes before the raid, dozens of fallen angels gathered in the basement.

"Are the preparation set?" A particularly important fallen angel spoke.

"Yes Raynare, the ritual is ready to begin. " Another fallen angel told her.

"Good. " Raynare spoke before approaching the 'sacrifice'.

"What a poor little doll. A shame I need to mess up this pretty face to get what I want.
