Kyle and Sophie were entwined on the bed, Sophie's head resting on Kyle's chest. His hands moved to her bra, fingers slipping beneath the fabric to gently tease her nipples. Sophie's eyes fluttered closed as she let out a soft sigh, her body responding to his touch.
As Kyle's hands continued exploring, Sophie grew shy. She buried her face in his chest, cheeks flushed with embarrassment. Sensing her hesitation, Kyle paused.
But before he could say anything, Sophie began kissing and licking his chest, slowly working her way up. Their eyes met, Kyle's pupils dilated with desire.
Their lips met in a slow, deep kiss. Kyle's tongue invited hers in—but just when the moment was heating up, Sophie pulled away, a mischievous spark in her eyes. She slipped off him and began dressing.
"Where are you going?" Kyle asked, a little breathless.
Sophie smiled, eyes glinting. "I'm going to meet Alva." She leaned in for a quick kiss and darted out the door, leaving Kyle staring after her, his heart pounding.

Sophie sat cross-legged in Alva's room, eyes wide with curiosity as Alva spoke. "He thought I was pregnant," Alva said with a giggle.
"What? Just because you talked to him?" Sophie asked.
Alva grew serious. "No, it's more than that. I stayed at his place."
Sophie's eyebrows shot up. "You what? I thought you didn't even like him. Why?"
Alva took a deep breath. "He kissed me at Kyle's house."
Sophie gasped. "And you denied it?"
"I was ashamed," Alva admitted. "So I told him he had to date me. Then we went on a date and got into a car accident."
Sophie was stunned. "Wait—what? Are you okay?"
"He had to take care of me afterward. He fed me… bathed me..."
Sophie blinked. "Bathed you?!"
Alva nodded, blushing. "And then he slept beside me because I was scared. But everything ended when his phone wouldn't stop ringing. I asked if it was his ex, but he didn't answer. So I left."
Sophie nodded slowly, processing everything. "And you kissed again?"
"Yeah," Alva whispered. "I asked him if he liked me. He didn't say anything, so I left."
Sophie leaned in. "So… do you like him?"
Alva shook her head. "No."
Sophie laughed. "Oh, please. You totally do! You don't kiss guys like that unless you're into them."
Alva looked away, caught off guard by how accurate her friend was. Sophie added, "He thought you were pregnant, and you didn't deny it—you asked if he liked you. That's what you really wanted to know."
Suddenly, Alva's mom burst into the room. "Alva, are you pregnant?"
"No, Mom!" Alva shouted.
"Were you even at Sophie's for the past three days?"
"We were just talking!" Alva insisted.
Her mom looked skeptical. "If you were pregnant… is the father rich? Handsome?"
Alva and Sophie exchanged shocked, amused glances. Once her mom left, Alva turned to Sophie. "What about you and Kyle? Are you two back together?"
Sophie grinned. "Yep! I apologized, and then we—"
"Ugh! Don't say it!" Alva laughed. "You're so spoiled!"
Sophie raised her hands in defense. "It wasn't like that!"
Alva smirked. "Do you think Brian likes me?"
Sophie tilted her head. "I don't know… who wouldn't? You're my baby."
Alva smiled shyly. "I want him to love me a little."
Sophie sighed playfully. "Then seduce him."
Alva's eyes widened. "What?!"
"I don't think he's been with anyone before," Sophie mused. "He's only bathed you, fed you, kissed you, and slept next to you."
Alva leaned forward. "You think so?"
Sophie nodded. "That's how Kyle was with me, too. Until we watched a movie and he kissed me."
Alva hesitated. "Should I tell Brian I'm pregnant?"
"No," Sophie said with a grin. "You should sleep with him."
Alva's face turned red. "You're terrible!"
Sophie laughed. "My first boyfriend was worse!"
They giggled together, the tension easing.

Back at the office, Alva was surprised when Cody called her in. "We're flying to Chicago tonight. Be ready."
"Wait, I'm done?" she asked, stunned.
Later that evening, Alva stood outside Cody's house, empty-handed. Without much warning, he ushered her into a private jet. As they soared through the sky, excitement mixed with nerves inside her.
Onboard, Alva sat on edge while Cody focused on his phone in the corner seat. After landing, they headed to their hotel, worn out from the day.
"We'll get a room to rest," Cody said.
Alva hesitated but followed. Inside, Cody removed his jacket and sat at the edge of the bed, scrolling through emails. Alva let her hair down, unbuttoned the top of her blouse, and tried to look alluring.
But Cody didn't even glance her way. He was deep in his screen, lost in work. Alva sighed, amused and a little disappointed.
Maybe next time, she thought.
