It wasn't until Lu Heng had been gone for a while that Furina dared to peek out from under the covers.
Like a thief, she cautiously lifted a corner of the blanket and carefully observed her surroundings.
Only after confirming that Lu Heng had really left did Furina finally let out a sigh of relief.
So embarrassing!
Lying on the bed, Furina stared at the ceiling, her mind gradually calming down. Then she realized something strange.
She had a very odd feeling.
Clearly, the big event was already over, yet she was still hung up on trivial matters!
How bizarre!
After some hesitation, Furina shifted slightly.
A faint ache made her frown.
She thought for a moment and tried activating a healing card.
Sure enough, it helped ease the discomfort, at least enough to let her move freely.
Taking advantage of Lu Heng's absence, Furina glanced around the room.
After a brief pause, she slipped into her slippers and dashed to the bathroom.
A long time later...
Furina emerged wrapped in a towel, wearing Lu Heng's slippers.
Just as she returned to the bedroom, she noticed a conspicuous stain on the bedsheet.
After several moments of hesitation, she yanked the sheet off.
She cared deeply about this.
From Lu Heng's perspective, it wouldn't matter whether it was washed, thrown away, or even burned.
But for Furina, it held meaning—not in itself, but in what it represented.
After much deliberation, she simply folded it and put it away. At the very least, she didn't want to destroy it for now.
Ding~
Her phone, placed on the bedside table, chimed.
Furina picked it up and saw a message from Lu Heng.
"What do you want to eat? [Image][Image]..."
The images showed various card effects—all of them food-related, each with unique properties.
"Pick something. I'll make it for you to help you recover."
Am I that weak?
Furina tilted her head and thought for a moment. Well, maybe a little.
She selected two images and sent them back to Lu Heng.
Not long after, there was a knock on the door. Lu Heng entered with the food.
Noticing the missing bedsheet, he set up a small table beside Furina and smiled. "I'm thinking of moving to a new place, creating a pocket dimension. What style do you like?"
Furina blinked in surprise.
She hadn't expected Lu Heng to ask about this.
After a moment's thought, she replied, "Somewhere with a nice view?"
"A good view is a must. Anything else?"
"No."
Furina wasn't picky about this. Her attention was already on the food in front of her.
It smelled delicious, and though she hadn't been particularly hungry earlier, her appetite was now fully awakened.
Between bites, she suddenly asked, "Will you love me forever?"
She felt a bit insecure, her mind wandering to countless uncertainties.
Hearing this question, Lu Heng's smile didn't waver, but alarms were already ringing in his mind.
Furina's query was one he could answer with absolute certainty.
But he knew this was just the beginning—there would undoubtedly be more questions to follow.
To reassure her, Lu Heng decided to pick the most perfect response from countless possible futures.
Cyber fortune-telling, I'm counting on you!
In just ten minutes...
Furina was beaming.
Hehe, he really does love me!
Lu Heng smiled warmly.
Cyber fortune-telling is truly a game-changer!
In this context, Lu Heng felt like an omniscient deity.
Just look—Furina was practically glowing with happiness.
"But is it real?"
Furina's smile faded.
Something felt off. It was as if she'd suddenly gained a brain.
Without relying on cyber fortune-telling, Lu Heng replied earnestly, "I told you—I won't lie to you."
There was no need for him to say anything insincere. He'd only used cyber fortune-telling to express his feelings more perfectly.
"Hehe, I'll love you forever too!"
Furina grinned and stretched out her arms. "Hug."
Lu Heng embraced her.
"You go do your thing. I want to sleep a little more."
Furina wasn't fully rested.
She could move around the room just fine, but after some thought, she decided to go back to sleep.
"Alright."
Lu Heng laid out a fresh bedsheet and cleared away the dishes.
"Oh, right!"
Furina suddenly remembered something. With certainty, she said, "Focalors is here, isn't she?"
Lu Heng nodded.
Furina hesitated, seemingly wrestling with her thoughts. Finally, she said, "Let her keep you company. I'm going to sleep!"
It was inevitable. She couldn't make things difficult for Lu Heng.
Lu Heng was taken aback and was about to say something when Furina waved him off, signaling that she didn't want to hear it.
Seeing her snuggle under the covers, Lu Heng left the room.
Inside the shop...
Klee was feeding the mechanical kitten formed by the Civilization Core.
Focalors smiled when she saw Lu Heng emerge. "How is she?"
"In good spirits. Just catching up on sleep."
Lu Heng nodded, then added, "If you wanted to explore Fontaine today, she probably wouldn't be able to join you."
"I know."
Focalors gave a slight nod.
In theory, she'd already studied the situation all night and understood it well.
She didn't say anything more.
Lu Heng walked to the counter and checked the card issuance records.
Neither Fontaine's court nor Liyue Harbor had any cards requiring appraisal, meaning he had the entire morning free.
He turned to Focalors. "I've got some free time. Want to go explore together?"
"Better not." Focalors shook her head.
"Furina agreed." Lu Heng added.
"When do we leave?"
Wow, you can change your expression fast.
Lu Heng chuckled and pulled out his phone to check for messages. After getting a reply, he said, "Anytime."
"Klee~"
Lu Heng called out.
"Klee is here~"
Klee patted the mechanical kitten's head and responded loudly.
"Big brother is going on a date with Sister Focalors. Should I send you to Liyue to play with Zhongli and the others?" Lu Heng asked.
"Okay!"
Klee replied even louder, her big eyes blinking as she looked between Lu Heng and Focalors.
Lu Heng raised his hand and opened a portal.
"Then Klee is off! Have fun on your date, big brother and sister~"
Klee waved enthusiastically and hopped through the portal, ready for some fun.
"Sending her away—are you planning something naughty?"
Focalors giggled, pretending to shield herself in mock fear.
"Who knows?" Lu Heng smirked.
"Alright~"
Focalors neither agreed nor disagreed, simply smiling as she said, "Let's go. I've already seen Fontaine's court. How about some scenery in the wild?"
"Let's go!"
Lu Heng opened a portal directly, saving them a long journey.
The destination was a beach.
Focalors spread her arms, feeling the breeze.
She was wearing a hat and a white strapless dress tied at the waist with a blue silk ribbon.
The wind gently ruffled her skirt.
Focalors was in high spirits.
"This feeling of freedom is truly wonderful."
She turned back with a smile and reached out to Lu Heng. "Shall we hold hands?"
"Of course."
Meanwhile, the trio of street wanderers arrived at the shop.
"Where did your brother Lu go?" Zhongli asked curiously.
"Brother Lu went on a date with Sister Focalors!" Klee answered.
"Huh?"
The response was unexpected.
"What about your sister Furina?"
"Sister Focalors said Sister Furina had a stomachache and was sleeping. Klee doesn't know." Klee shook her head.
Oh~
Understanding dawned.
"Let's go listen to some opera." Zhongli smiled.
As they walked, Venti suddenly grinned. "Hey, do you think Focalors and Furina count as refining some kind of metal?"
Zhongli paused.
Truly the mind of a free spirit—how did he even make that connection?
He struggled to keep a straight face and, after a moment of silence, said, "It's fine. At least Boss Lu is an adult. In another hundred thousand years, everyone will be about the same age."
"Haha."
Venti thought so too and laughed. "Let's go."
