" You've decided not to be useful so you have to be punished until you learn!" Mr Bold said
" Please let her go, she's only but a child she won't be able to work in such a place" Mrs bold pleaded but her stubborn husband will never listen.
"She has to work for every food she eats! Now take her with you Dragon" he instructed one of his servant.
That was the beginning of Kessy's suffering as she laboured day and night just like every other labourer but with a difference. While others were being payed for their work she got nothing in return and when she asked the man in charge he asked her to go meet her father.
" It's the boss order Kassandra but you're his daughter, so go to him"
Kessy knew all too well that her father won't succumb to her pleas, so she continued to work.
When ever she saw a written word, she would ask what it is from anyone.
One specific day her mom snicked some food and brought for her knowing she wasn't feeding properly.
"Mom thank you, this is the best meal I've eaten in three months" Kessy told her mom who forced a smile.
"I'll speak with your father so he brings you back home" her mom said but Kessy knew better still she didn't oppose her.
When Mrs Bold got home she made all her husbands favorite dish, to which he enjoyed.
"Now what does lady Bold wants" Mr Bold asked after he finished his food, he knew all too well that she has something to request for as to why she prepared all of his favorite dishes.
"It's been months now, please bring back out daughter" she said going straight to the point.
"She has to learn her lessons for going against me her father and as for you you're not to see her again_ I'll let today slide" Mr Bold said leaving the dinner table, Mrs Bold wasn't surprised how he knew of her visit.
But she never stopped sending food to Kessy even after a year_ during this period Kessy fell seriously sick and need medical attention.
"Master Bold our daughter is sick and needs medical attention, bring her back please" Mrs Bold cried
"I'll do that on one condition, that she agrees to marry the mayor" Mr Bold said to which his wife swallows hard. She will find a way out later but now her daughters health is all that matters.
" Alright I'll prepare her" she agreed.
But little did they know someone heard they said and his gonna do all it takes to prevent it from happing.
"Kessy my darling know one else will have you expect me, I've watched you grow into the beautiful young lady you've become over the years" said a nephew to my Bold.
Rumors have it that he wasn't truly of the Bold family but no one will voice it to their face.
"Dear Uncle Bush don't you think I need some reward after working and managing your properties all these years with little or no payment? Ha, it's time I take my reward" the young Bold said to himself.
